Any version that uses the new USB drivers eventually crashes on me with mwsock.dll causing the error under Windows Sad

Update - confirmed after today's crash, same DLL listed above.. I have a copy/paste of the WIN7 report if needed... haven't run the debug build yet.. doesnt look like Ill have time to tinker until next week...   I think my latest run went a day and a half..
463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: August 29, 2013, 03:11:43 PM
For a 0.335 GH/s device to recover 0.17BTC with only a 20% diff each change ... it would take ... 190 Days
... at 1000 days it is ... 0.17936377 BTC (so pretty much never reach 0.18 BTC)

If on the other hand it was 30% diff each change ... at 500 days it will have generated ... 0.11957525 BTC ... 1000 days ... 0.11957587 BTC ... so it would never reach 0.12BTC ... of course 0.5W isn't free either ... especially after 1000 days ...
http://www.tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php

For a 10GH/s device at 20% increase each change, it would take 89 days to get 4BTC
at 30% increase it would ... 500 days 3.56940335 BTC ... 1000 days 3.56942180 BTC ... so never reach 3.6 BTC
But the electricity is pretty relevant also ...

Yes many people buying AsicMiner hardware will not get their many back ...

Well - I'm sold, in for 10 of each!

you better make sure this thread stays near the top until completely sold out... or else
465  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 16 Fully Assembled BITFURY Drillbit Boards on: August 29, 2013, 01:21:29 AM
IMO - he is running the show.. and can do what he feels best.. everyone had their opportunity to get in for weeks on the GB.

Would you rather him come back to the entire group and report issues and needed funds to cover the costs to continue or have the funds up front and available to get shit done and delivered sooner to everyone?

(quit shitting on his threads, there isn't a gun to anyone's head forcing them to bid....)

466  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC FPGA GPU overc monit fanspd RPC linux/win/osx/mip/r-pi 3.4.0 on: August 28, 2013, 06:47:02 PM
FWIW, I've not been able to run a version of CGMiner higher than 3.3.1 for longer than 48 hours driving Erupter USB's on Windows 7 64 bit or Windows 8 64 bit. 3.4.0 just died on me across two rigs.

Any version that uses the new USB drivers eventually crashes on me with mwsock.dll causing the error under Windows Sad

Have there been other reports of this perchance ?

Yeah, same here.. same setup (Win7 64bit).. never really checked the crash/dump though to confirm that dll.
467  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Block Erupter Blade]Low Price, Limited Quantity on: August 28, 2013, 03:35:59 PM
This is what I like to see, at 3.5 btc I may just pick one up to add to my collections.

You can buy them now at:.....  Smiley

you sure to post that a lot O_o
Just add the link to your signature, no need to spam the exact same message all over the place. Wink

Ensure you are reporting this assclown's spam to the mods - "Report to Moderators" bottom right of message..
468  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Block Erupter Blade]Low Price, Limited Quantity on: August 28, 2013, 12:33:09 PM
These new blades are available to be shipped world wide from https://2asic.com.

We have also compensated customers who have purchased blades for the decrease in price!

All - make sure to report posts like this to the mods... bottom right of the message "Report to Moderator"...

Seriously wtf?? Get a life/job/friend.
I'm not sure. Maybe the problem is US$868.97
4BTC is not worth that much, but that's what you're asking for the blade, but that is no reason to report the post.

Just ignore him and enjoy these products  Smiley

Nah - he keeps spamming his fucking site in multiple threads whenever he can.. I'm not reporting this thread.. just his fucking spam posts..
469  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Do we want to continue to allow varrious vendor hate in here? on: August 28, 2013, 02:39:20 AM
This place and especially this section has become it's own self sustaining "Troll Box" BTC-E style..

More section specific "neutral" mods, who can keep this place straight would be the best bet.  You can make a zillion sub-forums, but they will all mirror the main forum if it isn't policed and moderated...  without this action -> things will be much like the current one, just split in different areas...  You will still have the same clowns copy/pasting the same "OMG READ THIS VERY IMPORTANT WORD VOMIT ON WHY SOMEONE OR A COMPANY SUCKS BALLSACKS!!!1!11!!" in every thread or new thread..

If people see that you can't get away with all the senseless bullshit.. if they value the account/user name.. they will probably stop.

Also - it would probably help to have a sticky thread for new people browsing this section... it would have to be a fact driven thread of past, current and near future outlooks.. neutral if at all possible..

