1021  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: February 10, 2013, 02:45:35 PM
That's right, 16% of initial investment. But price/BTC since then has doubled, at least.
Good luck with recovering our funds. Can you please tell us what's the status of Gigamining shares?
1022  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Closing] on: February 10, 2013, 02:10:07 PM
Payment received. My current status of an investment with you is: 16.26% funds I invested I have back. Probably I will never recover all of it but at least we have higher BTC/fiat rate right now so numbers are better.
I want this investment fund closing to be handled in secure way, with all required time to get things done, without selling shares for a friction of price. I can wait. Thanks again, DeadTerra  Smiley
1023  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [400GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: February 10, 2013, 08:01:59 AM
Thanks. I tried it, working very well - but ONLY with getwork.
When this bug with Stratum will be finally fixed? I cannot connect my Stratum Mining Proxy to any p2pool.
AFAIR Slush said that's bug in p2pool, not in his proxy.

http://nodes.p2pmine.com/ doesn't seem to be working.

1029  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2000 GH/s] BitMinter.com [ASIC support: var diff, Stratum, GBT, rolllntime] on: February 03, 2013, 12:00:16 AM
I'm using Stratum.

Increasing the diff level could cut the/my *outgoing* number of packets in half or by a fourth.

If you're using Stratum your bandwidth usage is already low, comparing to GetWork, which is still used by a lots of people. Diff on Stratum is sorted automatically based on your hashrate, to keep your bandwidth usage as same, low level, regardless of the hashing power. If you want to have static diff, changes has to be made to Stratum protocol itself, which may not be greatest idea, as it is working now as indented (dynamically).
"If you're using Stratum your bandwidth usage is already low, comparing to GetWork"
Yes, I know.

"Diff on Stratum is sorted automatically based on your hashrate"
No. This is not inherent to Stratum. This is how BitMinter is setting vardiff.

"If you want to have static diff, changes has to be made to Stratum protocol itself"
False. Again, this is not inherent to Stratum.

You are making authoritative sounding responses without fully understanding the subject matter.

Sorry about that, I am not an expert, not even trying to make "authoritative sounding responses", whatever it means Smiley For me, it was Stratum who changes my miner difficulty - same on BitMinter and same on p2pool, I though that's it's feature. On stratum proxy you have option --real-target to force diff1, otherwise it will be dynamic diff.

Could we have an option to set a minimum diff on the website, please?

I'm only cranking about 2.5gh, so the algorithm you use for vardiff doesn't quite push me over the edge, but I would like to set a minimum diff of 2 or 4, and accept the increased variance, just to reduce my network traffic.

Why don't you just switch to Stratum?

Oracle is doing a terrible job keeping people informed about Java vulnerabilities and patching them. I think they are intentionally dragging their feet so that everyone switches it off in browsers etc (then they don't have to support it).
Nowadays, you don't need to even switch if off yourself in your browser. Mozilla Firefox is disabling Java addon competely by default, as soon as it is installed:

Indeed, it holds for 382 MB for whole day and even decreasing over time. Thank you forrestv! Smiley

Please check my node:

Not yet 12 hours uptime and already 671MB usage, according to Memory Usage details on Graph tab. I am running out of memory now as I have 1GB RAM on this machine. Soon I will have to turn it off - there is no change in memory usage since December 2012. It's still very high and unusable for me.

I don't have any useful update yet. Please don't be impatient, I know that Avalon is probably shipping, but our solution should be far more competitive, so there will still be an advantage.
Sorry for being harsh, but I don't care about Avalon, I am just asking about your progress.
"Far more competitive" - that's because? I really don't understand why you cannot post ANY details. This isn't adding confidence to your business.

I received a payment from Pyramining today...thank you.

You don't need to thank me, it's just normal.

I hope Pyramining is not dependent on [edit: put your favorite vendor here] with their Asics... don't want to loose all my coins

Nobody will lose their coins. Should something go extremely wrong (extremely unlikely), coins will be sent back. I'm financially solid.

Can you give us a brief update with ASIC development progress?

Payment received, thanks!

I confirmed receiving payment from 11-01-2013. But did not receive latest one. I sent you PM.
