1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 07, 2017, 08:47:16 AM
bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable.

currency should be more stable.

you may reply me. currency is not stable also but you should think

USD currency price is up and down 1-2% in 1 month.

bitcoin price is up and down 20% in 1 month.

what will people think if they just change USD to bitcoin then their money down 10% in 10 minutes?

bitcoin can become stock but cannot become currency
Bitcoin wasn't either invented to replace country's currency because that would need government involvement. If that happens government will definitely try to control it. This is not what bitcoin is. Bitcoin will keep on coexisting with fiat, it is not here to replace it.
1122  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 07, 2017, 08:38:20 AM
Hi.
I've got a hundred USD which I wanna invest in some altcoin. I know this amount is nothing, but since I'm a complete noob at cryptocurrensies, I decided to begin with the small amount. So, I want to try out how everything works, at the same time I want to keep my investment safe and sound. That's why  I'm looking for some underappreciated altcoin with the bright future which will graciously accept my modest investment and bring me it back with some profit Wink
Have you heard anything about this kind of coin?
See the problem is nobody is 100% sure with their investment. Whatever altcoin suggestions you will get here will never 100% guarantee profit. Even if you go by one suggestion and make a considerable profit. Still you yourself learned nothing about trading. Next time you will again need someone to assist you. Trading doesn't work this way. You need to learn it yourself either by hit or trial or by someone who is good at trading.
1123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: July 07, 2017, 08:28:29 AM
I plan to sell if either there is a big tragedy in cryptocurrency world or when I need my money. Maybe next year or so I will start a business, then I might require it. I am holding my bitcoin from last two year and have a considerable return over my investment. Occasionally I do altcoin trading and have made a decent profit through that too.
1124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: July 07, 2017, 08:24:16 AM
Everyone makes loss while trading. It isn't a big deal. I agree your one was a big percentage. Usually people make huge loss because of impulse trading. First thing you should do is give yourself a break, try to know whether you want to start afresh, if yes then try to learn about trading. Read experience of people. You will get many. Don't try to copy them, just learn what mistake they made. You can read Trading Chaos by Bill Williams. You can watch Coinigy shows on YouTube. Search more about trading and techniques if you want to go back to trading.  Smiley
1125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: July 06, 2017, 12:27:11 PM
There is no risk in bitcoin investment. It is a profitable source for investment because now a days the price of bitcoin is increasing rapidly. Invest today and profit tomorrow :-)

How about when the coin has split? We don't know what's going to happen on August 1. We don't know how will SegWit activation affect us. The days when you can simply hold your bitcoins and earn profit after a couple of months is already over. The scaling issue is being solved and it can greatly affect the price.

Bitcoin investment is risky right now because of the new update. I want to advise that you use an altcoin to avoid the price decrease of bitcoin. When the price of bitcoin has decreased a lot after August 1, bitcoin holders will be devastated but the price of altcoins will increase. Otherwise, if altcoins' price decreased instead, then it's okay. That's the small price to pay for trying to be safe from the incoming wave.
Segwit will likely be the single largest network event Bitcoin has experienced to date. I agree to you that there is lot of uncertainty in the market regarding bitcoin after Segwit. There is quite a risk at present. But I still feel after a dip in price for short term, bitcoin will bounce back.

All we can do at present is speculate and wait for August.

1127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Japan ends 8% consumption tax on bitcoin Today on: July 06, 2017, 05:28:24 AM
Good BOOST for monday.

The boost won't be that big. Japan still isn't the leader in trading. Also, somebody should investigate how their Bitcoin businesses are really doing.
I suspect there could be big interest in the currency but only out of curiosity and very little real use.
Even if that was the case and most business owners began accepting bitcoin as a novelty, that is the way many things begin, at first people did not know what use they will give to computers, but still many bought them, and then a market for new software and computer related products began to appear, so I think it is good news even if there is not a lot of transactions taking place at the moment.

Every breaking point in human history began with one small step. This is also the case we have to start somewhere and Japan made his move. Good is that they started more and more to accept this and more are using this to. Think that we will see major improvement in next month thin that this is still testing for bitcoin acceptance in Japan.
Correct, I would like to use my bitcoin everywhere and that everyone accept it bitcoin as payment, but in order to get to that utopia we need to begin small, some business owners will have to begin to accept bitcoin even if no one is buying with it, we as consumers need to get used to the idea that we will not be able to use it everywhere any time soon, but after some time we will get to the point that bitcoin will raise in the awareness of the people and begin to be accepted in more places.
I agree to the point that everything has to start from somewhere. Bitcoin community isn't that big in comparison to the world population as for now maybe just 0.1% of world population (approx 7 million) or less. Japan has a population of more than 125 million. As bitcoin is becoming mainstream there, users are likely to double even if 5% people from Japan get into it. This is indeed a good sign.
1128  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: July 06, 2017, 04:17:32 AM
It is never too late to buy bitcoin. In a year after your investment there will be a considerable profit. One more thing that I want to bring in focus is that as August is nearing, many people who are afraid of the segwit are selling their bitcoin and hence price may drop near August and this is the reason no major buy is happening and hence price is not much increasing. It is sure that after a small dip, price will definitely increase and get back to its original speed or rather better because of low fees many people will get back to bitcoin.
1129  Economy / Speculation / Re: price after segwit? on: July 06, 2017, 02:34:47 AM
What I believe is there will be a fall in price just after Segwit if happens but that would be for short term. After that bitcoin will grow like before or better because any of the blocksize solutions would allow bitcoin to continue growing. Growth is required for stability. A stable currency is a good store of value.
1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: July 06, 2017, 02:19:30 AM
The main strategy in investment is HOLD until you don't require your money and you have trust on your asset as in this case is bitcoin. Bitcoin is always growing regardless of short term pumps and dumps. I myself have been holding my bitcoin from 2 years and made an incredible profit out of it. When you are investing in something have patience and if you see a profitable future, invest more if possible. Bitcoin has potential that I can assure.
1131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where should i invest 45 BTC risk free on: July 06, 2017, 12:06:24 AM
If you want to have a low risk investment then nothing is better than Bitcoin at present. Keep your bitcoin as it is in your paper wallet if you don't require it. No other cryptocurrency is safer than bitcoin in terms of risk. Avoid these short term volatility. In long term, Bitcoin has always proven to be profitable.

