781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BQC] BBQCoin Foundation - a collaborative e-democracy on: June 02, 2013, 11:01:16 AM
The offical website has had an update and gone back to its roots with a more serious style more in line with Bitcoin.org, which we all know works fine.

This is a serious coin now and demands a website with a serious look, bbqcoin.org now has it.

Every change the website has had, loads of people have not been happy with it, so we keep changing it.

I am working on a final change that will be more in line with Bitcoin.org.

And then there will be no more changes as we want to spend 100% of our time working on the client.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BQC] BBQCoin Foundation - a collaborative e-democracy on: May 31, 2013, 11:47:01 AM
Due to the fact that you have created your own forum so I guess you dont think ours is good enough. Also you were posting in there acting like you were a developer and has been around for ages.

Your account on here is only a few months old. I just posted, listen and learned for my first year without trying to change things around trying to create a corporation style board of executives.

I wish you all the best but I am having nothing to do with your project as I feel it would centalise the currency even thurther.

I will just stick to running bbqcoin.org and the next client update.
785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BQC] BBQCoin Foundation - a collaborative e-democracy on: May 30, 2013, 09:27:32 PM
Count me in as miner/volunteer

I hope the future board decides to buy and hold at least a few million of the current BQC coins that are on sale.
That should push the price up. I am also willing to spend some BTC on this.

I have already bought half a million of them the last month on my own, IamRickRock got himself loads too, as have countless other miners out there. A few million is not really a lot for a "Board".
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][BQC] BBQCoin Foundation - a collaborative e-democracy on: May 30, 2013, 07:43:07 PM
Just a quick question.

How is having a "five member executive board" helping to decentralise the currency?

This sounds more like a corporation.

You do know that bbqcoin.org is just an information and support site, not a website to control the currency, even our development team do not "control" the currency, that's why we have the source code link.

More updates to the website to be released this week including a BBQcoin introduction and guide video. Our Facebook page shows updates the second they happen.

Its not run my me, even though I am happy BBQcoin is on there but the readme sections do explain quiet a bit and might help to guide to in a profitable direction.

Even I have learned a few things from that site. Can't access the VIP section though  Cry

And another thing, we must be liked, as BBQcoin and only a handful of other Altcoins got picked on http://altcoinprofit.org as the most potential for the future.

I agree with CaptChadd that there should only be 1 download source and that should be BBQcoin.org. Would the owners of BBQcoin.com please update their links to point to the BBQcoin.org website? This will fix some of the issues CaptChadd and the development team have with the .com website. Personally I think it's great that more people are getting involved and making websites but we need to have the main stuff at one location.

100% agree and this is the only way BBQcoin is going to work if we need to move forward and develop the currency further.

Hi all,

I do not claim ownership of this forum, I have just been given the permission to post the link here, the owner is some called "Peter" and stated to me that he has made enough BTC to want to help the vast amount of new users flooding into the Altcoin market.

The forum is for Altcoin profit generating advice only and from what I have been told the rules are very specific and the pinned topic on there explains all.

After posting this I am going to join the forum, to see if it is any use.

I have also just invested £1000 in an hardware and software advertisement campaign for BBQcoin to bridge the gap between high end gamers and mining BBQcoins.

I have always been a high end gamer and have always been involved in their communities.

My main aim is to help these two communities cross.

Also the client source code on BBQcoin.com is the wrong one. Why is the website giving out all the wrong information and downloads?

BBQcoin.org should be handling the client download and even more so the source code which we have access and work on daily.

We don't need two sites offering download links.

BBQcoin.com - The out of date client and wrong source code.

BBQcoin.org - Fully upto date, as we develop them.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin.org Official Thread on: May 24, 2013, 10:36:06 AM
Ok that is totally fine and I am impressed that the restaurant owners who has said he is not affiliated with BBQcoin.com is allowing payments by BQC. It works by taking your laptop down to them and then transfer your BBQcoins too them.

This should just have been explained by BBQcoin.com more clearly as to not confuse new users.

The official BBQcoin.org website works on and develops client updates and is working on adding stable nodes but the website as it is right now is designed to be simple and easy to use just like Bitcoin.org.

We also offer mining and client support in an technical sense too, the same as we do on our IRC channel.

BBQcoin.com is a service offering and information site, however I don't even think they offer the most upto date client download.

BBQcoin.org is the development website and team.

Why BBQcoin.com even has to have a client download link I don't know. It's even a self extracted installer which I know a lot of users don't like.

The client for safety reasons should only be downloaded from BBQcoin.org
798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin.org Official Thread on: May 24, 2013, 12:53:54 AM
But how? The price of BBQcoin changes every few minutes. BTC uses Bitpay but even that is not active on the site. Also both the restaurants are connected. One selling ice cream.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BBQcoin.org Official Thread on: May 24, 2013, 12:28:07 AM
Prove it.

I want to make a purchase using BBQcoin please.

Can you give me a simple guide how this can be done on both of this restaurants websites?

BBQcoin.org deals with the client, in essence the coin, your website deals in services, there is a big difference and people are getting them mixed up.

Do we work together or against each other?

I won't argue with someone who defames. BBQcoin.com promotes BQC and doesn't compete with you...

All I am asking is that you show us how to buy things with BBQcoin on your website with them restaurants.

Just wondering how it is it done?

I am sure a lot of other users would like to know too.

Thanks

Maybe you should have asked him to clarify before blaming him a scammer ? Wink

By the way :

At the Moment theres a single guy mining at my BBQ-Pool with 0.43 KHashs.

Give him some help and throw some KHashs on the Pool... Its very fast and reliable as you can see in my reputation thread (signature)

crypto-coins.de:8900

Its P2Pool, so use your Wallet Adress as your Username and a random Password...

I said could be a scam site, only because as they have lied on their website. Scam means a promise under false pretences.

You cannot use BBQcoin to buy anything from those website restaurants as per the screen shot.
