It all depends on your electrical setup. The PDU plug just needs to match the receptacle type of your build. At the scale you are going you really should have a knowledgeable electrician you can consult in these matters. Building it all out based on forum posts and unsubstantiated data is very risky.

821 price predicition for distributors
For 821 you can consider that the price could be anywhere between 3000 and 4000 per machine.
Avalon 841 release:
The 841 should start shipping in the March April time frame. Performance should range around 13TH and 12 Watts.
Not sure where you got your data but I wouldnt be sharing that information since it is not true.

I really cant go into specifics but it really depends on your location. If you live in a high humidity area you will not have much luck with evaporative cooling. Its all about controlling air flow. Feeding miners fresh air that has not already been through a heat cycle will do wonders even on hotter days.
Also I mention chip temps because that is all the current s9s report. There is no way to get PCB temps so you have to base what you do off of the data you have.

I have my fans custom made in China.
Officially they are AV Cool Model: YD12038H12B but im not sure if they are even sold publicly.
You basically need a 6000 rpm fan that is at least 2.5a to replace them.

Do you mind sharing the common problems with ducting? I might be making those mistakes.
Most people dont size the duct properly for the airflow needed or they do not take into account the length of the duct. Think about it in terms of car exhaust. You have to balance the backpressure properly or the system will suffer. That is why you cant run an engine without headers, nor will it run properly with an exhaust that is sized too small, there is a balance that needs to be achieved. Also people will use inline fans that are not cfm matched to the amount of flow you are trying to create or they wont have enough fresh air in the room to pull through the machines. There are a number of factors that need to be taken into account.

If you are running AC to cool your miner, you are already doing it wrong. AC will eat into your profits in a huge way.
Think about when you use canned air for too long. The temperature delta where you are spraying it is rather huge and creates instant condensation and residue. Blowing cold AC directly onto a very hot heatsink will do something similar and you can see the results in the video.

This is something I am sure people will find value in.
I do have a few small suggestions. Using a combination of Ansible and sed, you can make this more efficient and batch program many miners at once. You can use sed to replace individual lines rather than deleting, creating, and then modifying a new file. With ansible, you can batch them and auto generate worker names and batch program multiple miners at once and restart all the services in one shot.

This should be pretty obvious as the APW3 only puts out 1200 watts on 110v. Every other support post these days has people plugging these into 110v then not understanding why they dont work properly.

Flash the device with different firmware? Try a different fan port on the controller?

The first step would be reading the forum yourself. You would see that you posted this in the bitcoin section which expressly prohibits questions about altcoin mining.

It looks like the person that owned that miner was an idiot. There is corrosion all over those cards, you cant blame bitmain for that.
|
|
|
You cool them by exchanging fresh air in the room. Ducting just adds its own set of problems because most people dont understand how to size it properly so as to not restrict the miners natural cooling ability.
Do some research on how to setup hot/cold isles to properly manage heat.

why do you need all these people for this?? if you can't run the show yourself, then the person that is running it will run away with your coins eventually
I dont get why people post things like this. They guy is talking about running a legitimate business. Those require employees. I used to manage thousands of miners on my own and it is more than a single person can handle.

What exactly is difficult about buying a miner and plugging it in? Thats all it takes to get into mining.
Being too broke to get into mining is a personal problem, not a problem with the mining ecosystem.
"It takes money to make money." <---this has been true for as long as money has existed.

So first we have promojo claiming to have a unit and talking it up.
He disappears.
Then Scott shows up claiming to have a unit but claiming he doesnt work directly for them. Then we find out he controls Halongs sales email.
He disappears.
Now a new halongmining account appears making even more claims.
How long until this account goes silent?
P.S. The general consensus from the big players at BTC Miami is that halong is 100% a scam. We couldnt find anyone that believed they had an actual product.

Since you have admitted this is illegal you will find no help here.

You can but sometimes the results are very confusing. I would warn against mixing board revisions if at all possible
|
|

If you dont need to static the miners the antpool rollout tool will do pretty much everything you need.

As long as you are using the proper Avalon image that should be all you haveto do to the RPi. I would suggest swapping USB cables and possibly the AUC if you have a spare. You can also check the logs on the RPi to see if it is trying to load the AUC and failing.
