741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 09, 2022, 09:25:38 AM
Wouldn't it be suspend because of the Russia invasion? many sports league already removed Russia in their competition but the WBO does not yet? or they doesn't care about politics? In this match I think I would go in Alvarez, I see his previous matches and I think he can't easily beat by Bivol though Bivol doesn't have much professional boxing career his previous career in non professional boxing is great too. This is very exciting match.
I hope it will not be suspended, we have not seen Canelo having a fight this year yet unlike last year when he fight 3 times in a year IIRC. Sports should not be mixed with politics as its main purpose is just entertainment, so I hope we will see our expectations.

Same here, even without the fact that we haven't seen Canelo fighting this year, I do hope that this fight will continue and not just this fight but for other Russian Athletes as well that have some games or fight scheduled even before the implementation was posted. These industries is for sports and entertainment, and not for politics. They should've let the elected country leaders deal with it.

Anyways, did you guys saw the viral news about Vladimir Putin's statement for FIFA? If not, here it is.
Quote
FIFA must not enter into war politics, The National Football team of Russia will play FIFA World Cup in Qatar, or there won’t be WORLD CUP at all” -Putin

That statement is very positive, it's a go on his side but hopefully the same on the side of other countries or the organizers of the boxing event. When politics will come into the picture, everything will become biased and that will kill the excitement. Just let them fight, at least in times of war we can still entertain ourselves.

Indeed, it was. It is just really unfair for these boxers and other athletes to be treated this way and be banned from certain games just because their president started an invasion and war in the far north. I mean, c'mon! They're aren't taking part on the war, they are just here to make money while entertaining people.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 08, 2022, 05:30:09 PM

Butler could choose to fight with another fighter but he would not win a belt because the belt was not taken from Casimero, that's why Butler just choose to wait just to have a shot on the title by fighting the defending champion.
He got that option but he choose to wait for this big break for his career.

It's a title fight and worth waiting. If he manages to take Casimero down, he will hype up his name and the changes in his career will be
big, I see the point of not choosing to fight with another boxer.

The belt is the most important one for any fighters who step inside the ring. They wanted fame and afterwards, the money
that will be behind the belt that they've got.

Exactly, without a belt, no champion would be interested to fight a fighter unless he attracts the crowd and the fight could generate a lot of money. Meanwhile, I read a rumor that the Donaire vs Inoue rematch is targeted this year, April to be particular, so maybe the winner of that fight could face the winner of this fight.

Righ! That belt is used as a label that the boxer who is carrying it is a champion of that specific division and that same belt also attracts the people that leads to the money.
I also read about that earlier this year that Donaire and Inoue would do a rematch as both camps is also interested about it and currently having talks about it but as time passed by, it didn't materialized and there's no update about it at all.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 08, 2022, 05:05:21 PM
Philadelphia 76ers v Chicago Bulls is really like a playoff game. Each one of them is doing an amazing job in this season. And my expectation level from each of them is quite high truthfully. Especially 76ers are really promising for the playoffs and even the title. I also believe that Harden has made a huge contribution to the team already now. The Harden - Embiid duo is going to be really great in the playoffs too hopefully. And when it comes to this game, I believe in 76ers to destroy their competitor.

Sixers are a healthy team, so they should have an advantage in this game.

However, the Bulls are on a losing streak, so for sure they'll play hard enough to stop the bleeding and if that will happen, we will certainly see a very entertaining game. For the Bulls, looks like Vucevic is not going to play while  Ball and Caruso are still out.

