How to stop Jupiter miner?
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 03, 2013, 07:59:51 AM
It's a Philips Clean Air System 120 I bought almost 20 years ago.
I used it for half a year and then put it away.
The last time I used it was to suck hot air away and blow it outside the window.
It is now sitting in the basement with the noisy BFL singles.
The quality of the Philips ioniser is very good, they don't make this kind of quality anymore.

I receive two of my orders of Jupiter on thursday and friday and more Jupiters are on its way.
They were hashing stable at 685 GH/s and 675 GH/s average.
Because it is hot and the stand of the ventilator is broken I use an ioniser to circulate the hot air to the colder part of the house.
I don't need to turn the heater on and all windows are closed
My hashrate went to 730 GH/s and 725 GH/s, each time the ioniser is turn on for at least 30 minutes.
I don't know if this is due variance of the network or BTCGuild.
The total time I notice this is too short to be sure that the ioniser has a positive effect.
Can anyone with great knowledge of electricity confirm that an air ioniser has positive effect on KnC Jupiters.

Thank you

Jesus man, air ioniser? I think if you stand on one leg and rub your belly for 30 minutes your hashing power will increase by 20. Seriously, try that. You need to be directly in front of the miner though.

I am not religious, but leave Jesus or any God out of it.
Beside Jupiters, I have a lot of BFL singles, half of them never hash faster than 57 GH/s.
I put the ioniser in the basement where all the BFL singles are, they now all happily hash 60+ GH/s, variance or not they won't go below 60 GH/s now.
This has never happen before.
How it works, I don't understand, but I will leave the ioniser there.
Instead of answering a question, you talk bullshit.
I bet you don't know the answer either.

Hi all,
The october batch of Jupiters have problems with some Corsair PSU.
Anyone knows if this is also valid for the november batch?

Thank you.

Other asics company already moved to 20 nm.
By the time you found enough fools to invest, 65 nm is already outdated

I think you are mistaken, no ASIC can be at 28nm, the semiconductor titans like Intel and Samsung are not even there for real production yet.

KnC Neptunes are 20 nm and are made by TSMC.
TSMC is the world most advanced INDEPENDENT semiconductor company and a step behind Intel.
Intel is already making 14 nm, Q1 2014 Intel will start mass production of 14 nm chips.
Samsung already start mass production of 20 nm memory.
Where have you been? Under a rock?

More will be add to your ignore list.

No one will invest in you.
You still don't get it.
You are not a smart guy, even if you are not a scammer (you probably are), any one investing in you have a greater risk of loosing btc than in
the hands of a capable someone.
Even in the hands of someone capable it will still have a chance of failure.
I mined already a few k of coins, you want me to throw some to you?

This project will fail and is a waste of time.
Why?
As you said yourself, you are not a good marketeer.
To succes, you need to be able to communicate and thats a con for you.
You don't have trust at your side and you are late at the game.
All these things and a lot more are not in your odds.

Just my opinion, nothing else

My first Jupiter arrived today.
I am very happy with it
It is very stable at 685 GH/s at BTC Guild, occasionally it will hash at 660 GH/s, but so far I haven't seen below 660 GH/s.
I have to look at the Jupiter from time to time, because it is so quiet, I think it stopped working.
Compared with my heavily modified BFL singles, (they are already almost soundless compared with the original BFL singles) the Jupiter is just a calm humming sound money making machine.

@CYPER
No, the PSU will not have a Mean Time Before Failures of +100000 hours anymore,
but will have a MTBF of less than 1000 hours.
A hard lesson learn from block erupters.
I will stay below 80% of max rating of PSU.

Why would you assume that?
Good quality PSU are designed with components in excess of the advertised wattage.
If you ask Cooler Master or Corsair they will confirm that.

Back in 2011 I have mined with HX850 for 4 months with 850W at the wall and then sold it to a fellow miner, who has been mining with it for a long time.

I burn a PSU with block erupters. The PSU was at the 5V line 30 ampere. Not enough to power 60 block erupter for 2 1/2 month per PSU apparently.
Now I am using 3 PSU to power 120 Block erupters instead of 2 PSU.
I think I will stay at the safe side using 3 V850 to power 2 Jupiter instead of 1 V850 per Jupiter. If I am out of town and the PSU goes down I will loose BTC.
Those PSU cost nothing compared what you will loose with down time.

I am using 2 Coolermaster V850 to power up 1 Jupiter november batch.
All together is pulling 860-865 watt at the wall.
Waiting for the rest of the jupiters.
DON'T BUY LOWER THAN 1000 WATT PSU

Anyone also notice that in the video, Simon Barber walk like he is physically handicapped.
Eduardo looks like he made his fortune as a pimp.

Anyone know if it is possible to use 3 Coolermaster V850 for every 2 Jupiters?
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 09:45:45 AM
I ordered 16 Coolermaster V850 2 weeks ago. They are sitting next to me.
Now I have to use 3 PSU for a pair of Jupiter's?

Still no shipping news yet?
I have a lot coolermasters v850's waiting to power them up.
