Yes this is all normal as the non Bitcoin miners are all trying to frantically mine Litecoin before the diff gets too high. Once things stabilise then, the regular miners with be back.

The download link for the Windows client at bbqcoin.org is working now.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Building Bitcoin-QT With Source Using Windows 7 on: March 07, 2013, 05:36:10 PM
I have looked into this more and it looks like it is better to compile it in Linux using Ubuntu and build a Windows binary that way.

Glad I got my funds out and onto my wallets. The prices on there was bound to start something bad happening, if its not Ddos it will be something else.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Building Bitcoin-QT With Source Using Windows 7 on: March 04, 2013, 11:14:45 PM
Hi there,

I know that you are all busy and might get this asked a lot but I am trying to but build the Bitcoin-qt under Windows 7.

I have installed QT Creator 5.0.1 and have the Bitcoin master source file.

I have loaded in the .pro file but the build gives errors.

I am just wondering what the next steps are to build the Bitcoin-qt?

I get errors like libleveldb.a cannot be located and such.

I am guessing that I am missing some dependencies or have items in the wrong directories possibly?

I you could just guide me through the next steps so I can successfully build a working Bitcoin-qt client then

I can move on from there and help the community so much more.

I really hope that anyone can help.

Many thanks

Selling 40k BQC - 1 btc (as its hashrate and diff increases)
Anyone interested pm me

ps. For those saying "its a fun coin not meant to be traded", an exchange (c4n10's one) is opening for all the alt coins as far as i know, and it includes bqc too

I believe your post should be in the trading section?

Nope its in correct section, its an alt.

Oh yeah I see what you mean but don't you think it should go here "Bitcoin Forum > Economy > Marketplace > Currency exchange" as you are doing a trade involving Bitcoin?

Nice, some sort of changelog and version numbering would be nice on that download page. Brings that little extra professional look on things. Good work with the website anyways!
[/quote]

I will sort that out on the site, I am only just getting into the development side of things so I am learning as I go, the only change is that I have changed the client logo to one that Figroll designed for me as I thought it looked really strange having the Litecoin logo with it.

The client itself has not been changed, as in the inner workings, I just worked on the aesthetics of the logo.

Should I just add this as text under the download link?

I am going to change the download location too, to my own site, as I really don't like the free file hosting sites at all.

New BBQcoin Windows client update released at http://bbqcoin.org

The update adds a proper icon to the client, removing the original Litecoin one.

Thanks goes to Figroll for the design.

1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Want to buy BBQcoins with 10 Litecoins on: March 03, 2013, 09:29:56 PM
I am willing to send 10 Litecoins to the highest offer of BBQcoins from users on here.

I would like the BBQcoin's to be sent first and then when confirmed, I will send the 10 Litecoins.

Many thanks

Hi everyone,

I have the source files for Bitcoin and I would like to build my own Bitcoin-qt.

I have tried to do this many times but I have failed.

Can anyone give me a basic guide of what to do and how to get it to build?

Thanks

That's great, thanks for doing that. The more exposer the better really.

The difficulty is already upto 0.035 whereas a few weeks ago it was 0.0001.

That's good news, the less that BBQcoin is worth, monetary wise, then the more fun it is in my eyes.

It would be great if this coin could just be worth something to the people that use it but not against an actual currency but against itself.

Just a joke thing, as BBQcoin is about fun, who wants to be the first to have the BBQcoin crown? lol

It is such a fast chain and runs so smooth. I am still looking into getting rid of all the Litecoin branding though lol.

Its taking my time but it is worth it as I like BBQcoin.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: March 03, 2013, 08:49:19 AM
I will send some BQC your way as a transaction test too right now. Sent 1000 BQC as a test.

I there, thanks to myself and Figroll we have some cosmetic changes for the BBQcoin that will help to move it away from a Litecoin branding. Can anyone give us a very basic guide on how to do this?

I have already added the custom splash screen and the client Icon to the source but I nee help with the re building of the BBqcoin-qt client.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks
