2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: March 03, 2024, 11:37:02 PM
Sure, gambling can be exciting for a lot of folks. Including me. The chance of winning gives a rush. But we always gotta think - is the fun worth the harm it can cause? Gambling ain't a game like football with cheering crowds and it can hurt people badly, financially and psychologically. If you are not ready for that, you can always find safer ways to get your joy that don't put everything at stake.

This explains why only a select few people are able to control their emotions when they bet. While the thrill of gambling might be seductive, it's important to recognize the possible risks involved and take precautions to bet sensibly. In other words, gambling can result in financial losses similar to what the OP has experienced, and he may be disappointed if he simply bets without winning. Because of the stress of losing money and the inability to control our gambling impulses, it can also have an adverse effect on our mental health. For this reason, I believe that protecting our mental health should come first when it comes to gambling.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 03, 2024, 11:25:09 PM
I always tell and advise my friends who are new to gambling to never look for a pattern in luck-based games because there is none even the ever-popular martingale is not a guarantee that you can find a pattern that will give you a continuous win.

I have a friend who boasted that he had found a pattern where it allowed him to win 10 successive bets on Mine Sweeper, he used that pattern two successive days with success but unfortunately for him on the third day those patterns are not working anymore even on the 4th and fifth days, now he is back on the drawing board again..

I told him that the house edge plays out and since this is luck based game what works now may not work tomorrow every day is a new session with new patterns

How about you have you at one time of your gambling experience experienced finding patterns that you think are effective and consistent only to find out later after several days that it's not working anymore..

And are you still looking for patterns that you think will work in the long run for you.

I must admit that I did it once after discovering some influencers on YouTube who seemed to be using this gambling site and claiming to have some sort of pattern that you should follow. This piqued my interest, so I downloaded the app and made a small deposit to see if it was legitimate or not. But regrettably, I was duped by how much they broke away from the pattern they had been adhering to. However, it taught me a valuable lesson since, after that, I didn't follow any pattern at all, and gambling is purely based on luck, skills, and technique. Another friend of mine claims that there is a pattern to the game, and since I don't understand it at all, I stopped playing and believed the game wasn't for me.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake; one couple two accounts illegal? on: March 03, 2024, 10:51:23 PM

Now the support is saying that my account got frozen because of multi accounting.
Was it illegal to open two accounts between me and my husband?

I will provide all the documents required but I would like to know first if what we did was prohibited or not.
Of course, it is against the rules to register for many accounts at a casino, especially if you know that the establishment is reliable and has been around for a while. This merely shows that you're unaware of their terms and conditions. Even though you may win games in a row, I believe they will have to check your account and have the authority to freeze it if they discover anything suspicious. It really isn't their fault since the casino is merely trying to protect itself from being taken advantage of by some players. I understand how unpleasant it can be to be in a scenario where you are winning but fate has other ideas, which just makes things more difficult.
The thing is that, stake didn't just block the account without any significant reasons, and from the look of things, the ops already violated the rules before even knowing that having multiple accounts under the same IP will result in account abuse which it conciquencies is blockage of account and with all the found in it, and in this case, the husband and wife committed a violation of the casino rules and their law will take it course.

My only worries is that, hope the players did not make huge deposits on the account before it was frozen?
It's unfortunate that the couple is in such terrible circumstances, but there is nothing we can do about it. Perhaps this will teach them a lesson so that the next time they gamble, they will already be aware of the potential consequences of failing to read the terms and conditions of the casino. Since it was so lengthy to read and at times the words were too small for my eyesight, I am aware that many people—including myself—are too lazy to read it, but I think it's a useful first step that we should take to ensure a simple and enjoyable gambling experience.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin on: March 03, 2024, 10:40:00 PM
Yo,

