881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: November 27, 2016, 06:38:10 PM
If people don't spend bitcoins, the coin will eventually crash. Simple.

But I do not see that happening; people who work abroad and need to transfer some money home, use bitcoins to avoid the high bank transfer charges.

I think one major reason people will continue to use bitcoin is the ability to evade currency conversion fees.

I thought so, if there is no circulation of bitcoin then it's nothing, for a while (< a week) the price may increase but for several days later people on merchants/shops will begin to wonder about bitcoin as currency, why no one use it as payment. Luckily, it won't ever happen as people always sell it buy bitcoin according to market situation.

Without circulation, the bitcoin will be like most other scam coins, the value will be close to zero. So it is better to use it.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: November 21, 2016, 02:22:59 PM
If no one spends bitcoin and they will just keep all their bitcoins then it will be a price changer because there is not supply that will be on the cycle like on the market so the only thing that will happen is buying bitcoins and not selling it, So the stocks or supply will be fewer than before and since no one is spending bitcoin it will make the price higher and higher day after day.

That is right. The value of the bitcoin lies in the circulation. If it is not useful as a currency, the price is low.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: October 26, 2016, 04:42:12 PM
Well the only time that will only happen is when its value goes to 0. I can't see a world currently we live in which will no one spend bitcoin, Because Bitcoin is related to the internet where there is internet there will also be Bitcoin. Look at how online shops now they also accept bitcoin and there are gambling sites in which the currency they use are Bitcoin.

I agree with that. If there is nobody spending the bitcoin, it is useless. It can be regarded as waste paper and useless.

The Baikal has a few reviews around, it appears to be legitimate.

There is the question of "will it ever ROI" as usual though, given the fairly rapid increase in X11-based coin difficulties since it and the other 2 X11-capable ASIC were introduced.

It might not ROI. The X11 economy is too small for too many ASIC. There is big chance for not ROI.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the average life of a mining rig? on: September 30, 2016, 05:31:06 PM
Got some 280x's still going for almost 3 years 24/7 temp 80 degrees 70% fan. Fans did stiffen up after about 2 years... I just spray some wd40 in them carefully when it happens and they are good as new again!

Ps. Wd40 is not recommended I belive machine oil is but... I've not had any problems so far... just made sure I didn't use too much so it would leak or get it on the gpu board.

WD is not good for high temperature operation. You need some grease like those used in the bike or car.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out the optimal network fee for transaction? on: September 21, 2016, 06:50:20 AM
I have the Core Client. There is a recommended fee slide. You can set the fee to get confirmed in certain blocks.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how much vga can i use in 1 computer/windows/linux ? on: September 07, 2016, 01:17:15 PM
For the AMD cards on the windows, the maximum GPU you can have is 8 in a system. In linux, you can have more.

i remember that a mod can allow you to have more than  8, or is that mod that allow you maximum of 8 gpu? but also isn't dangerous to have that many for the motherboard, it can not sustain that wattage

i have plan to buying msi z87 g45 (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z87-G45-GAMING.html) 7slot pcie for vga, then buying 7 tool to push the limit vga to 21vga, it's posible or not ? so in 1 rig i will use 21vga ? because with this method i can save some amount for not buying new processor and motherboard.

21 gpu is crazy no motherboard will detect that lol, also like i said there will be power problem, i would not do that too much risk imho, and anyway ihow you will connect 3-4 psu together to power all those gpu?

The maximum of 8GPU limit is caused by the AMD driver and the Windows system. So there is no way to have more than 8.

