The best way to mine is to not convert your crypto at all and just use fiat from your job to pay for it. Remember in the US you are paying capital gains on your conversions so every time you pay a bill with converted crypto you need to set aside what equates to about 40% of what you converted for taxes.
Convert ETH to $200 USD
Pay a $200 electric bill.
You owe ~$80 in taxes from that transaction.

Why do you guys keep saying mining is hard when all you are concerned about is the value? Mining is super easy, you plug in your information, run a script, and it does everything for you. There is literally nothing hard about the act of mining.

Switch to linux if you want reliable and consistent results when it comes to mining.
profit switching is pretty useless unless you are live converting each coin the second you mine it. Picking a single coin and mining it while holding the coins is always waaaaay more profitable.
Claiming eth is the most profitable shows a lack of understanding of the ecosystem overall. I have been mining ZEC for the last 14 months over eth because I run all Nvidia stuff and I dont pay for power. Profitability is a case by case thing depending on a number of factors.
You are flat out wrong claiming its the most profitable to mine on Nvidia hardware.
E.G. - GTX 1070 @ 475 sols = $61/mo
GTX 1070 @ 26 mh = $50/mo

90 USD daily per 1080ti? Are you sure?
For the early miner. We gave out 2000 medic coins each day. One person with a 1080ti got 30% of the point per day of the pool. So he got 600 medic coins a day. At 15 cents per medic coin, 600 medic coins = $90. Like everything else, early miners got the rewards So you say currently one would net you $90, when in reality one guy made that much for one day once because he was in before the public. Thats a pretty shady way to advertise.

Try researching and posting in the altcoin section, you will find all the answers you need there. This section is for bitcoin only.

Switch to linux and all of your weird windows problems will go away.

From what I understand there are design differences between the boards that would make using the improper firmware not a good idea. I dont have personal experience with it but I would err on the side of caution.

Looks like you have an old 3rd batch s7. You just need a 54 chip board from any s7 and you will be fine, it doesnt have to be v1.8 or hash board 1.5, any 54 chip board will do.

Nvidia has not launched any new GPUs and wont for at least another month. The questions you are asking are purely speculative and nobody answering them here will actually have a clue, with half of them turning it into a conspiracy of some sort.

Your temps are well under the danger levels. The difference in temps is probably due to bitmains poor QA practices. Often times you will have a board or two with crooked heatsinks that mess with air flow and create hot spots on the board. There really isnt anything to be done about it, thats just the bitmain lottery.

You need to be in computer mode, not gaming.

Now also going to look at dual-mining.
Dual mining means you are mining ethereum, which you should not be doing with an nvidia card. You should look into equihash algos

My farm has at least 3 different brands of exhaust fans, all from one batch of miners... nothing to worry about.
I was just going to mention that I get 2-3 different fan types with my large orders of s9s. Its normal and if they put the fan on there, its good enough to get the job done.

I have over 120 6 card rigs minign to flypool. There was a 30 minute window of no shares submitted early this morning but other than that it has been just fine.
If a single card could produce over $2000 USD a month im pretty sure every miner in the world would be on it. Use a lil common sense here when people make these wild ass claims.

You can use shapeshift.io to convert currencies anonymously. Online wallets are not recommended because you most likely do not control your private keys. If you want to go that route, look into coinomi wallet on your phone.

Sry, i meant auto switching ports. Same port and you earn zcash, zcl, ..... the pool switches it herself.
This is the bitcoin section of the forum, which is why I made my comment. If you are talking about GPU mining adn altcoins you need to put it in the proper section.
