221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Right now should I wait to buy ? on: May 23, 2018, 05:34:35 AM
Absolutely right analysis. You did the right thing by actually waiting to buy. The price today is only 7800$ on Binance and entire market is red again. Even tokens like IOST which were growing in multipliers are down too.
I am going to follow the analysis from that website now. Seems really legit and can help me make an informed choice instead of just blindly putting money into any coin.
But given the current state of market and the current price, I think you should buy BTC. It hadn't touched 7800$ in quite some time and this has finally happened. I am sure a lot of people will begin with this now.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or ETH for long term on: May 22, 2018, 09:16:43 AM
Hey all.

I am confused about these two (BTC and ETH), which one is best to invest/hold for long term ?? How much time I should hold from these two?? Price is going up now a days, what is the best time to buy ? I should wait for buy right now ?
Out of these two, ETH is a better prospect for long term growth. The primary reason is that this coin still has so much potential and has seen peak which is two times its current price.
I have personally invested a lot in it and will only sell when its price touches 1500$.
So you should proceed with ETH only and not BTC if you're looking at long term.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does it look like cryptos will skyrocket again very soon ? on: May 22, 2018, 05:43:14 AM
They did kind of skyrocket during the beginning of the year but that phase has stalled for now. Now, we are looking at a much more stable marker with bitcoin price hovering around 8100-8500 dollars. The only positive takeaway from this is that Alts will keep increasing as long as bitcoin is maintaining its stable value, but the member bitcoin shows a huge loss or gain, alts will suffer. So we all should pray that the market stays this way. Slow and steady increase is the best one can hope for.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do you believe in luck? on: May 22, 2018, 05:21:46 AM
I do believe in Luck because only a lucky person makes good profit in this market. With over 1400 coins listed, the only way to make good money is to get lucky. Consider the early adopters who received bitcoin only by filling a survey form. Thode guys have become millionaires today. So as you can see luck is a major factor here. Even more when you gamble using cryptos.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum reached $800 mark on: May 22, 2018, 04:59:46 AM
I feel the price around 800-1000$ is what ETH is gonna maintain in the long run. It started from 5$ and has now established itself as the second largest crypto currency. It would never overtake bitcoin but can very well serve alongside it as the second most popular currency. It did take hit for a very long but I'm glad to see that it has finally recovered and maintaining its stable price.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO and BOunty will End? on: May 21, 2018, 08:07:49 AM
These questions are always in my mind, what will happen if people will run out of ideas for creating a project for ICO? we all know that ICO will only be a success with a good Idea a good platform, even if you have a team and time to do a project for ICO without an idea it is useless because people will not buy your token, tell me guys your opinion about these, maybe someday people will run out of Ideas, Bounty hunters are also affected if these will happen.
If people kept running out of ideas, then we probably wouldn't have seen so many start ups in recent times. With the use of ICOs, it becomes easier for those brilliant ideas to get funding. Up until now it was hard for a new company to generate funds, but now, with the introduction of ICOs, that barrier has been removed. Now we see a lot of people entering this field and starting their ICOs. Investors too are backing them since cryptos are hot right now and everyone wants to get associated with it in some way or the other.
You have nothing to worry about, as long as this market is there, the ICOs will keep coming. The only thing that bothers me are the scam ICOs.
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do people use bad exchanges like YoBIt? on: May 21, 2018, 07:59:39 AM
What's the reason for using a low-quality exchange like yobit? There are so many other exchanges that allow for no verification (like binance) that I don't think there's a real straightforward reason to use yobit. I don't see them even having any good qualities.

Could someone explain?
YoBit isn't particularly classified as a bad exchange. I don't know what makes you think that it is bad. Is it the UI? Is it the slow transfer time? YoBit experiences such high volumes so obviously there is something good about it and hence a lot of people stick to it. A lot of people find UI of trading websites confusing and usually prefer to stick to one.

Not every coin is listed on every exchange out there. For instance, if someone wants to trade Byteball, that person wouldn't be able to trade it through Binance, and Bittrex is the only reputed exchange where it is listed.
Hence, people would move to Bittrex. In the same way, there are so many coins which are only listed on YoBit and not elsewhere, and hence people have no choice but to use YoBit.
228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you follow trading advice from crypto influencers? on: May 21, 2018, 07:53:04 AM
I think that the cryptocurrency market us unique, because many investors don't understand blockchain technology.  So they rely upon experts on YouTube, Twitter, and Telegram for information, analysis, and advice.  As a result, we have the phenomenon of crypto influencers.  Some are reputable, like Carter Thomas of Coin Mastery, but others are not.  What's your opinion on Crypto influencers?  Are they good for this market and the cryptocurrency movement?  Do you take advice from them?  And who's good to follow?
When I had just joined this world, I used to look up to the influencers across social media - Twitter, Facebook, Telegram. I had also subscribed to tens of crypto blogs and people like Ian which were known to give good signals and trading advice.
Once I matured a bit in this market, I slowly stopped referring to them since majority of things are controlled by whales and these influences do not stand a chance there.
My suggestion to every newcomer out there would be to follow these channels initially when they are in the learning phase and once they understand the market well, they should move away from these sources to their own intuition.
229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which coin safe for trading? on: May 15, 2018, 06:05:55 PM
You can buy iost token from that price. If you notice the trends, its price varies by almost 100 Satoshis on any given day. So, if you're able to take advantage of any dip, you'd make enough money for the day, and if you are fortunate enough to make use of such dips on daily basis, then you will earn thousands of dollars every month.
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason people do not want to invest in crypto on: May 15, 2018, 06:03:52 PM
You forgot to mention the most important point - People's Apprehensions with the cryptocurrencies.
So many ICOs run away with people's money and it has created a huge fear in the minds of people.
It is very hard to trust something like that and putting your hard earned money in it is even tougher.
That's the biggest hindrance in the path of Cryptos.
231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: May 15, 2018, 05:46:04 PM
There are different perspectives to look at it. For starters, it provides stability which other coins fail to provide.
Consider this scenario, you are a first time investor and you've heard N number of rumours about the market being volatile and people losing money. In this circumstance, wouldn't you want to start with the safest investment option? BTC provides that stability factors to end the apprehensions of those people.
It isn't that BTC never rises. There have been times when it has risen above 15-20% in a single day. So, you can't really call those people foolish.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can government destroy Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2018, 05:46:22 PM
No governement or authority has enough resources or time to completely ban a decentralised for of currency that too on an internet from existing unless there is a break down of the internet itself. They can only regulate it until people are converting these crypto in fiat. Else crypto currencies are quite untraceable and can't be easily analyzed for taxing on gains. The ultimate motive of crypto is to give the decentralized form of financial landscape free from any type of regulation or manipulation. This can only be achieved if the utility of bitcoin increases and people start trusting it as a monetary system more.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will reach $15,000 this year Says Reddit Co-Founder on: May 04, 2018, 05:39:15 PM
$15k is a ridiculous price prediction!