So apparently there's like 4-6 million bitcoin that are lost and gone? Just curious if there was any ideas or plans to update the protocol to replace the lost bitcoins if there was a consensus, if that is even possible.
As far as I know, there hasn’t been any widely accepted plan or consensus to update the bitcoin protocol to replace lost bitcoins. I mean, we might think of it as a gift to the community as a whole. though you will truly regret it because the money you would have received was wasted and you ended up losing it. In order to protect your account and ensure that you can easily remember and recover it, it is advisable to put your private keys or your bitcoin password somewhere where you may also store other crucial account passwords. I personally prefer to take notes in my notebook rather than save any sensitive data on my laptop or mobile device since I worry that someone could gain access to my belongings and be able to hack them.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: March 03, 2024, 10:23:30 PM
It is crucial that we speak with them at the beginning so that they are aware of our activities and the kinds of vices or hobbies we indulge in. After all, there are no secrets that should remain hidden. We shall know what will happen at the end, which is why there are always regrets. What will happen when we cross our boundaries and engage in undesirable behavior, such as getting debt from gambling, because we will become used to it? Even when we bring problems to ourselves, our family and loved ones are the ones who support us and help us find solutions. Sometimes, they even become involved as a result of our careless and dumb behavior.
This is the main reason I would never advise anyone to be ever ashamed, scared or for any other reasons keep any habits a secret especially gambling because when the state of addiction, desperation or any gambling bad habits is popping in, we can't see it earlier but others do.
Also I can't hide anything I love just because of Fear or being scared of speaking about it to those around me
So it's better to just keep it a secret, if you're afraid you won't be able to control your gambling, therefore it's important for you to gamble responsibly so you can be independent and don't need to ask for advice from other people. the people around you, especially family.

The point is to return to the core of the problem, this all depends on each individual and we cannot apply all of people's advice to ourselves. Until now my gambling activities have been very secretive, no one knows except online friends who gamble together.
I kind of disagree with you on this one, though, because it seems unbearable that you are unable to listen to the advice of others—after all, you can never tell when you are developing a gambling addiction. Because you occasionally lose consciousness when playing because you are enjoying the game, it might be challenging to determine whether you are a responsible gambler. It is completely fine to be open and honest with your family about your gambling habits, so they can help you avoid becoming addicted to gambling. If you hide your gambling activities, you hinder and prevent other people from offering you advice and support, which could be beneficial to you personally. If you hide your gambling, you can miss out on important support systems and chances for help if your behavior gets out of control.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who was Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 03, 2024, 10:04:47 PM
In an attempt to determine Satoshi Nakamoto's true identity, there are several speculations, and individuals are collecting information and connecting the dots. Come on, people—don't you get tired of doing this? I mean, Satoshi would be happy to disclose himself if he so desired. Perhaps, though, we ought to just respect his right to silence and be grateful that he founded this wonderful community. Everybody may be Satoshi, after all, and they can create stories on their own to become well-known or for other purposes. Perhaps Satoshi only desired to stay anonymous in order to protect himself and avoid social pressures. But in all honesty, I'm sick of reading speculative articles on who Satoshi Nakamoto really is. Cry

Some people are just so determined to find out who Satoshi is that they leave all their work and keep researching this matter. I mean, leave the man alone for god's sake. If he wanted to be known for what he did, he would never hide his identity in the first place, and if he did that, he must have done it for some reason and we should respect that. What's wrong with him staying anonymous? He gave us Bitcoin, that's enough for us.
On the other hand, some people are so desperate to prove that they are Satoshi Nakamoto such as Craig Steven Wright despite the fact that it could be a threat for them, all they most probably care about is gaining fame with Satoshi's name.
It's true, and I didn't understand why these folks couldn't respect others' privacy—can we simply go with the flow? It is crucial that we recognize that Satoshi made a conscious decision to remain anonymous. Instead of concentrating on the individual who created bitcoin, why don't we concentrate on the significance of Satoshi's creation, the bitcoin, and the influence it has had on our lives? Concerning those claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, perhaps they don't think their safety matters and that they can hurt their family since they are aware of the powerful reputation that Satoshi has or because it may draw in bad people. They are making these kinds of statements without providing enough evidence, which can be misleading and damaging to the credibility of the bitcoin community.

