381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet (UPDATE) + fixed match on: August 26, 2022, 11:55:23 AM
snip...

- In my opinion, you did the right thing to follow the advice of others not to take out a loan just to get a large amount, and because you
followed that advice for you, it is a big regret because if you would not listen to the advice to you and you made money, I hope you won
more. It seems like that's what you said before according to my understanding of your story.

Then now you're looking for other bettors who will bet bigger so you can get a bigger win, that's what you want to happen, but do you know
that it's just a game of luck and you just realized that you won that time. So the risk of you thinking that is quite high even with a gambler
that you are looking for in that matter as well.
That it looks like someone is trying to fool us. I know that some people, gamblers are not being that bulgar to show that they are profiting in that strategy. I have no clue but something it was trying to put bait on greedy people and become a victim of their greediness. I couldn't assume or maybe I was wrong but just like what you are thinking now, OP is trying to trick us and pretending that he is okay and earning from betting fixed matches and acted of having an insider to give OP a huge chance to win.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to proper trade in you asset in this market situation? on: August 26, 2022, 11:24:14 AM
OP, if you don't like fluctuations in asset prices then just ignore them and focus on holding your assets long term. That is the best advice for you because basically we never really know when prices go up and down. I don't like day trading, this makes me vulnerable and easily scratched by emotions due to price fluctuations. So a safe choice for me is an investment that I do for the long term.

But somehow I don't know if you'll read this one because I don't see you interested in responding to the thread and more interested in posting the bounty report link at this point.
You're right, people who don't like market fluctuations would be better off holding assets for the long term. it will be safer.
trading with market conditions that are not so good of course it will be difficult to get a profit. especially for those who trade on the spot. maybe different for futures traders because they can still profit in a down market. however, the risk of market fluctuations will remain high.
As we are in the crypto market, we are supposed to adapt to the nature of the market and go along with it. Letting our emotions control us will surely drive us in the wrong direction and gives us losses. I assume that OP is reading this thread back and hoping it changed his mindset and so his market view. And he can choose what would be fit for him and take that option. Because there is no other way to proper trading but just to trust ourselves and carry positivity in mind.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of most prominent altcoins of the moment on: August 26, 2022, 10:35:37 AM
I consider most of the top 10 altcoins in the market. For many years that they are having such gaining potential, I would likely ignore new projects like NFT and metaverses. I'd never make a choice between these hyped projects and much more if they are manipulated. Maybe I was not the smart guy you've ever think but I can't afford to take more risks rather than being certain to the top and known altcoins in the market.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade? on: August 25, 2022, 01:36:59 PM
That depends on how you trade. If you trade without preparation or a trading plan, then you are gambling.Trading involves proper planning and research. When you gamble, you think of being lucky and somehow make money.
I'd just do trading because I know how to do it and certainly don't rely on luck, unlike gambling. If this is what we have in our minds, I simply don't think that anyone who is in trading will ask about this.
And that is because we are performing trading, therefore, we are certainly in trading.
I think OP needs to clear his mind about what he gonna do. because if he thinks he is in trading, then have to prove that he is really doing it well and use all the resources that he has in order not to rely upon luck and still lose.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about Moreno on: August 25, 2022, 11:38:25 AM
Isn't quite new to hear SEC is upsetting many investors due to their strict crypto regulation that brought some projects into a big question. They have XRP and now Monero (XMR) - it was about to think that the government is in the urge to regulate crypto projects because of many scam incidents and it was occurring and increasing. I'd see this having a negative impact on Monero and surely price decline but still believe this never makes this project die, I'd still see a surviving sentiment despite the current issue.
This is how it turns out that privacy coins are more prone to strict regulations.
386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which option will better to take? on: August 25, 2022, 10:58:05 AM
Let this thing Bitcoin become a legal tender and let us see what is the results. Because it was too hard to assume anything in the future that we never have experienced yet. We can't tell if it gives harm to the economy because on the other side, some people are also benefiting from this, and it can be the government as well.