That's what makes them a tough team to beat in the whole league, and with Harden now playing beside Embiid, they sure looks an unstoppable duo like the Splash Bros.
The Bulls now lost 5 games straight and they're really struggling because Ball and Caruso are still injured and now Vucevic is added to that list of injured. Hopefully they can at least win some more games because they are now in danger to get a secure spot in the playoffs as the Cavs and Celtics is just a few games away from them.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 08, 2022, 04:16:15 PM
The difference here is when Pacman fought against the task at that time even though Pacman was superior but at the age he reached his final age which was indeed fatal because even though he was a good boxer but age would not lie for that, But now it's different, Spence still has enough time with an age that can be said to be a mature age for a boxer. He is a great person and very fair when in this fight he is quite the seed
Exactly, though Pacman had a good win against Thurman in 40's, we cannot deny that we saw him slowed down already compared to his previous fights when he was still younger. The only thing that puzzles me is why Pacman still makes an excuse after he lost to Ugas on a one-sided decision, and later realizes that he cannot do boxing anymore so he retired.

Now, the fans has a little respect to Ugas because of that excuse and they don't think he can beat a younger and a stronger champion of Spence.

Some fans maybe, but even if he beats Pacman convincingly, I still believe that he will remain as the underdog in his fight against Spence. Remember that when the line was out on the Pacman vs Spence, Spence was the favorite to win. Let's not stress out our speculation on that, let's just wait until the fight will happen and see who's gonna win, my vote goes to Spence obviously.

Yes, maybe for some other fans. But for me I can't just give an easy credit to Ugas just because he defeated Manny Pacquaio who is also aging, I mean it was just a UD. I would really praise Ugas if he knockout Pacquaio, IMO. In this fight, if I were to compare the stats then Ugas is surely the underdog compared to Spence Jr. But I will still let the man (Ugas) give the benefit of the doubt and see if he can upset Spence Jr. here.

746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 08, 2022, 03:20:41 PM
None of his good friends wants to see him fight again at this age, Dana White even said that to the face of Mike Tyson in one of the interview that he does not want to see him compete again even for fun.

And Dana White is right. Even though I would love to see Mike Tyson in the ring, we must realize that he has already taken a lot of hits to the head in his life. There is a very high probability that each subsequent one could cause irreversible consequences. Fortunately, we have video recordings of Tyson's fights (although of poor quality), but they will have to be enough for us.

As for Logan Paul, he for sure have earned enough by simply making fuss around a possible fight with Mike Tyson, so he should be happy.

Dana has a point, and this point that he's aging it's too risky for him because he yes might have that experience but we couldn't neglect the consequence because his body might not take it anymore. Mike Tyson have done enough in the industry, he doesn't have to fight anymore and he will be a legend that no one can argue. The following generations that doesn't know him can always look at some fights he did.

Indeed, Logan Paul surely monetized just from making a nonsense fuss. No doubt about that!
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 07, 2022, 03:53:29 PM
Its a must for him to set aside his personal problem and focus on this fight. Its been delayed for months already due to his health issue so this time he needs to give his best to defend his title.
if this issue distracts him from his training and his fight it could cause him to lose his title belt and probably his chance of fighting Inoue. it would be a shame if that happened.
It will distract him if he is guilty, if not them he would not mind it as he is confident he will win the case.

That will have an effect on his preparations. Schedules of the hearing might be a waste of time for his fight preparations, either he's supposed to be training or resting during that day. This will not only cause him physical distractions, but mentally as well.
It doesn't mean that you are falsely accused and you're automatically confident because you can win it. Court trials are tricky af. You could be jailed and pay for some moral damages if your lawyer failed to defend your case.

He has to face that challenge, but if he is really trained well, there should be no problem during the fight night. The problem is already their, facing it is the only solution, besides, if he wins this case, he could counter the lawsuit to clean his name and let the accuser pay for the damages done to his reputation.

Any updates about this? I searched it on the internet but there's no update about it. Maybe they had fixed it already and paid the damages or whatsoever even if Casimero isn't proven guilty because as you guys said, it would take most of his time to attend trials in courts instead of preparing or resting so it's also possible that they've paid the complainant to cool down the issue.
If not then he should deal with it sooner because knowing the justice system in the Philippines, most of the time, they will side with the victim especially when it's about rape or sexual abuse. I hope this case against him will cease as soon as possible if Casimero is indeed not really guilty about it because I'm afraid he will be jailed just like Albert Pagara.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 07, 2022, 01:49:41 PM
"Desperation." Said Lebron James while being interviewed.
Yes, I think that's the right word for it, and what better team to win a game is against a struggling Warriors. Lebron put a show with 56 points 6/11 behind the arc. He almost did it all because they badly need a win after their long streak of losses.