With an uncapped supply, $15k is never reachable. Maybe that Reddit co-founder has majority of his investment in ETH. Where Bitcoin itself is struggling to reach $15k, ETH is far from that threshold. $1500 would have been a more reliable prediction. Maybe he mistakenly put another 0.  Roll Eyes

With latest updates announced by Vitalik Butarin, ETH has potential to cross $1k threshold in short term and maybe can cross $2k in long term or by the end of the year which is usually a bullish period.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC vs Ethereum (May 7) on: May 04, 2018, 05:32:57 PM
The Ethereum foundation has clearly stated that they have had discussions with many lawyers and came to the conclusion that Ethereum can't be considered a security. It never was one. They have mentioned that ETH is like an incentive to the miners and not any security and hence they didn't do anything illegal by conducting the first ever ICO.
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin by Christmas 2018? (POLL) on: May 04, 2018, 05:26:03 PM
I would say $25k.

2018 will definitely end on an upper note than 2017. Bitcoin will easily breach the last year's ATH of $20k. Many of the senior analysts are predicting $25k+ as a projected price for this year. With $25k we are talking about the mcap of half a trillion. With keeping BTC dominance at 40%. The total mcap of the crypto market will cross a trillion trademark. With Goldman Sachs and Nasdaq getting interested in crypto trading desk which will eventually help in bringing new investors and bring the mcap above a trillion.
236  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 10k $ on: May 04, 2018, 12:57:30 PM
$10k is more of a psychological resistance. The next major resistance is at $11500 which looks hard to break. But before that TA looks bearish after $9800 and margin traders are expected to play shorts around that level. If that happens, Bitcoin is likely to check $9k levels again.

I would say resistance is there which might cause a pullback before bitcoin actually crosses the $10k. But May seems bullish and hence, the price can easily cross $10k this month definitely.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: May 04, 2018, 12:47:28 PM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which helps quick and easy to build an online store and sell for the cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?
First of all small businesses are slowest to upgrade unless they are really interested in something. Because of Bitcoin's deflationary model, people tend to hoard it instead of using it for buying goods or services on daily basis. Fiat which is inflationary is still a best option for customers to make daily purchases. This slows down the adoption of Bitcoin.

Moreover, with less than 2% of population using Bitcoin, there isn't a great incentive for businesses to accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment. To increase interest of small businesses in Bitcoin, we need more adoption.
238  Economy / Economics / Re: New investor and prices on: May 04, 2018, 12:43:09 PM
If we have less new investors, so the prices tend to fluctuate less? How much dependent of new investors the prices are ?
New investors bring in more demand and demand increase the price.

With new investors, on one hand, we get more demand that helps in appreciating the price and on the other hand, the circulation diversifies. Volatility isn't much dependent upon the new investors but more on the distribution pattern. With 4% controlling the maximum supply of Bitcoin, more the investors (big or small) enter the market, this centralization of circulation in few hands will decrease. This will prevent the manipulation which in turn will help in decreasing the unnecessary volatility.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash a sleeping Giant on: May 03, 2018, 06:49:21 PM
DASH didn't show any huge gains in this alt season. Usually in euphoria stage, large-cap coins always lead the bullish rally. DASH has been quiet for a while now and being one of the high volume privacy altcoins, an uptrend is more than expected.

Regarding people questioning the logic behind this speculation, in the bull cycle, people FOMO. You don't need a news to back a coin for an uptrend. Liquidity increases and so does the diversification. How many altcoins that boomed recently had any solid news to back the pump? Hardly any. In the bull ride, almost all the coins from large cap to shit token rises.

DASH which didn't move a lot in this alt season is indeed the best bet right now.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade wisely on: May 03, 2018, 06:39:35 PM
You need to understand many things before starting crypto trading

  • Crypto market is high on volatility and low on liquidity and volume, such markets are always hard to trade.
  • This market runs in a cycle. Bear and bull phase are the part of the cycle. You need to analyze them and make your entry and exit point carefully.
  • Crypto market involves heavy involvement of trading bots which run over certain algos and can turn the trade anytime. The bulk holders control market movements with bots as they have a record of various stop-loss and sell/buy orders

You aren't getting in the mature and healthy market but a decentralised and unregulated market. So, start with something you can afford to lose to know how this market works. Try to trade upon news instead of following trading gurus.