As I see the adoption keeps on growing and many countries are proposing to use this as a legal tender. I'd never imagined what are the negatives thing may contribute but what is think about is all about positives.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: August 24, 2022, 11:34:43 PM
Education is not the only key to success anymore, then we all be believe that, if we don't go to school, we can't make it, the country is something else, we should find all means to be a successful person in life, education is good, but we have to find all means to make it, country which a graduate is riding bike, someone that spend thousands of naira to go to the school, is now riding bike, imagine,

So is always good to invest in once self, than working under someone, which you won't have time for yourself,

Just an advise
Well, you have some point OP but having a good education is more advantage than those who have nothing and this becomes easier for them to succeed.
As you can see around, all the changes that we have seen are because we educate ourselves, we come up with the great idea because of that.
You can find education is useless and that was because we never find a way to use it properly. And what you said it was his/her choice because if he uses his head to look for a job, he never ends up just riding a bike but probably in a decent workplace.
388  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been confused in BTC on: August 24, 2022, 01:39:17 PM
I am very disappointed with the state of Bitcoin in the current market. Because last week its price was 24000 dollars but now it shows 21 thousand dollars. I want to know from you, is the price of Bitcoin likely to fall further?
It was really confusing for a beginner who have missed the chance to check the price chart many years ago. Because if you see it, price fluctuations can be obviously seen and this is why the crypto market has been called a high-risk investment due to uncontrolled market trends. Volatility is hard to deal with for newcomers but if you can adapt to the situation, that was not bothering you why this is happening.

If you can see the price of Bitcoin at $21k today, never expect it will stay that line by tomorrow, changes will come next.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Meme coins going to make it to the next bull market? on: August 24, 2022, 10:10:54 AM
I'd say YES OP even though in the eyes of many these coins are shitcoins and no market potential. It was still going to believe that Dogecoin and Shiba Inu will remain living and surviving despite the negative views they got. Though I don't have any of these coins but have to say that many people are still buying and investing in them, a reason why it is still alive and gaining market demand, especially during their hypes. It is actually people are still benefiting from them even though it take risks.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have bought Bitcoin ? on: August 24, 2022, 09:34:28 AM
It is a big question for myself as well as for the Chancellor, why I have bought Bitcoin ?  The truth is actually I am living on Bitcoin for the last six month on Bitcoin. Some one donated some Bitcoin to me and as I have no income because I am a Monk, so I have spent about $5000 dollars worth of Bitcoin to buy foods and pay for the bills.

This is a real story in my life. Now I have learn about how the Bitcoin can be useful for daily living. I am really thanking to the unknown man who donated a tiny amount of Bitcoin that really helped me over the last 6 months. I have now decided to become a member of this forum and contribute my experience to encourage others to invest in Bitcoin.

I am glad to know the benefits of Bitcoin, I wish, I could have join this forum much earlier.

I run a Charity. I am a Monk. I need some help from the Bitcoin community. I am thankful to all those peoples who thought me about Bitcoin for the last few days.
I have story to tell, how I have come to know the Bitcoin and finally join this community ?

Your intention is great and helpful to the community but it looks like far from your situation as a monk. But you have the right to choose what life you want, it is something that new generations are more focused on the new things like this. Well, if that is not against your group, then welcome to the crypto community as everyone is free to join either.
All you need now is to spend time roaming around, gather some ideas - keep searching/reading in general. And of course, this forum will help you.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana be the next Ethereum??? on: August 23, 2022, 11:35:19 PM
Solana quickly became a favorite among many investors, Does it became the next Ethereum Huh Huh Huh
MIght say it was one of the favorites among altcoins but never put to the extent that it will be the next ETH. Solana still has a lot of things that need to prove its potentiality, not unlike ETH which has been so long in the market and people know how useful it was. But because of the market competition and fees, many projects are able to pop up and even compete with ETH. However, it was a design that ETH is hard to beat by any altcoins - it was still dominating altcoins.
392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin rise again? on: August 23, 2022, 11:37:29 AM
Bitcoin always has great potential for rising again, this is common, so when there is a correction like today then we can use it to buy, I'm sure if we buy now and hold for at least a week then we can get at least 10% profit. it all depends on optimism and by the time it was $21k I had already bought about $1400.
I'm not quite sure why this question has been asked by OP knowing the fact that Bitcoin will have the potential. In fact, for several times that we are in a market struggle, we still see Bitcoin stand strong and recovered.