889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: July 25, 2016, 11:02:41 AM
According to https://bitcoinwisdom.com/, the bitcoin price is quite stable at the moment, within 5% for the alst week.
890  Economy / Speculation / Re: July 20, 2016, the block halving date, what will the price be? on: July 10, 2016, 07:03:46 PM
The bitcoin price did not change much after the halving. That might be expected as the halving is already known.
891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: June 27, 2016, 09:07:09 AM
price is rising for last month quite rapidly
price went from stable to sky rocketing
lets see how it will be for this and next month

I becomes more concerned now. If the price keeps on rising at this rate, there will be a big crash very soon.

yes last time price went up and then went huge down after 3-4 month price went up 5 times i expect something similar this time
I also expect something similar now too. Well I expect it to happen surely by august because the halving fanatics are holding their bitcoin tight. I think there's a possibility that it will rise agian soon before we see that big crash.

The bitcoin price is still very volatile. Some time people have too much hope and drive the price too high.

I think the price now is quite reasonable. It will be just stay around here for the next few months to consolidate.
892  Economy / Speculation / Re: July 20, 2016, the block halving date, what will the price be? on: June 09, 2016, 05:43:12 PM
I think we'll stay in the $400-450 range. Market usually don't follow the majority and there is nothing apart from hype to support a rally.

For the time being, there is no big news to drive the price either way. In July, there could be an implementation of 2MB block size.

If there is no big news. I think the price will be around the $600 level, or from $575 to 600 dollars.
893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: May 27, 2016, 06:54:27 AM
The price of the Bitcoin was indeed stable for a long time and that have to change soon and many people are now waiting for a higher value and that would be perfect.
But of course we are not for sure what is going to happen and that is the problem but the most are hoping that it will rise soon.

I think the price was consolidating for the last 5 months. So when the price break out, it could be very high.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: May 13, 2016, 02:06:11 PM
No Ethereum can never be bitcoin. It has unlimited supply feature. Mining of Ethereum is comparatively easy as compared to bitcoin. It is good for investment purpose but it can never overtake bitcoin.

If the world economy growth is 2% a year and the supply growth of Ethereum is 1% a year, it is still a deflationary currency.

world economy is headed for contraction, negative growth

That is caused by the bad fiat policy. Too much money around and crash the economy. With bitcoin and Ethereum, it will be different.
895  Economy / Speculation / Re: July 20, 2016, the block halving date, what will the price be? on: April 29, 2016, 07:37:25 PM
I think the price will be between $500 to 600. If the SegWit is out by then, the price will be $700 to 800.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: April 14, 2016, 09:28:30 AM
I think yes, the ethereum will one day reach to a height and will have the price same as now bitcoin. There are ore people to support ethereum as they are feeling interest in there.

Ethereum will not be a new bitcoin, it is just a coin related to a "trading platform". A platform can also be built to use bitcoin.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Affordable motherboard for GPU mining? on: April 05, 2016, 02:59:28 PM
For the old motherboards, there are too few PCIE slots. So you need more CPU, hard disks and memory.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: March 27, 2016, 08:35:07 PM
I dont think so.
Eth has worse problems on scalability than BTC.
How so? If it moves to a stable proof of stake and survives fine, then scalability should be significantly better than Bitcoin.

I have no problem for Ethereum to go PoS. But it should be PoW mined for a few years to distribute the coins.
899  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: March 15, 2016, 10:58:42 AM
I like the stable price now, it allows for some earning buying and selling at small ups and downs, and gives more peace of mind lol

From the last week the price is stable around the $410 to $415 tag. This price has given good profit with the small variations.
A few weeks is just a small timeframe to consider the price to be stable. At min. you need a month for it when it comes to bitcoin. And I do believe the current momentum is there. So a stable price or at least a minumum price.
The price has been stable for over 2 months now. It has been fulctuating between $370-$420 since Jan and till now we haven't been able to get the price range of $450 - $550. In bitcoins, the price is not that stable always but when it remains in the same range since 3-4 months, we can see price rise or drop soon.

I noticed that the bottom of the price range has risen to $400 and the top is $450. So it is very tight range.
900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: February 28, 2016, 08:38:38 PM
So who is responsible for instability of price ?
Whales or fake volume on exchanges(in assuming he exist).
Can we get solution through decentralized exchange?

The whole market force is responsible for the price change. The big whales contribute most to the price instability.
