1201  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Soon comes the ASIC onslaught, what about the aftermath.. on: October 11, 2012, 03:00:48 PM
I am not a big miner. I can't afford a minirig yet, but if you are right about $500.000.
Then my preorder alone already count for 2.598% of the total sum of $500.000.
Only 40 small to medium miners are needed to pre-order $500.000 worth of equipment.
What if 40 big miners are going to pre-order asics?
Something in your calculation must be wrong.

Only $500,000 pre-orders across 3 major asic companies?
How do you get those numbers?
1203  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: User with over 200k MH/s BTCGUILD on: October 09, 2012, 09:56:24 PM
There are 2 people on this forum that have more than 150k MH/s

Gigavps has 4 BFL minirigs and a giant GPU farm.
Total more than 200k MH/s.
Darkice has 6 BFL minirigs. I don't know how big his GPU farm is.
But he has at least 150k MH/s.

Asic is not out yet

Hi Wim,

Je website ziet er technisch goed uit.
Ik vindt wel dat je er grafisch wat meer aan moet doen.
Nu lijkt het op veel van die andere bitcoin websites.
Probeer de website grafisch een eigen identiteit te geven.

@Cablez
But he is still lucky and successful.  Smiley
1206  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Houden jullie geld over met bitcoins? on: July 22, 2012, 03:23:52 AM

Thanks for the info Gigavps.
You are a lucky guy with such a beautiful woman kissing you.  Cool
By the way. What's her name? Oops way off topic. Grin
1208  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are there BFL mini rigs spotted in the wild already? Pictures please on: July 22, 2012, 01:49:23 AM
Thank you Cablez for showing me this.
Are there anyone else who own a minirig beside Gigavps?
1209  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are there BFL mini rigs spotted in the wild already? Pictures please on: July 21, 2012, 09:58:27 PM
Why there ain't pictures uploaded yet from the BFL minirig?
All the pictures on internet is from Butterfly Labs themself?
1210  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Are there BFL mini rigs spotted in the wild already? Pictures please on: July 21, 2012, 09:14:17 PM
I read the thread with pictures of FPGA rigs https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=70611.0
and the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7216.0

I haven't seen a BFL mini rig yet.
Are they shipped yet?
Not much time to mine with it untill october 2012 if they are shipped now.

Equilux, hoeveel FPGA heb je besteld dat je er 100 euro import kosten over moet betalen?
1212  Local / Meetings (Nederlands) / Re: Meeting amersfoort - 25 juli 2012 - 19:30 on: July 19, 2012, 01:40:18 AM

1213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Going through Hell. Help please! on: July 18, 2012, 11:55:05 PM
A friendly advice.
Read the threads how to secure your wallet.
Learn how to use different passwords and usernames on different sites related to bitcoins and how to remember them.
If you have pay attention in primary school, you should be able to use memory tricks, most people already forgot how to use them.
Learn how to use VMWARE or another virtual machine to keep your computer clean from viruses.
We are talking about serious money.
Some people are trustable, but most of them will scam you or fool you to get some coins.
Read the forum to protect yourself
1214  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Going through Hell. Help please! on: July 18, 2012, 11:39:43 PM
Your block chain is not up to date. You will have to leave your computer running for +- 12 hour till the block chain is up to date.
Then you will see your money in your wallet.
You start with a clean installation of the bitcoin client.
Nothing to worry about.
1215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for investor of 8.5 BTC on: July 18, 2012, 11:31:11 PM
I have read this thread from beginning till the end.
You don't have a real plan, your original message keep changing.
People won't trust you, because you don't know how to execute your ideas and turn it into profits.
If someone is going to invest in you, that person wants guarantee that you are able to pull it off and return some kind of profit.
Most people on this forum took the risk to invest in equipment to mine bitcoins.
The early adopters having a head start, but it is never too late too jump on the wagon.
I myself start to mine in june 2011, not the best time to start.
A lot of people start to mine at that time, some are more successful than others, some people quit because it isn't profitable to mine for everyone.
If you truly believe in bitcoins, you should take the risk to invest in equipment to mine yourself some bitcoins.
It is still profitable to start mining if you have read the forum and able to lower your cost.
Nothing works without a plan.
Asking for money to invest without a good plan simply don't work.
1216  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin price skyrocket? on: July 18, 2012, 10:06:33 PM
I hope the BTC price will go up a little bit more.
I will then sell a small part of my savings to do a small investment in another rig.
I am gambling that the asics from BFL will not ship on time.
I haven't ordered a product from them yet. I will order at the last moment.
Sorry for my English, my native language is Dutch.
1217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you spend your BTC on? on: July 18, 2012, 09:38:23 PM
I buy computer components with it to build another rig.
1218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just got a 7770, how to downclock video memory in windows? on: July 17, 2012, 07:03:55 PM
I only have 6xxx cards, I can't help you with how to downclock your video memory.
But if you manage to find out how to downclock the memory of your 7770, give a try to CGMINER.
I use guiminer before i switch to cgminer with the exact same settings in underclocking memory, overclocking core speeds and undervolting.
Cgminer gives me less stales and more hashspeed than guiminer, but there is a downside.
With guiminer my temps are 3-4 Celsius lower than cgminer.

Thanks for this
1220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: July 15, 2012, 03:14:29 PM
Hi, my name is David and I am from the Netherlands.
The first time I came in contact with Bitcoin was in june 2011.
I used my daughter old HP G72 notebook with broken screen to testdrive on http://www.bitcoinplus.com/ for 3 days.
After reading about Bitcoins,  I realize that mining with a CPU  is impossible.
The next week I start to buy computer components and start to build my first mining rig.
After a month, I start to build 2 extra mining rigs.
From time to time I return to this site to see what people are talking about.
I always read, never took part of a discussion.
With ASICS coming into play, I decide to register at this site.
Bitcoin has come to an important junction now.
It has become more mature and stable now to ignore active discussion.
I hope to learn from you guys and hope to help other people 2.
