another Warning for KNC friends.... After 18 hours of testing cloudmining in cex.io with hosted gh/s... the btc balance is dropping still. A rip-job IMHO.

What do you mean?
What happened?
1022  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 16, 2014, 04:37:54 PM
If you don't know how to set it up you can ask someone to set it up for you via TeamViewer.
Sushi is providing that kind of service.
1023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 16, 2014, 04:34:46 PM
They are hard to setup if you have routers and extenders all over the place.
I don't know your setup.
I used a Sitecom wlx-2001 Wifi range Extender to set them up, it didn't work well, it keep disconnected every 10 minutes.
I now switch Jupiters to the Wifi Extender and the Antminers directly to the router via cable, ploblem solved.

Try direct connect them to the router with cables.
They all come with a fixed ip that is labelled above the intake fan (you can change that), if you direct connect them to the router, the router have no problem assigning them with the right IP.
1024  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 16, 2014, 02:18:54 AM
Thanks for putting a lower price on the product.
The import tax was the lowest I have ever paid.
Compared with BFL products I have paid 12.6 times less import tax.
1025  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra Engineering Update: TerraMiner IV Hashing Live on: January 15, 2014, 11:05:24 AM
Personally I hoped they fail, because I don't like their faces.
But from what I have seen so far, this is the most experience team.
The PCB are well thought unlike BFL gear and the PSU cables are thick enough to provide stable current.
This is the end of the line as far as the amount of GH/s thats fits on this die size at 28 nm.
Ofcourse you can make the die size bigger.
As a critic I have to admit no one could have done it faster and better than CoinTerra with these specs.
Everything was planned from the beginning, there was no room for mistake.
No fairytales like BFL and HashLast keeping the money flow in.
KnC took a different approach, they keep it simple to market it fast and improve their design after the first wave of their miners.
I have no doubt that KnC will not beat or at least come to the same level as CoinTerra with their Neptunes.

But I however see some points that could lead to failure when running the miners 24/7 and I still hope this will be the case, but probably they will
solve that by the time they mass production the TerraMiners.

I can order for you if you want.

I order a lot Cooler Master V850 before my Jupiters arrived.
Turns out the november Jupiters draw more power.
I am now using 3 to power each pair of Jupiters.

Now I am slowly change them to this one.

A bit more expensive than the EVGA

You notice the marketbot at CEX pumping up the prize and forcing people new to BTC buy high and sell low?
Their business plan is perfect.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 13, 2014, 02:25:02 AM
From their own press release

The hashing power of GHash.IO consists of:
• ~45% BitFury ASIC based miners
• ~55% independent miners

Their hashrate at the moment is 4.8-4.9
In this calculation I am using 4.8 PH
45% of 4.8=2.16 PH controlled by CEX alone.
When they started their mine was not that big.

http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-01-09/bitcoin-mining-chips-gear-computing-groups-competition-heats-up#p3
Originally this was planned to be a 100 TH mine, it turns out to be a 500 TH mine with only Bitfury gear.

from the 55% independent miners at CEX there must be also a large numbers of Bitfury gear sold by Megabigpower and Bitfurystrikesback.

I guessing most of the hashrate add to the network lately is Bitfury gear.
Megabigpower doesn't have items in stock untill a few days ago and from that time the hashrate explode.
I think Bitfury has a succesfull new batch at this moment.

Bitmain come into play.
BTmine come into play
If you trace their BTC address, you see they sell a lot, but not enough to be responsible for that much of hashrate. (Don't know how many wire transfers)
I speculate that it is Bitfury that add the most hashrate to the network lately.
I still have to check BTCGarden and Asicminer.
BFL is out of question.

1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 13, 2014, 01:11:31 AM
Each batch is limited at 1200 Neptunes.
So there will be a total of 3600 Neptunes.

It looks like Bitfury is building mega mines at the moment

Thank you Bitcoinorama for the nice interview.
Personnaly I think you guys will be delivering the Neptunes sooner than you stated before to keep the overdelivering and underpromising spirit alive.

Read the README file.
https://github.com/KnCMiner/images/blob/master/kncminer-0.99.2.README

They add some  features.

If you have a November Jupiter and it is running well, I wouldn't touch it.
I know you have October Jupiters, in your case I would wait untill someone who know his stuff better than you test it out and explain how it works.
Safe yourself a lot of trouble, it can go wrong and then you have to know how to fix it.
You don't want to have down time.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 12, 2014, 10:40:07 AM
Github is a place where developers upload their software.
And that address is from the official KnC account at Github.

I hope I explain it easy enough for you to understand.
What language do you originaly speak?

These version of firmware is official
Is beta what exactly is it??

Ofcourse it is official.
If you are not a nerd and your Jupiters is running fine, don't fix if it's not broken. Grin
1037  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: Waar in investeren? on: January 12, 2014, 01:59:37 AM
Bijna alle altcoins zijn gedoemd te mislukken.
Waarom?

http://www.gocoins.com/

1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Only 1 out of two video cards running on rig on: January 11, 2014, 10:02:40 PM
I have never mined Litecoin before, I trade it with BTC.
When I mined BTC with AMD GPU'S, Windows don't see more than 1 GPU, I have to use dummy plugs for a multi GPU setup.
It took AMD more than 1.5 years to release drivers that are capable for Windows to see more than 1 GPU.
If you know how to setup linux they work flawless with multi GPU setups.

You already have installed the latest SDK from AMD?
Read your motherboard manual and go into the BIOS.
I think the problem is there.
I had a similar  problem with an Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