It was really clear though, indeed desperation is the right word to describe him today. I was really shocked and amazed that LeBron really pushed the limit just to carry the team and win against the struggling Warriors, and actually they really need a win on this one and to more upcoming games if they want to get a seat on the playoffs. Other than that, I really admire Austin Reaves because aside from LeBron, he is also doing and giving his best every games and he is really hungry to win.

Yeah, that's how we describe the Lakers predicament now, they are indeed very desperate and I would say also pressure at this point that they have to win regardless of who the opposing team is. And it just so happen that the warriors are in a slumped so they become the victims of Lebron James monster game. I think Reaves is one of the most underrated players in Lakers because every night you can see this kid trying to improved at both ends of the court specially in defense.

Indeed! Well, in the first place it is their fault because they are being inconsistent almost every game and relied heavily on their superstars. They really felt the difficulty every game to win especially when AD was still injured earlier this season and WB was still trying to knock some sense (or so I thought). Yes, Reaves is underrated but if you look closely he is really efficient in defense and can also shoot 3's and long 2's.
Tomorrow they will face the Spurs, and if they can't even win this one then it is really too late for them to get a seat in the playoffs.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: March 07, 2022, 11:41:46 AM
That's exactly why DOTA 2 is still one of the most popular online games these days especially in South East Asia regions, you can always see a lot of gamers playing DOTA 2 with different age brackets. Bringing a new patch or updates makes the game more interesting as there will be some new twist of items/skills or combo than can defy stronger heroes before the patch.
I used to play this game way back when it is just DOTA 1 until it became DOTA2 and that was when I'm still studying but now, I can only afford to watch livestreams when I have some time because I have a lot more things to do than playing.
I thought before that updates were useless and not needed but I've come to understand that it's one important feature and factor when we play.

It adds up to the strategy that we're coming up so that everyone is going to build new meta and strategies from those updates and changes that has been made.

By the way, Gamers Galaxy champ is Boom Esports.

It usually depends because most of the time they're just fixing some bugs or sometimes upgrading some graphics on the map, just some minor adjustments that needs update so that gameplay will be more smooth to the players.
But the most important ones are those who got some upgrade on skills or items, so if you didn't play just a day or two after the patch then you're more likely getting bullied in the game until you adjusted to it.

They deserved to be the champion, and they got a revenge for the Tundra for dropping them in the lower bracket.
750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 07, 2022, 11:15:56 AM
Really wish we can just finally see Spence fight Crawford.  That would be an epic fight.  Expecting Spence to take care of business here.  Hopefully they can work out the fight details to get the Crawford match done.  Would be one of the fights of the year if they can make it happen.

The possibility for that to happen is high if Spence will win this fight. There's no other opponent left for Spence to unify all the belts but only Terence Crawford. They can do it in September after the April bout between Spence and Ugas.

But I don't hype anymore with Crawford vs Spence due to lots of delays that happened to make that official.

Rooting for Ugas to win the fight as it's more entertaining to see an upset.

I think even if Spence will lost this fight they still have a huge chance to negotiate and make this fight to happen since we know Spence still one of the most anticipated fighter and pairing him up with Crawford will be a huge event in the making. For sure their promoters want this also to happen since there are huge amount of money can they get for that fight.

For now Spence need to stay focus on his fight since Ugas is a big threat for his career.
He shouldnt really take Ugas lightly or else that would really be the biggest mistake that he would do on his career on which would might result into his first loss.

I might really be that too optimistic but he shouldnt really be that too easy on Ugas and he might really able to experience some upset on this match.
Promoters or organization will surely go for fights which would really be generating much hype because that means lots of money to generate on.

There's no need to hype this fight, Ugas and Spence are both popular in boxing, and for sure they'll be able to make it a profitable fight now that the restrictions are also lightened, more PPV and more gate entrance is expected. What is only not expected is Ugas to upset Spence, but let's still see if it's possible.

