1  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Microsoft or Google - who should own GitHub on: June 29, 2018, 04:48:44 PM
Follow the money, tht is the primary motivation of Microsoft. I won't go into the other stuff like global eugenics via vaccinations. If you think that the acquisition by a company that attempts enforced centralisation to increase profits is a good thing, then I don't believe you are thinking forward.

Following the money is the primary goal for any business. Is this a surprise? If you are one of those anti vaccination people theres really nothing to talk about. Good luck with the tin foil hat and your polio infested offspring.
2  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Aren’t accounts prices a bit low? on: June 29, 2018, 04:44:27 PM
People selling accounts should be permabanned from the forum. There is literally no reason to buy an account that isnt scummy in some way. This place has enough sig spammers and garbage ass people providing nothing useful to the forum. I cant for the life of me figure out why this is allowed.
3  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB]🌟Antminer Z9 mini 🌟cheap🌟 read explanation why I do not pay $2,000🌟 on: June 29, 2018, 04:38:53 PM
You doom and gloom guys are hilarious. They wont recoup the investment? You must not math very well.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner on: June 27, 2018, 08:19:02 PM
So why is it that you guys are dumb enough to buy a machine that can only do a single algo with no real history of profit, then call bitmain scammers because you realized what a stupid mistake you made?

They made hardware, they sold hardware. The rest is ALL up to you. You cant blame them for your dumb decisions.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My first mining setup on: June 27, 2018, 07:50:49 PM
This is the BITCOIN mining SUPPORT forum. If you want to introduce yourself you should be doing it in the altcoin section since you are mining altcoins.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low estimate Payouts on: June 27, 2018, 04:19:20 PM
Switching algos and chasing profits like that always leads to making less overall. You shouldnt be looking at how much fiat per day you are making, you should be mining coins you think have a strong upside so you can sell them for a profit later. The way you are doing it leaves most of the profit in the trash as you bounce around endlessly on garbage coins.
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Cooling my racks with "free-cooling" on: June 27, 2018, 03:50:19 PM
forced air on the intake side is useless, the miners only flow so much. You need to 100% focus on removing hot air and letting the miners pull the ambient air in for themselves.
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 13.5 one board stopped hashing on: June 27, 2018, 03:49:02 PM
- File System: Fri Nov 17 17:57:49 CST 2017 (just updated)

You just updated to the worst firmware bitmain has ever put out for the S9, id recommend rolling it back if you are having any issues.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine? on: June 26, 2018, 03:45:27 PM
so.... my sha256 is great when i mine bitcoin, but if i want to open a discussion to benefit us all bit its not bitcoin, it should be banned and discussed elsewhere....

Ah well...
Only a matter of time that Bitcoin becomes an altcoin...  Grin Grin

You are correct. It should be discussed elsewhere, as is stated in the rules.

I mean simple forum rules are so hard to follow right?
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 problem see picture link on: June 26, 2018, 03:40:13 PM
full power cycle a few times to see if it hashes?

If it is the Nov 17th firmware you should downgrade it, that firmware is terrible.
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: PDU, to use or not to use on: June 25, 2018, 05:43:37 PM
If you are looking for a high number of breakers the geist metered PDUs can support 6x 20 amp breakers for 2 miners each at 240V, so up to 12 miners per PDU.

If there is a problem that shuts off the breaker the PDU is attached to you will lose a large section of miners. Having a breaker trip and 4 miners shut off is much more desirable than losing 12 at once IMO and if you have a melted plug or something else that needs to be addressed there will be a ton of downtime.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3+ Solomining on: June 25, 2018, 05:39:38 PM
This is the bitcoin mining section. You need to ask this question in the proper altcoin forum if you would like an answer. It can be found halfway down the main page or so.
13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Merit abuse. 50+12 merits received within 1 day and 1 minute. on: June 22, 2018, 09:59:36 PM
The best part about this thread is the guy complaining has 0 merits, proving how useless his posts are.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Ethereum Private Key scam - Sneakiest Scam - Be aware and Stay Safe on: June 22, 2018, 09:55:57 PM
You were trying to steal tokens and then you complain that its a scam?

Thieves deserved to get scammed.
15  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Custom Firmware AntMiner S7? on: June 22, 2018, 09:44:00 PM
What about bmminer recompile with lower voltages set?

S7s dont run bmminer and nobody was able to get voltage changes to work via software. As has been stated, sidehacks PIC flash mod is the way to go on these older miners. You can get them down to like .22j/gh if you win the chip lottery.
16  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Microsoft or Google - who should own GitHub on: June 22, 2018, 09:41:00 PM
You guys sound like you dont understand the transformation that has happened with Microsoft over the last few years. They do more open source than most other companies these days. Windows is almost a meaningless piece of their portfolio these days. Look forward, not back.
17  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The world we live in....... on: June 22, 2018, 09:38:31 PM
There is no excuse to be homeless in the United States.

Poor people need to stop having children they cant afford.

Bums need to get off their ass, go to a community center, get cleaned up, and find a job.

Beggars need to be thrown off a cliff.
18  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Who at the dod investigate the fbi for treason risks? on: June 22, 2018, 09:30:51 PM
Everyone knows the Smoking Man and his crew are really running things.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: B3 Owners - Let s make a class action against BITMAIN and BYTOM on: June 22, 2018, 08:31:08 PM
You are feeling buyers remorse.

Bitmain did nothing wrong.

They built hardware, they sold hardware.

You bought it.

They made no representations or guarantees, and if you look at their website it specifically says they are not to be held responsible to the coins ecosystem.

You are the fool that bought a miner that could only mine one random altcoin with no proven track record. Its your screw up, not theirs.
