1881  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Video: How High Will Bitcoin Go? $2000, $5000 or $10'000? 🤔 on: January 08, 2017, 07:05:26 PM
I think your prediction holds true, if the status quo is maintained, and bitcoin remains a speculative wild ride fun to trade "thing".
while i go out on a limb and assume it will soon prove itself useful which will lead to a boom in adoption.
i've seen a couple of your videos along the way, and i like them, thanks for sharing.

here's a bunch of other fun numbers to consider.

seems the crashes are getting less and less intense as well.

32 -> 2 : -93%
266 -> 50: -81%
1200 -> 250: -79%

 Tongue

Thanks man  Cool

In what do you think bitcoin will prove itself useful that is different from today (black market & capital flight)?

Interesting numbers as well of the crashes, thanks for sharing Smiley

my idea is that while a lot of projects have been out for month or years, they haven't really penetrated the market yet. like stampery, https://stampery.com/benefits, this project is very cool, and will save big money for society in general when adopted.

I think this kind of thing being adopted and used by everyone is inevitable ( its the simpler cheaper faster way...) . I think "blockchain tech" is only now starting to be taken seriously, but very few poeple actually know or understand its potential / usefulness. I think we've seen a lot of interesting things being built on top of blockchain of late, and the infrastructure is more or less ready, ( and it wasn't there at all in 2013... in 2013 pizzaforcoins.com was "hot" ) and the blockchain is starting to be seen in a more serious light. once scalability is increased, we'll see an incress in use, faster and faster poeple will discover all these neat things blockchain can do in a simpler cheaper faster better way, and actually have some faith in the underlying tech.

Its not a matter of IF blockchain will prove useful, but when. Bitcoin's first impression on the world was Crazy Magic Internet money that is constantly on the verge of collapse... altho We understood that this was a bad way to look at it, most poeple didnt catch that, if you ask 10 people on the street "have you heard about bitcoin" maybe 7/10 will say yes ( maybe not ... )  but not one will be able to explain how it could potentially change the world,  they still think we bitcoiners have all been had! have we? hahahahahha NO!

Did okcoin go down for a few minutes or something?
See the flatline?

I can only imagine it must have went offline or froze or something..
might be getting ddos, there was talk of this yesterday.
1883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 05:20:53 AM
I haven't sold any in a long time. I think I may sell a few if we can get back to around $1100. Will buy back more if we get into $800s

This.
Why the next pump will fall short. All the peoples that feel they missed out on the last peak will dump as soon as they can.

once there done selling then we can go to 1337?
1884  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 04:37:21 AM
Finally! round 2
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Video: How High Will Bitcoin Go? $2000, $5000 or $10'000? 🤔 on: January 08, 2017, 04:11:05 AM
i disagree, you're prediction is based purely on past preformance.

2 -> 32 = 16X
32 -> 266 = 8.3X
266 -> 1200 = 4.5X
1200 -> 2200 = 2X

seems logical...
but thats no way to get to 32,000$ / btc...

2200 -> 3300 = 1.5X
3300 -> 4125 = 1.25X

we'll never make it to 32,000$ per bitcoin  Undecided

if we assume that bitcoin will begin to play some role in the real world of finance, weather it be as a digital gold safe haven or a black market money or remittance or World reserve currency, or online shopping?
then we will necessarily see maybe 10K BTC or maybe 5million per bitcoin!

So i'll ask you to open your mind to the possibility that during the 2 year bear market bitcoin had been creating apps, websites and tools, in order to fulfill its use cases. now that poeple are starting to learn how they could save 15-30% on amazon.com .ca .uk, now that poeple find bitcoin ATM's near them and say "hey this might be better then WU", etc... TX volume is blowing up, and price MUST MOVE.
This is it buddy!
this is where bitcoin starts to be seen in a new light, no longer a useless fun play thing, but a useful tool that saves YOU money!

it is my opinion that we are setup to see the biggest incress in bitcoin history ~100X

>32,000$ in <2years

you better believe it
 Cool

I'm not sure using $32,000 per btc, or comparable market caps to fiat currencies, as a starting point is wise.

It is not certain bitcoin will ever reach that, it may well be that it does not, or other cryptocurrencies do it in it's place.

I think a much more valuable indicator is past performance, and indeed stretch this into the future to see what is most likely.

It is a fact that bitcoin bubbles have been less strong over time, so it is most likely to continue as such and the next bubble will be less strong again than the previous one.

Sure it is possible what you say, but I think it is fair to say the odds are not in your favor for it to happen so bet on it if you must, but only small.

I think your prediction holds true, if the status quo is maintained, and bitcoin remains a speculative wild ride fun to trade "thing".
while i go out on a limb and assume it will soon prove itself useful which will lead to a boom in adoption.

haha ok then.

I just love when bitcoin goes up - gives me a head rush. Such a downer these past couple of days.

idk, i had a blast last night.
1888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 02:41:44 AM

1889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 02:39:26 AM
nice jump there!
give it half an hour.
1890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 02:35:47 AM
so, like 980? right?
1891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2017, 02:24:01 AM
I don't think the dump is over. I think it's still going a little bit lower.

imho up we go again, judging from MACD and volume bars on the 4 hours chart.

1893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 04:19:23 AM
i'll gladly buy low got 10K?

Yeah, right...

Define:   "low"

We don't know what is "low" yet, do we?    Surely, I would like to see this reverse... but I don't know the target.. seems like it may be into the $700s or lower, but there may be some reversal at some point before reaching $700s?

Maybe below $600 is low?  That is where we started this rally, more or less in early October.

i was thinking like 820
but hey ill buy at 600!
1894  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 04:08:19 AM
Well, I've just set a limit order to spend the last of my fiat at 500.  Now I'm going to go to sleep (it's 4am here) and try not to look in on Bitcoin for the next three months  Grin Cheesy

Goodnight  Grin

 Cheesy Cheesy

try not to give a fuck. dont watch for a few months. its only a few bucks. go focus on other things.

we'll be here when you come back.

..... see your tomorrow morning.
1895  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 03:59:27 AM

Will it ever leave this juvenile boom and bust stuff behind?

never

speculation will ALWAYS be 1 order of magnitude over actual supply and demand.

the money of the future has a market cap of + or - 50 trillion

get use to it.

1898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 03:45:14 AM
Lovin the highs and lows here in the speculation thread. I'm talking moods not price.

Waht do you expect?

This is a thread about price, and if the price goes down the mood goes down, ... vice versa

You cannot relate, mate?

No I can't relate. I'm all happy. Why the sadness? We all made money didn't we? Now we can rinse and repeat.
some of us are 1000's of dollar in the hole buying this fucking hell hole.
1899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2017, 03:41:58 AM

Margin bought 5750 and I'll let it liquidate if it so decides..