It's really exciting because more people will now be able to witness this fight live. It's challenging for them especially for Ugas but the good thing is, they have been preparing for this match for a long time already. To be honest, it's quite unpredictable because both of them are too promising inside the ring.

Yes, we now have 1 more month left to wait for this fight to happen and for sure this will be an intense and entertaining fight as both boxers have prepared well. Spence Jr was the heavy favorite among the bookies and it is somehow expected that he will defeat Ugas via KO or UD. But we already know that Ugas isn't an easy opponent to deal with and he have a history of upsetting fights, just like what he did to Manny Pacquiao.
751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need more more to invest on crypto. on: March 06, 2022, 05:29:47 PM

-snip-
you do not need to hold that money just because you think it was still small to invest but any amount would already do since that small amount can still grow huge as soon as btc starts pumping again. It is only hard to buy if your pressured to buy in a short duration of time and most especially if you do not have a money yet.
That's right, Bitcoin investment is a flexible investment. No matter how much money we have, we can invest in Bitcoin.
And I totally agree with your opinion, first determine the belief. Because Bitcoin investment does take time, it's the same as investing anywhere.

If indeed the OP hopes for a quick or short term investment in Bitcoin then trading is the solution, but if what is meant is investment for long term then it does take time to get big profits, and by accumulating when the Bitcoin price drops is the best way to invest in Bitcoin.

Yes, exactly! You cannot talk about cryptocurrency without even mentioning bitcoin as it's been the most famous among all cryptocurrency and been proven by time that it can really give you a competitive returns if your patient enough to wait. But like the OP said, he/she wanted a quick or short term investment then I recommend to try the leading altcoins like BNB, ETH, and ADA. And if that doesn't still work out for the OP then yes crypto trading will his best option for that, though it's much more risky.

753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 06, 2022, 09:16:36 AM
The fact is that Mike is too old to be fighting.  Sure, he could still kick nearly everyone's ass, but the risk of injury or permanent health issues is too much for someone in his position to risk.

Tyson said he was a recovering drug addict, that alone would exclude him from qualifying in most mainstream fights.   Putting the body through that kind of strain can force a serious injury or possibly even cardiac incident, a famous sportsman just died at 53 not far off Tyson's age.    Add in normal injuries that occur like all the areas around the eye that are easily damaged and age its not worth the risk.   From the time on he said he was in recovery I thought it became quite impossible and he gets paid enough just to talk about old fights why risk losing health for money.

When it comes to Mike's cocaine problems, he has spoken about it many times, and he firmly says it's in the past. At the moment, he admits to only smoking marijuana. However, at the moment it doesn't matter as much as just how old he is. No one doubts that Mike still has great abilities and huge experience, but let's not forget that this is a heavy weight. There are no weak players in this weight, and even one not very strong hit could be fatal for any 54-year-old. Even for Iron Mike.

I have also no doubt that Mike's punches are still fatal and he still have that strength to knock out any opponent he takes if he's given a chance, but again he already spoke that his boxing business is over.
Yes he is been open about his addiction in the past, the fact that he's letting people and the public know about that means that he have gone through past that addiction already. And now, yes he is into marijuana only as he also have his own marijuana business called Tyson Ranch.

LOL, Keith Thurman? no way that Donaire is going to face a big guy at 147 lbs, so 100% this is not true mate, I don't know where you get your sources.

What we want for Casimero is Inoue, I doubt that him and Donaire will face each other since they are now on the same promotional company and seems to patch up things already.
I search "Donaire vs Thurman" on google and I don't find any single source mentioned that's rumor, pretty sure he's either confuse some divisions or mentioned wrong name. Yeah, if two boxer with same national fight each other, it doesn't have a lot hype and popular. I thought this fight already ended, but checked the date it will happen on the next month lol. I'd interested to see Casimero fight with Inoue rather than the rematch Donaire vs Inoue.