People would really be just that be able to realize things on the time that they would really be suffering those issues or withdrawal problems. If they would really be tending back to read up those terms and conditions
then this is the time that they would really be telling into themselves that they should have done on reading up those terms before they do play or make a new account. Most of the time on which
multi-account is really that prohibited specially if its been used into some abuse of bonuses or some sort. Whenever you do win up something then it cant be avoided for the casino to make
out some checks and if ever they've seen violation then expect that they would be coming up with this kind of actions.
Yes, given that casinos are based on probability and are therefore cautious, we should be prepared for this kind of circumstance. That is why I think it makes sense that when a player wins a lot, someone would assume that person has a skill advantage, has discovered a flaw in the game, or is possibly cheating. As a result, they must ensure that the game is fair, your wins are real, and you follow their rules and regulations when playing by checking in to your account.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling still pays regardless of our losses on: March 03, 2024, 05:08:46 PM
Whoa, congratulations! It is true that gambling is fun, and the potential rewards and prizes can be very enticing. Perhaps this is why some gamblers find it difficult to say no to gambling. Due to the variety of emotions I experience, I also find gambling to be exciting and entertaining as a gambler. Sometimes we just blindly place a wager without thinking that it will turn out well or that we will succeed. Life is enjoyable, and I'm slowly coming to understand and experience what other gamblers might go through if they develop an addiction to it. While it is important that we gamble properly, I feel sorry for individuals who are unable to manage their addiction and for those who are being criticized by society rather than receiving support in their fight against it.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: March 03, 2024, 04:58:20 PM
It's true that gambling is viewed vary widely by the society, depending on personal beliefs, experiences and cultural factors. Gambler who keep it a secret from their family and friends could have a variety of reasons. Could be because they feel ashamed or embarrassed or maybe they just fear being judged or affects their relationship from other people or their loved ones and etc. Whether or not your proud as a gambler or you just simply want t o keep you personal activities private, it still varies from person to person.

Everyone of us has a secret and there are a lot reason why we hide it but in gambling it's better to show all we got than hiding some of this problems. Cause it will affect more in our life once we are hiding something in our family and it will make more crucial if they will know late than their expected. Anyways it's up to us if we gonna tell our family or keep it hiding until they found out cause there's no secret that can not be revealed.
It is crucial that we speak with them at the beginning so that they are aware of our activities and the kinds of vices or hobbies we indulge in. After all, there are no secrets that should remain hidden. We shall know what will happen at the end, which is why there are always regrets. 11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision 2024 bets on: March 03, 2024, 04:44:47 PM
You guys may not agree with me, but after hearing all of the entries you have been posting on this topic, it seems to me that modern music is just music. By composing their pieces, I've come to learn that some musicians are lifeless. It seemed as though they were merely performing; they had no emotion at all and were doing it to win the competition. You have to connect the lyrics with the music in order to truly appreciate its genuine meaning, which is not only based on the beat or rhythm, as only a few people will understand. Some lyrics can also be used in politics, you know. I mean, for me, there is nothing wrong when someone creates music about politics and how the government operates. In that way, they can express their feelings and be able to forward other people's concerns, and they will be able to become aware of the truth of how society is going. I think that it would catch the attention of people, and they would have some thoughts about it.
Yeah, i am disagreeing with you. Part about emotions that you described is highly subjective and beauty (or emotion) is always in the eye of beholder.Calling music or musicians lifeless or shells is telling more about the fact that listener doesn't connect with it. It however doesn't mean others wouldn't. I recently read an article (i can't remember where) where people listened to music, written by AI, and people who were told it was written by AI, described it soulless and empty, while people who weren't told about it, didn't seem to be feeling that way, and it raising various emotions in them. This doesn't mean you have to see soul in everything or like it, i just think it's a matter of perspective.

About that poilitical part: Eurovision tries to stay apolitical, as it could easily turn a platform from uniting nations to tool for dividing people. Everything is political in some way, but it doesn't mean this is the correct platform for dividing messages, which this rule is supposed to fight against. It's about unity and music.
Then, I suppose, whether or not that music piques someone's interest truly depends on their personal taste. I suppose it was just not my sort of music, and our perspectives are different. I believe that having a soul when producing music is crucial since it can significantly increase the emotional effect we can achieve and produce the desired piece. In other words, if you are soulless, your compositions would lack feeling and genuineness. The modern world is so advanced in terms of technology that even artificial intelligence can compose a song, and people go crazy for it. AI has the potential to make humans stupid. While it can benefit certain people greatly and improve our thinking, in the end we are just fooling ourselves and becoming less productive as a result of our dependence on high-tech devices.

There is no need for an argument, as I also believe that music unites people and helps us understand one another. Music also serves as a means of bringing people together and connecting us all to do things that can benefit our society.

