They can make like 500 units per day, these will run a 24-hour burn-in test, so they will be constantly mining with 500 pcs of jalapenos/40Ghs/1TH machines. At 400X3.5G+80X40G+20X1TH.....
1400k+3200k+20000k=24600k Mh/s=$106,863.96 a day?? Huh

Check my calculation please, someone?

what about-
He violation his parole.

---------------"The defendant shall not transfer, sell, give away, or otherwise convey any asset with a fair market value in excess of $500 without approval of the Probation Officer until all financial obligations imposed by the Court have been satisfied in full."
Did he sell, give away, convey? Or not? If so, with or without approval? What do you know that we don't?

I'd like to go, but I'm pretty sure I'm not that well known.

I'll nominate yochdog. He's a miner, seems pretty well known, has BFL FPGAs, and has traded tens of thousands of dollars with forum members including a few thousand with me. I'd trust his report.

I would be willing to make the trip if BFL will have me.
I vote for yochdog and sunbreak.

at 0.48  "full-custom asics, etc

Quote
By the way, BFL doesn't use the phrase "full custom" to mean the same thing it means in the industry.

We don't?  Please elaborate. (I'm serious, I'm not being snarky.  If we/I am using it incorrectly, then I would like to use the proper term.)

Standard-cell ASICs and synthesis-flow ASICs are not considered full-custom chips.

The phrase "fully custom" is a BFL-ism that sounds a lot like "truthiness" Smiley  In fact the third google hit for "fully custom asic" on the entire interweb is BFL which ought to be a hint that it is a contortion of the usual industry terminology...

This guy should have been the COO of the company and not Inaba (BFL_Josh).  This is how a rational and well spoken C-level person should speak. Hearing someone speak like this from the company, makes me more confident that the thousands of dollars I have invested with them is going to a rational company.

+1000
You will never know how his reactions are going to be before you will throw the same garbage at him as a lot here threw at Inaba (BFL_Josh). I had to sign up here just to get that ignore button working, because topics were hardly readable with every second post coming from some foul-mouthing idiot calling scam scam scam at least.

Good to see the community is finally starting to look out for itself.

It's a pity that this due diligence wasn't done until after BFL took so many pre-orders.  This community needs to learn to do its research before blindly handing over money to new players.
BFL_Josh repeatedly said pre-orders could be cancelled and money paid returned. Don't think many will ask. You? Did you order there?

BFL are from the real world, they proved that already. Never seen them promising free money, like that boat guy.

Sonny, thanks for your story.

Seems like all these so-called asics producers want your money before they even have produced a single asic-miner at all? And if you do not get involved now, either way you never get one that will pay itself back in a reasonable time, or will have to pay almost double the pre-order price when waiting.

EXACTLY
They are counting on that to make you pay them formidable amounts of money without any securing, and all the mentioned above points.
I am beginning to believe that ASICs and particularly BFL will be the Next New Old Ponzi Scheme.
Cross our fingers and lets hope for the best! Smiley
No, don't think so. Quite a setup, making and selling singles and mini-rigs with fpga tech, all also pre-payed and (being) delivered? Then promising asics and run off with the money? What about those other fpga sellers coming with asics on pre-order pre-pay, their own scam, or maybe set up by bfl as a smokescreen? We'll see, I'm not worried a bit, would order some 40Gh/s SC's now if I had more money.

Is sonny going to make his previous victims whole ?

That's what the justice system is supposed to do.

Ripping off little old ladies then being free and clear to raise millions of dollars while his victims live off noodles because he stole their pension money isn't justice at all.
You are joking, right? I though they just played, or supposed they did play, in foreign lotteries? If that puts you on a noodle diet, you have to blaime yourself.
I liked the "little old ladies" part though.

it was the same with their fpga's and they did deliever.
i am not afraid Wink
I'm not afraid too, because as you mentioned they did deliver those fpga's. I ordered 6 pcs of the Jalapeno first week of August btw.
I will order an Avalon from ngzhang too but not early, unless they make 'm $700 more expensive than the pre-order as they say. It will be a single SC from BFL than, or 2, if they are still around by then.  Roll Eyes

Smiley
