It is, check the link after "Asked before, but not answered, yet."

They mention you can switch your jalapeno order to a little sc but don't mention if the expected ship date is the same as the jalapeno.. Which really is the main question.
They did.
Q: OK so does that mean the "Little Single" will be available at the same time the Jalapeno is available?
A bfl_josh:  Yes, they should all be available at the same time. We will have an order page up for the "little" single soon.

Someone posting after that mentions: Jody has said on her blog that no Little Singles will ship until all the orders are filled up to September 30th. Little clarity?

lol you ass hat that was posted 30 minutes ago.. nice try being a smart ass.
lol   anyhow, from the 1/3 shipping plan:
"Since the "Little" Single SC unit is a new product, not included in the first preorder phase, all SC orders up to and including orders placed on September 30th, 2012 will be assembled and shipped prior to shipping any NEW orders of the "Little" Single SC. UPGRADE orders will be shipping in the order received for your original order that you upgraded from, 1/2 for FIFO and 1/2 random from all orders."

I don't think your math is right. Currently there are roughly 7200 bitcoins generated per day, if 10000 equal powered asics were to compete (disregarding everything else), that is less than 1 bitcoin per day per unit.

And given the reward drop, it's going to be less than half a bitcoin per day before these ship. So you're looking at 10+ years at current rates to break even.

It's possible... lets check:

here are my numbers for a current BFL mini-rig.

Total Hash Rate:25000 MH/s @d= 2864140.507811
Average time to find one block: 5.70 days
Average daily revenue: 8.77949578 BTC ($111.68)
Average daily commissions/donations: 0.00000000 BTC ($0.00)
Average daily electricity cost: $10.08 (0.79245345 BTC)

Average daily profit: 7.98704233 BTC ($101.60)

vs SC rig after 40x difficulty increase

Total Hash Rate:1500000 MH/s @d= 114565620.31244
Average time to find one block: 3.80 days
Average daily revenue: 13.16924368 BTC ($167.51)
Average daily commissions/donations: 0.00000000 BTC ($0.00)
Average daily electricity cost: $12.60 (0.99056682 BTC)

Average daily profit: 12.17867686 BTC ($154.91)

Please use the calculator of your own choice. . .
Forgot block reward halving, will happen before the difficulty increases 40x?

I'm not intrigued by what any of you have to say. Its all heat and no light.

A form of mental masturbation.
As your post is.

Ok,so the jally is going to use 4.5 watts, this is what I found out about USB 2.0,tell me if I'm correct:

Besides a data link, USB provides 5 +/- 0.25 volts to power an otherwise unpowered device or charge a battery in a self powered device.
A USB controller or hub is required to power one unit load (100 mA, a low power load). It can optionally power up to 5 unit loads (500 mA, a high power load).
The spec is silent about intermediate loads, so I assume that the sources deal with just the two cases.
Either a load is low power (like a keyboard or a mouse) or high power (like an iPod or PDA).

500 milliamps = one half amp (1000 ma per amp).

So, .5 amps x 5 volts=2.5 watts. We'll definitely be needing those dual USB cables won't we  Roll Eyes

I know there's a thread about this somewhere,but couldn't find it,sorry  Sad

What USB hubs are good enough for this application (running multiple Jallies),I've never had a need for these,so I'm unsure of what powered hub requirements are needed.
Maybe BFL makes them run at say 2.5 volts? So there's room for a higher wattage?

Never got the activation email, not in the spam folder too. Changed my email address in portal's setting, and behold, an activation email arrived.

What is the action to take when the activation email never arrived?

No confirmation mail, not in the junk folder, can log in, can't reply on anything.

To Slok

learn to read documents, and then speak.
Contrary to what the public records seem to indicate, he's not the CEO of BFL - Sonny Chris Vleisides is not the CEO, Chris Vleisides (his stepfather) is the President (as opposed to his natural father, James Ray Houston, who was listed on the indictment) and Nasser Ghoseiri is the CEO - the confusion is understandable what with all the similar names, step and biological fathers and BFL's seeming hatred of titles. Sonny is an upper-level executive within the company, but he's not the absolute head, nor is his stepfather.

So, learn to read yourself, then speak, mister lawyer.

...so they will be constantly mining with 500 pcs of jalapenos/40Ghs/1TH machines.

I think that they are building 0 ASIC mining rigs a day.....  Smiley
Soon king_pin, soon. Production starts next week.  Grin
420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think that there is something funny about BFL's new ASIC on: September 26, 2012, 11:49:57 PM
They can make like 500 units per day, these will run a 24-hour burn-in test, so they will be constantly mining with 500 pcs of jalapenos/40Ghs/1TH machines. At 400X3.5G+80X40G+20X1TH.....
1400k+3200k+20000k=24600k Mh/s=$106,863.96 a day?? Huh

Check my calculation please, someone?
I'd drop that figure to about 1/5.  No way they're building 20 minirigs a day.

But even assuming they are, compare the price of those (assumed) hardware pieces compared to the mining revenue.

400 x $150 + 80 x $1300 + 20 x $30000 = $764,000 selling price.

So, even if they make $107k/day mining, it still wouldn't make up a substantial portion of their revenues.  And that $107k wouldn't last long either - as more of the units are released into the wild, that revenue would drop to maybe $10k/day, if that.

I'm not particularly happy that BFL is choosing to mine on the main net, but I'm not going to cancel my order over it either.
Neither am I. But it will take maybe a month at full production to catch up all pre-orders (as they said they want to send out an as big as possible first batch), plus the ones coming in once people see they really deliver. In the video shot at the conference bfl guy said they wanted to build a 6000pcs stock, and produce to the point where they can take next-day-delivery orders. I also wish they just use a testnet.