I also did the same thing, I searched them and it showed no match but instead I did discover that Keith's future opponent will be Errol Spence or Terence Crawford however it is still not clear because Crawford is also planning to climb another division.
Yes it's not that also exciting if indeed a fight of Casimero against Donaire will happen as they have the same nationality, it's much better if it is Casimer vs Inoue.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 05, 2022, 10:16:43 AM
All eyes are on the 76ers tomorrow since they haven't tasted a single loss since Embiid and Harden played together, it seems like they are the ones who won the trade and continue to dominate the Eastern Conference. they are 4 wins away to get to the number one spot given that the Heat will lose their next games. But that would depend on tomorrow's games vs the 76ers. I'm glad to see such teams giving all they can to continue to dominate the league and finally they are meant to play against each other to show everyone who's the real deal.

Seems like it! 76ers are on a winning streak now, 4 times in a row to be exact. 76ers is already tough one to beat but they got even stronger and tougher when Harden arrives on Philly, he was really a good additional to the team and an exact missing piece in the puzzle. Many have speculated that this trade will be a mess but it turns out that they are the one who won the trade, I think no one could argue about that.

On tomorrows match against the Cavaliers, I have no doubt that 76ers could still dominate them.
Certainly, Cavaliers are on a 2 game loss and it's a bit surprising after they made the trend at the first half of the season. They can also win streaks but somehow they loss touch and became unpredictable again. I think 76ers could handle the spread even at -10 if Harden will have his best night again.
Maybe another triple double for the Beard and over 30 points for Embiid would seal it.

And the 76ers have won the game against the Cavaliers, making this their 5th win streak. Final Score: 125-119
Cavaliers have been leading with 10+ points in the first half but then Maxey and Embiid got hot in the 3rd quarter chasing the Cavs and cut the lead by 5. Maxey is on the spotlight today, making lot of threes and made 33 points.
756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: March 05, 2022, 08:39:49 AM
The chance of GGG vs Canelo III is very slim, if both parties are willing to fight each other again, then the fight could have happened a long time ago. I understand that we want to see that great fight again as the last 2 fights were all controversial, at least for the fans of GGG who think he could have won at least one of the two fights.

I'm just trying to be realistic here but of course, I'd love to see that happen again.
I know that people want to watch a third edition between GGG and Canelo but it is not going to happen, GGG fights in the middleweight division which goes from 154 to 160 lbs however Canelo is moving to the cruiserweight division which goes from 175 to 200 lbs.

So as you can see the weight differential is simply too big, so either GGG moves to super middleweight or even light cruiserweight or Canelo will have to change his plans and instead of going to a heavier division move to a lighter one, something that is rare because as boxers mature they tend to move to the divisions above their weight and not to one or two divisons below their current weight.

The possibility is still there about this trilogy with Canelo. The last statement from this article (https://www.boxingscene.com/golovkin-on-fights-with-canelo-people-who-thought-i-lost-comfortable-being-delusional--164305) says that Canelo is "nearing a two-fight deal with DAZN, the second of which would potentially involve Golovkin", so yes, there's possibility of this GGG-Canelo III. But both camps should talk about in what weight division they will be fighting. I guess, this will be retirement match for GGG in case it will push thru. He's not happy with the results of those first 2, but don't know if he has that power to overcome Canelo.
I had not read that article and it seems the possibility of a third fight between GGG and Canelo is higher than ever, lets see if they can make it happen, after all as you state the results of the two fights did not leave GGG happy and many fans shared that opinion as I think that GGG at least won one of those fights.

However now it would be more difficult to overcome Canelo as he is now stronger and smarter than what he was back then, so without a doubt it would not be an easy fight for GGG if the fight comes to happen.

Well I guess this time it is more closer from reality that a fight between GGG and Canelo will happen this year if only both camps will agree to the terms/deal that have been made and of course after they defeat their each present opponent which is Ryota Murata and Dmitry Bivol, respectively. Somehow, that is also true that GGG wasn't happy about their last meeting but it is also GGG who is vocab and wanting a trilogy.

