121  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [In Stock] Batch 8! Gridseed miners in Stock in Los Angeles. [$225] on: March 24, 2014, 01:50:11 AM
Did you order the pack of 10? Or individuals?

10 Pack 3,000 ~ 4000Khs Gridseed Set. All accessories included. (ordered 14 Mar)

*ZH_Mike did state (after the fact) they were sending me additional USB cables and barrel connectors (which I really don't need) AND a PI and Hub.. but my biggest beef is I thought I was getting already wired up power adapters that I could plug and play...  my order arrived Wednesday (which was fast) but hasn't come out of the box due to the lack of ALL accessories...

We are sending you the pi regardless overnight. Here was the original chain:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=474017.msg5833339#msg5833339

Give us your BTC address and we will send you the btc for lost days mining.

Regarding our price changes and promotions, we price things based on:

1. How much we have in stock.
2. Mining difficulty.
3. BTC price.

We wish we can have a more stable price. Tell that to the price of bitcoin Tongue.

Starting to sway me back into the impressed column with the speedy and positive customer service..   Cool

BTC Sent. Thanks again.

Confirmed, impressed and thanks for the speedy resolution.
122  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bestasic[GRIDSEED] $163/unit Shipping from China to worldwide(BTC,LTC,DOGE) on: March 23, 2014, 11:57:46 PM
So $163 shipped or $163 plus shipping?
No:)

The answer to an OR question is No?

WTF.

Option A: $163 Shipped

Option B: $163 Plus Shipping

Please Type A or B.  Do Not type yes or no as it is not a yes or no question.

Given this, I would steer clear of this one..

Use promo code: mycode10 to get a further 10% discount

Well, that promo code isn't 10% anymore. It's something like 6% off now. It's REALLY annoying that they keep changing how much the coupon codes are worth and their prices for the gridseeds. Seriously, just make the coupon code invalid and create a new one and keep the gridseed prices the same or only lower them. Lowering only to raise the price the next day is ridiculous.

Yeah, not really impressed with how Zoomhash is conducting business lately... They had and still have me confused about my order since they kept changing shit after the fact.  (ie. All accessories means just USB cables and just barrel connectors, and no way to go back and verify since things are vague on confirmation emails and order pages, with broken links to the package I ordered...) I expected power adapters ready to plug and play when I got the miners Weds, nope - still sitting in their boxes.  Very amateur.

ZH -

Somewhat disappointed that I still have yet to receive my "accessories" from #1696 - Mar 13, 2014

Received the miners on Wednesday (also got the email early Weds stating accessories were coming in another box)..

I really was expected yesterday or today for this "accessories box" to be at my door...

Please advise - email being sent to support as well...

Thanks

Hi the ten pack you ordered came with only USB cords and DC connectors. Please double check if you didnt receive those. Also, we are overnighting you the dc connectors and usb cords anyways. Thanks.

Please confirm.

thanks so much and sorry for the confusion.

ZH_Mike -

Appreciate the quick reply..

I revisited my order page:

10 Pack 3,000 ~ 4000Khs Gridseed Set. All accessories included.

And the email I received:

1x 10 Pack 3,000 ~ 4000Khs Gridseed Set. All accessories included. for $2,399.00 each

How is "all accessories included" only USB and barrel connectors?

Plus I received an email from a Ms. Rizza, Paulite (who needs to learn how to BCC on mass emails btw):

You might receive two shipments, one from California with all the accessories and the one straight from the factory  with the Gridseed miners. Please keep that in mind. Thanks!

Again I ordered a package that included "ALL accessories"  I was under the impression I could plug and play with everything in hand.. otherwise I would have ordered elsewhere for just the miners themselves.

You ordered an earlier set we had where we had full accessories to get your miners powered up and connected to a computer. This was an earlier version of our set. The new set says plug and play in the title. The one you ordered does not have plug and play in the title. Also, you got 10% off.

We didn't even have raspberry pi image ready yet back then so I have no idea what gave you the impression that you were getting a raspberry pi. The description was very clear on what was included:

Here was the description.

People love us:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494166.0

This set includes the following:

10 Gridseed Units

10 Connectors

10 USB cables

Package will usually arrives within 2-4 days to anywhere in the USA. This ships same day fresh from the factory Smiley.

Returns are NOT accepted and all sales are final. We will provide full support to resolve any technical issues you may have and to have the miner repaired or replaced if needed. Return address is in Los Angeles. 60 Day Warranty

Regardless, since we love everyone we will give you a pi and a hub. Even to people who do not read descriptions. Tongue

Doesn't really help that the page I ordered from was taken down, broken link from my order status page, and details lacked on the order confirmation email too.  When others have said all accessories it has meant just that, I know the PI wasn't part of it.  If the description was still available to read, I would have read it.  You don't need to send anything.

Hoping he has already received them and is busy packing them all up.   Grin

yeah same here - doing 2 orders one with BTC and the other through his site I feel pretty secure still... wouldn't accept CC or PP if something fishy was planned..

Wouldn't mind a quick update though "Got em, boxing em, more later" kind of thing

if not - the pricing you have is horrible
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: March 21, 2014, 02:50:09 PM
Finally got an AntS1 binary out - it's 4.2.0 with a patch to make the Luci display work as well as the standard API so anyone wanting to use the API to their AntS1 can use the same code for their AntS1 as for any other cgminer device.

The patch (for anyone interested in knowing what I had to change) is here:
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/commit/28f27672d4deaef742c66a12522b745105b770f5

The binary and README are in my usual cgminer-binaries git here:
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS1

Read the README on the screen there for how to replace the /usr/bin/cgminer binary in your AntS1 with the new one.

Of course this binary includes all cgminer changes up to 4.2.0 and the one extra commit after 4.2.0 was released:
https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/commit/c73e9e7a4f457e94d0f61e0cfc9e8f4531a99f4b

The specific AntS1 changes are of course the changes that have been advertised in cgminer since I merged in the full AntS1 support.
They are:
Enable temperature management code (it doesn't work in the Bitmain code)
Use stratum time rolling to reduce CPU - it still runs at 100% CPU like the Bitmain version does, though.

Unfortunately updating CGminer voids the warranty :/

Curious - How many "warranty" related items/issues have you seen on your end regarding Bitmain products?

Good review... Thanks M-M!

Are you going to try that new cgminer which allows to customize frequency and push to the limit each unit separately?
If so could you also review it please... With long waiting time and low ROI I hope these units can be pushed a little bit further using custom software and config.

V

No problem!

Yeah, I have been eyeing that one today.. time permitting this weekend I want to give both that one and the Hashra flavor a try and will post results.