But if you want to go out of cryptocurrencies and want to invest in some low or zero risk investment. Then here are the options.
Saving accounts
Corporate bonds
Dividend paying stocks
Treasury bills, Treasury notes, Treasury bonds and Treasury inflation-protected securities, or TIPS
Market money funds
But I should tell you that they don't generate much returns.

I would suggest you to keep your money in bitcoin and enjoy the huge returns that bitcoin has to offer or diversify your portfolio with some high or medium risk assets. They can generate you good income if done properly. I never suggest anyone to go for assets which give low returns.
1132  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 06, 2017, 12:05:22 AM
I think bitcoin is here to stay. Bitcoin is now being increasingly favoured as an investment being it long or short term. Bitcoin is steadily outpacing generally accepted investment assets like gold and real estate in terms of value. Bitcoin is now being recognized by not only occasional individual merchants, but some industry giants like Microsoft and Tesla. With limited supply and ever increasing user base. Bitcoin will strengthen. With that in mind I would suggest that Bitcoin doesn’t tend to disappear overnight with no trace left. There is tough competition to bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies. But I believe bitcoin will profitably coexist with them.
1133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 05, 2017, 08:47:20 AM
I am holding my bitcoin from last two years and will hold for more. I am thinking of starting an online website next year. I would be needing some initial investment and these bitcoins will certainly help me in that. I hope to make it big.  Wink

So you are already sitting on top of more than 1,000% profit (the exchange rates have increase by 10x during 2015-17)? And I would like to wish all the best for your new venture. Just keep the coins safe and prevent any attempts by the hackers to steal your coins.
Yeah I have made an incredible profit on my initial investment nearly 9X. Thanks for the wishes.

Wow 2 years? I can not be patient like you, I'm not a patient person who can withstand bitcoin for a long time. When the price goes up I immediately sell it because I do not want to waste a chance A good idea by creating a site You can benefit from advertising on your site
I am of the habit that unless it is absolutely required, I don't withdraw money from my investment. I invest in many commodities along with bitcoin. The key to make profit in investment is patience and I am working on my idea of site. Hope to get it online by next year.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 05, 2017, 08:13:33 AM
It is never like convert all your wealth in one asset. That would be stupidity. In terms of proper portfolio construction, you should diversify. You should have different types of assets that don’t necessarily move together. Bitcoin and gold have their own benefits. According to me person should hold both.

Gold slowly appreciates, has elemental value and is here from quite a long time as a store of value. Thus making it more reliable. Bitcoin is new, appreciates faster, inflation free and little bit riskier than gold (but still in long term bitcoin has proven to be 100% profitable. But future is uncertain.). Hence, investors who want fast profit go for bitcoin. What I think is person should hold both. Diversified portfolio is best

1136  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How difficult is it to pick up Blockchain Coding? on: July 05, 2017, 02:43:36 AM
Hi, i have researched about blockchain for almost a year now from a concept and ideology standpoint. Would you say my knowledge is still considered invalid without the knowing the coding aspect of it?
Unless you want to build your own blockchain there is no need to learn coding. If you just want to have a knowledge, concepts are enough.

What kind of coding skills is needed to transit into blockchain? Also how hard is it for a software developer to transit into blockchain?

Any good place i'd be able to find some talents in this field? Seems all these well known startups and consortiums have gotten them all :/
If you are interested in getting into coding too. You should first learn the technical aspects of blockchain. As you are already a software developer you must be knowing programming languages. Read Mastering Bitcoin book. Then you can follow the steps listed here.

1137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: July 05, 2017, 02:37:04 AM
Definitely not now. I have been holding my bitcoin from last two years and it has became 8X. I am quite optimistic about its future as well and I will keep on holding until I need my money. What I believe is money is better be growing then depreciating due to inflation.
1138  Economy / Economics / Re: China Moves Closer to Issuing Blockchain-based Currency on: July 05, 2017, 02:32:46 AM
Chinese Central Bank gave many reason for developing their own cryptocurrency like lower operating costs, greater efficiency, and better control of illicit money flows. But what I believe is that they are bringing their own cryptocurrency because of the increasing popularity of bitcoin. It is like if you can't beat them, join them.
1139  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Will quantum computing kill crypto? on: July 05, 2017, 01:27:32 AM
Bitcoin will remain safe regardless of how powerful quantum computers are. Bitcoin’s encryption protocol will likely remain safe. Bitcoin’s underlying encryption protocol, SHA-256, is stubbornly resistant to nefarious attempts to undermine it. It is likely strong enough to withstand assaults from even the most savage quantum computer onslaught.
Moreover, Quantum computers are not much capable of solving cryptography. They are not that powerful of solving difficult problems. Hence, Bitcoin is safe.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: July 05, 2017, 01:16:42 AM
Bitcoin will grow as billions of people still are not aware about bitcoin. I believe if those people get to know they would invest in bitcoin. There is a market, all what is needed is spreading awareness. In future when more people get into bitcoin, that will increase the price. Hence, investing today is gonna be real a deal in future. All what is needed is patience and keep holding.