Either way, at least GGG has been granted the fight that he wanted and I really do think that GGG is the one who can keep up with Canelo.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: March 05, 2022, 07:32:17 AM
This fight won't even happen. Not now , not in the future or ever. This was just an idea of quick money grabbing and in my opinion , boxing is a dying sport right now and it's sad but true.

Regarding this event, I would be ashamed of me if I was Logan Paul ...just to have the guts to challenge the Iron Tyson says a lot about this new generations of boxers who barely have respect for the sport or his opponent or veterans.

It is already safe to assume that this won't happen in the near future because Mike Tyson also said that he won't be stepping on the boxing ring anymore to fight, either if it is sanctioned or not sanctioned by the Athletic Commission. This supposed fight was just a hype and there's no actual negotiations happened.
As for Logan Paul, I really don't call him or include him in the "new generation of boxers" or even a professional boxer. He doesn't deserved it!

The Nets are playing again today. Still no Ben Simmons in the lineup but Kevin Durant is returning from injury so that’s one piece falling into place. Hopefully Ben Simmons hits the floor soon as well. I can’t wait to see how he fits in with KD and Kyrie.
Ben Simmons is dealing with back soreness according to some news articles.

The return of KD is definitely a good news but facing the Heat isn't right after injury isn't. I'm not sure how many playing time the coach would give him but I hope they take it easy for now.

Yes, Simmons is not expected to play for at least 2 weeks due to back soreness. He was first scheduled to make his debut in Nets uniform this March 10 against his former team, 76ers.

I really thought that the Nets will bounce back today because KD is back and after losing 2 games in a row, KD made 31 points but he couldn't just handle the Heats movement by himself and he needs Irving on this one.

I agree with you, also from what is seen in the case I think that this is going much longer in the long term, since he is a person who attracts a lot of attention and the fans do not believe that he is guilty (me neither) being like that, As you say, I would like to see him in action with Inoue, and maybe before this possible fight, if it affects him a little, because even though he is a human being, psychologically he can see himself as singled out by others and can be affected in his fight, I hope not, but it can affect, at least emotionally
I hope not too. I am not trying to discredit the accuser of the sexual assault but it is not the first time an athlete has been accused of sexual misconduct in order to get money from the athlete.

I got curious about the case and looked for an update regarding it but it seems that there hasn't been any update on it yet.

I think there's nothing to worry about Casimero's case because he is not that concerned and affected too. I bet he was just a victim because he was more famous now and maybe the alleged victim was so updated about his life that's why she has targeted Casimero. But yes, this case will likely be dismissed anyway even if it would take long, and as long as Casimero's team can clear his name.

Same here, I guess the issue isn't that too important than his upcoming fight. Or maybe, the case have been dismissed due to lack of evidence Cheesy

Yes, every Russian athletes have been affected by the war between the two countries.

So there is a chance that this fight won't happen unless the war is over. So we will see how everything will turn out, of course we wanted to see this fight, it's surely a very interesting one specially that Canelo will fight an unbeaten Russian fighter. But it is what it is, if the governing body is not going to sanction this, then  the fight won't simply happen.
US said they are not against the Russian people but only against Putin, so I don't see any reason to blame other people and to treat them like they are the one who started the war, so let's hope this fight will push through because Canelo is already all set for this trilogy and the contract is too huge, he can't afford to lose on this one.

Bivol is a good boxer, but I still see Canelo has the advantage here and might take the bell, this is just 2 months away, let's see if they are going to treat Bivol as a boxer and not as Russian who many people already throw hate to ordinary Russians.

Yet the sports industry are banning these Russian athletes to participate their respective sports, same as this fight, the news is that WBO will not sanction this fight. So I guess this won't be a championship fight anymore if Canelo and Bivol will continue the fight. Anyway, we are still on the month of March and the scheduled fight will be on the month of May, so there could still be some changes along the way.

I'm still rooting for this fight to continue and hopefully it will be sanctioned by the governing bodies, so that after this we can also watch Canelo vs GGG.