470  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: SAY NO TO "PRE-ORDERS"! 2asic.com starts shipping ASICMINER hardware world wide. on: August 28, 2013, 02:30:43 AM
Can we also "say no" to overpriced stock in hand?

Ummmm CAD $69.99 for a USB Block Erupter? I get these on Ebay for between US $40.00 to $45.00.

Go back and re-read.. I wasn't touting that this was a good deal by any means..

This is the second time I've seen a mention of this site outside the marketplace section.. it saddens me..
472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How to use ASICMiner Block Erupters with CGMiner on Windows 7 on: August 27, 2013, 10:52:17 PM
I was starting to get pissed one night setting things up when I realized on my mobo (ASrock extreme 3)... I had half of my setup plugged into a usb 2.0 port and the other have on a usb 3.0 port.. which was reading the erupters differently and not playing nice... keeping everything on usb 2.0 ports (for me at least) keeps things playing nice..
473  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My mining speed has decreased during the day just the last two days on: August 27, 2013, 04:32:38 PM
I'm actually noticing this too on my setup.. odd.. using the latest cgminer 3.4, going into BTCGuild.  (Win7. 64bit)

I had some hubs going into a main hub back to the PC.. for giggles... switched it to daisy chain last night.. no change..

474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] xCrowd*US/UK*TH/s+ Units on: August 27, 2013, 01:14:35 AM
I can only imagine the drama bomb if they actually had the escrow setup, people committed funds, and then the disappearance for a couple days..

Just wanted to say that it seems 3.4.0 has made my HW errors on the USB BEs drop significantly... very nice!  thx!
476  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: August 23, 2013, 01:04:39 AM
Those O2Cool fans are pieces of corn infested shit..

running non-stop they will last you maybe 3-4 months..  I've gone through 2.. on my last one..

Currently trying out one of those silverstone usb fans... not bad and is actually rated at 50000 lifetime hours

http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?scase=c_usb&pid=297&area=en

Also - yeah, I def wouldn't put USB BEs inside a cardboard box...
477  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] xCrowd*US/UK*TH/s+ Units on: August 22, 2013, 08:47:56 PM
I do not think there is enough evidence to label as scammer yet, but there are definately some things that need to be answered.

1) Where has xcrowd gone?  It seems he has been on the forums, but has not replyed to anyone or anything in a couple of days.  Has he been replying to emails?

2) Why does the link to the xcrowd forums not work on the website?  I had not checked if they were ever up if anyone can confirm if they were or not.

3) John K. confirmation that he is indeed working with xcrowd to provide escrow services for these products.

4) An employee list, when looking at the website it only seems like one person works there according to crowd sourcing website that is linked at the bottom.  Are there more employees?  Are they being hired?  This seems pretty important as one person certainly cant manage this by themselves. (and yes I see that he has job postings out, but is anything being done with them)

5) A business plan.  So far we have heard dates, how about something a little more concrete as far as a plan for the future?

I am sure I am forgetting something, and will update this post as it comes to mind with other questions that I have.  Please guys, lets not spread FUD and wait for an official word from xcrowd about the above questions, if you have others you want added, then please PM me and I will add them, so as not to burry these questions here.

Thanks,

Debit

Yeah - this is a good list of questions.  Highly recommend they be answered before Xcrowd asks for money.. escrow or not..
478  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [BFL 2012-November-06] 60GH single for sale on: August 22, 2013, 04:43:06 PM
wrong fucking forum
479  Other / Meta / Re: Mining - Subforums for each chip vendor? on: August 22, 2013, 03:05:44 PM
I was going to suggest this as well... but maybe a sub-forum for "BTC Miner Companies".. and let them trash that one with countless threads about pre-news announcements and shit.. perhaps even have one main company thread sticky'd up top if they donate to the forum since they are essentially getting free advertising from a large community..

Or if all else fails at least enforce a one thread rule on the current forum.. .much like what happened with all the BFL bullshit last year.. merge all threads into one and enforce it..

Announcement Thurs AUG 22nd 11:30 pm Sydney time.

I am going to be away this weekend so I won't be around to answer questions or process orders. Because we are getting to the end of the chips, we won't be accepting any orders during the time i'm away. I'll be back on monday and will kick everything again off from there. We may be looking at a new approach to distributing the final chips via auction. I have disabled the paypal buttons. Please don't send through any BTC over the next three days. Thanks guys. Have a great weekend.