Well, it was a smart idea to take this moment of buying more and hold. We already know and we are aware of the coming situation that the price went high, the market rises again just like in the past days.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POSSIBLE THINGS TO HELP US TO WIN AT CRYPTO CASINOS on: August 23, 2022, 09:37:43 AM
Look... what was mentioned above is something interesting and even valid.
But in the other hand, this can be relative, because some tactics that work with a certain gambler, may not work for you. It depends from gambler to gambler
When at a gambling place, the strategies used by other people do not guarantee that you can get the same results, so when you want to make a bet, it must be from your own analysis and from the luck that follows you, when your guess is successful then it is your luck because on the spot online gambling if you are aware maybe the user account can get a special sign from the developer if there is a cooperation contract in progress.
Perhaps, we only have 2 possible results win or loss. Things can't be predicted if we win or not due to the fact that playing in casinos relies on luck - may the use of strategies somewhat could help but luck is what we needed most. If we are gambling, we better not expect a lot nor think about winning but rather help yourselves to enjoy while playing as you feel more than winning.
I also heard some are using lucky charms - hope this could help to increase your chance to win OP.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP potential? on: August 22, 2022, 10:28:16 PM
Choosing XRP to hold OP is just a waste of time. You can't make a good profit from this coin and I tell you what, it is because it moves too slow and the volatility of its price is quite low as well. Upon checking on its performance, you can't really say it is performing well. It just remained on the market not in a way the investors used this to hold but for the traders to use this as a saving cost due to very low fees. That only save this project but if we talk about holding, it was not ideal.
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transfer through Cell Phones Possible ? on: August 22, 2022, 10:04:08 PM
It was great to hear BTC transactions can be made offline but that was not the real scenario - it still needs the internet to process. It is only the message confirming the completion of the transactions but not literally we use to make a transfer without internet because that was impossible. And if we are thinking that the use of phones to do this is quite possible but be sure it was connected to the internet and mind also the vulnerability for the hacking. This is just an option but not should be done always.
396  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: August 21, 2022, 01:04:27 PM

If this power can be built, it can also stop those who want to use bitcoin/crypto in terms of money laundering, taxation and other crimes, because the state can completely control the growth of bitcoin, by not being given too much access.
Please correct if I'm wrong
Though El Salvador has bought Bitcoin, a huge amount of it, however, it never means that they have the power to control its price. What they meant is just they failed to urge people from adopting and use this as a form of currency like fiat money. They overthink what will happen after having such regulations implementing Bitcoin as a legal tender, yet people are still in the struggle because they are not familiar with this.
I think they need time to prepare themselves and make other strategies in order to encourage their people to adopt Bitcoin. Not really fail, unless they will quit.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: August 19, 2022, 02:10:16 PM
If we are worried that the market will drop again then the best thing is to immediately move the assets to the coin stable, and today the majority of the top ranking drops of more than 5% so that I also move about 60% my assets to stabilizes coins, I am worried that the storm will continue and By moving the assets to the coin stable, the value will not go down.
It is not the drop that worried the most, what is very concerning now is the growing scams that happen to the market which involve stablecoins. This will create a huge turnaround from the investors who are holding stablecoins and started to sell them for the sake of not getting late before it turn scam. These issues that have been raised nowadays make people think that stablecoins are no longer suitable in the market and rather be dissolved as they no longer provide profit to the invests but instead losses.
398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Average crypto futures trader monthly salary is 9000$-30,000$ on: August 19, 2022, 01:18:37 PM
Future trading is very risky, taking this is somewhat a suicide if you never know about trading. We can really see the figure is huge but think about if this really happens for all futures traders. Doubted yes, and that was because even in spot trading it is hard to get that amount monthly as an average trader, how much more if you are in futures trading? I'd expect more losses rather than earning a good amount unless you are doing this for many years and called yourself an expert.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance want the best for crypto space on: August 19, 2022, 11:02:33 AM
The binance team have done it again, they have recovered 80% of the lost fund from Curve Finance, the hacker thought no one was watching but he is wrong, every new crypto exchange needs to learn from binance exchange.

https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/binance-recovers-more-than-80-of-funds-stolen-in-curve-finance-attack
In order for them to survive the competition and sustain their market demand, they need to keep their reputation even stronger and develop quality services for their clients. And I think every exchange is hoping for the best of the crypto world as this is their business, unless if they are a scam exchange. But as what Binance did to the crypto space, the more it made a profit in returns for the absolute and constant development.
But what I can say is that Binance simply do the right things to keep them worthy enough to trust especially in things like this - hacking incidents.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 19, 2022, 10:24:07 AM
Crime doesn't happen because of the Btc they use for money laundering, because I think crime happens how the person's intentions are, Fiat can also be done for money laundering if the person has bad intentions and wants to do money laundering. So whatever the form of Btc or Fiat, if the intention is bad, anything can be done. Think positive in any form, it happens because there are bad intentions and what they have planned for evil.
Indeed, right.
Money laundering already existed many years ago using fiat money before Bitcoin comes. However, many people see the potential use of Bitcoin to easily make such evil things without getting easily tracked by the authorities. As people become anonymous here, even the transactions got caught but only a few people have been found guilty and put in prison. This is the reason why criminals had used this as a medium for their major transactions unnoticed and went successfully.
