Who would have guessed that at this point Tom would be more honorable and trustworthy than BFL. Good on you tom for not just fucking off with the cash.
+ 1

Also, when everything has been paid back i vouch for "de-scammer" tagging him.

The mess is still ugly, but I concur.

If the money cannot be given back promptly one has to suspect it has been spent.
If it's coming back in drips and drabs one could suspect it was spent on a mining farm and he's mining back the money.
If you use a pre-order to obtain a free loan for equipment or investment that is still a scam, it's called an arbitrage scam.

Concur on the above from Gator ->  also should remain a listed "scammer" ->

hypothetical "if " - tommy screwed people whom may have used their "pre-order" funds towards an Avalon batch 1 and possibly 2.. (I know diversify is a good general rule, but sometimes that may not be an option for most)
607  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cairnsmore2 - What would you like? on: March 28, 2013, 01:36:16 PM
Id be interested, my Cainsmore 1 still running strong.

Most of them are. There may be an odd one we don't know about but failure rate is very much less than 1% over the very large build. I think it's fair to say that the cooling solution has done very well. Looks like we are building several hundred more in the nxt few weeks to keep up with current demand as well.

Interested in this piece of info regarding CM1's

Should be posted in the auction forum - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0

(I'm sure this post will be moved soon though).

Hello -

How many boards do you currently have for sale?  The original post still accurate on everything?

Thanks

611  Economy / Digital goods / [SOLD] AMD Steam Bundle Code - Bioshock Infinite / Crysis 3 on: March 27, 2013, 01:04:18 PM
Recently bought a AMD GPU (7950) from Amazon -

Instead of sending a scratch off card with the hardware they sent the promo-code via email.  (sold 2 actual cards on ebay recently)

Looking to sell to the first person who contacts me via PM for 0.5 BTC  (will send the promo code once transaction is confirmed via PM to buyer)

More info via Amazon link:

Isn't it a little odd that the overall efficiency has been pretty low lately?

614  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Batch 3 [CLOSED- DO NOT SEND FUNDS] on: March 26, 2013, 04:31:46 AM
I went into this taking the risk into account and personally I trust him. Not to mention pulling a fast one would ruin his name in the community and any rep he has built up, cutting him out from organizing similar buys in the future. Assuming this group buy ends up being a success he could potentially make even more money down the road as new ASICs inevitably come out people would trust him to host them.

So really...  I think it is in his best interest not to scam anyone.

Keep up the good work Smiley

Listen to this man folks. If this guy takes off with $30 grand, there's no way he'll be trusted with $30 grand next time. His reputation related to this specific screen name is on the line here.

Ok, I'm really serious. I'm not answering any questions or anything until tomorrow after I get off work.

All unused coins will be refunded to the investors that are not included in the group buy within the next 24-48 hours.

This is how it starts. "i'm too busy to answer questions" and vague promises of refunds in the future.

617  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: -= Galaxy 1 - 20nm ASIC Announcement =- on: March 25, 2013, 01:11:40 PM
Hmm.. interesting.. probably beat BFL too.. lol

Prepare for an extensive background check.. this forum has some decent google detectives..

If this is legit.. then best of luck.. we need more competition with ASIC.. given the current pre-order pricing from the only company that has delivered thus far.
618  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling FPGA mining rig: 48 units on: March 24, 2013, 04:37:14 PM
If you have 48 units why is the minimum bid now 6.5 BTC?

Market price is recovering, having a hard time justifying a >100 day ROI with current difficulty and piles of ASICs on the way.

If I'm just missing something, then I bid 12 BTC for two units, USPS to Pennsylvania

lol.. I concur.. but again.. there is a buyer out there for everything.. he is selling them at about the right time.. difficulty isn't through the roof yet (did just go up and allchains is forecasting at least another 20% bump 11 days from now).. plus not too many ASICs in the wild yet...

My bid, and yes I am aware of it being below 6.5btc/board still stands... just in case anyone backs out/falls through... Tongue  thanks!
619  Other / Off-topic / Re: Selling FPGA mining rig: 48 units on: March 23, 2013, 06:12:41 AM
(if bulk buyer falls through)

Would offer 50BTC for 12 (escrow preferred)
620  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LEGAL COURSE of ACTION Discussion --- bASIC / BitcoinASIC on: March 23, 2013, 01:46:51 AM

BTW: miter_myles is not and has never been a customer of BTCFPGA/BitcoinASIC

I don't owe him a penny.

he is just a mean nasty person who enjoys seeing others suffer.

Awww... Tommy "CAN-ELEC" McScam... I really do like how you try so hard to deflect things... you almost look like a victim when you say stupid shit like that.. lol

Actually, and rather unfortunately, I was indeed a sucker customer at one time (multiple orders even, omg!)... thankfully I did not pay via BTC.. still had to ride out my chargebacks and lost time and money following your little donkey show bASIC..

Good luck on your ebay sales!