Because
Sleep dreams that the tendency to suddenly become rich Cry

This is not really normal because meme coin is more dangerous in this crypto market. They always collect money from investors by showing amazing attractive offers. In reality their project does not last long in the market because most of the team members of meme coin are new generation and they have less experience. They are coming to the market only to grab the investor capital completely.
To be honest, I have no motive to buy meme coins, and instead, I would rather purchase bitcoins for long-term investment and holding. For me, meme coins are more influenced by online communities and social media trends. People are simply too idealistic about becoming wealthy more quickly, but only if they are aware of the risks involved. In other words, because of the hype and the sudden fluctuations in value, it might be more appealing to some than others. However, it's also important to remember that meme coins may be very risky and are frequently very speculative, so you should use caution while purchasing them.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 03, 2024, 03:43:34 PM
1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
Because If you lose the bet, you will lose all of your money. On the contrary, you may be able to spread out your risk and win some of your bets even if you lose some if you place several smaller bets.

2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
That being said, I only wager what I can afford to lose because I'm a cautious bettor. I have learned to keep on course and that it's best to have a minimum and maximum amount that you can bet, even though there are moments when I go over my limit because of tension I experience when playing.

3. Don't bet more than once a day.
There might be a tendency that we chase losses and make impulsive decisions. Sometimes it is great to discipline ourselves first.

4. Don't bet every day.
Same answer as number 3
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why inflated countries should adopt Bitcoin to help boost their economy. on: March 03, 2024, 03:22:35 PM
We all know that the price of bitcoin is quite volatile and that it could present serious difficulties for both consumers and businesses; therefore, I guess I disagree with you, OP. Relying on a currency that is prone to extreme price fluctuations, for instance, could increase economic instability and make long-term planning more difficult in nations that already struggle with inflation. Furthermore, because not everyone is aware of bitcoin and because some governments may forbid using that form of cryptocurrency, recognizing bitcoin as legal cash without sufficient regulation could expose the economy to risks including money laundering, fraud, and tax evasion. As these are merely subjective opinions, let's consider the potential outcomes of your thoughts, OP.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 03, 2024, 02:47:26 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?
Although the way you have been dealing with your husband is kind of awful, perhaps you should reconsider. You can't just file for divorce, after all, unless he hurts you or the situation becomes too much to bear. However, if you two can stand it, perhaps you should set aside some time for some honest conversation so that you can let him know how disappointed you are in him and how you are feeling. I believe you can easily forgive, but you cannot easily forget the things he has done to strain the relationship in the family. Given that it's a private matter, you two can have some counseling sessions and advise him that he would lose everything, including you, if he couldn't give up his gambling vices. Scaring our partner is a good way to let them know what's going on sometimes.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: March 03, 2024, 02:10:11 PM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?
It's no longer surprising in view of the fact that there are many religious individuals in the world, as well as the various rules that prohibit us from doing certain things. Instead of debating any theological issue, what matters is that we respect one another and are able to interact peacefully. To respond to your question, I think that other religions have discouraged certain forms of gambling for moral, ethical, and social grounds. Since I am a Catholic, those employed in Catholic ministries are teaching us the importance of accountability, justice, and avoiding harm to oneself or others. For me, I often see gambling as a way to lure us into promoting greed and causing social issues. Although I did not remember that the Bible talks about gambling, it is one of the reasons why people become greedy. I admit that I also gamble, but when there is an occasion, like meeting with friends, we hang out with them, but we rarely do that because sometimes we find it boring and we are just wasting money on it.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was created to reform money and provide financial freedom on: March 03, 2024, 01:03:39 PM
Without the need for established banking institutions, users can send and receive money anywhere in the world, and I believe this would be advantageous for areas with unstable economies or no access to banking services. For example, we may govern our wealth and transactions more effectively and enjoy financial freedom thanks to bitcoin. However, it's possible that some groups or individuals have contradictory opinions about this since they question whether bitcoin will endure into the future generation or if it was only created for our own time. I think that it is reasonable that we could use third parties in order to get some bitcoin so that we can be avoided as targets by people who do bad deeds.

Yes it was created for P2P transfer globally without involvement of any third party but now it is used for P2P only for higher fund transfer as low level transfer are done through Altcoins as the transaction fee for Bitcoin is on higher side for low level transfer.

That's one side of story wherein Bitcoin is users for the purpose it was created and the second aspect is looking at Bitcoin as an investment and more users are interested in this part of Bitcoin wherein they just wants to invest into it.
In addition, there are others who use it solely for bitcoin investments, and they can only make money from it if they can hold onto it for the long run and resist being lured in by the fluctuations in price over time. I mean, how many years do we have to hold onto our bitcoins and keep them there? Because of the benefits that bitcoin offers, I can honestly state that it has a meaningful impact on and changes the lives of other people. However, because of its price volatility, there are drawbacks as well.
