321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 30, 2019, 06:52:05 PM
It has gone up around $800, do you think they could run it up and then I would come down before January 1 before the new year. Or they will not come in to play?  I’m waiting for some money to clear to buy some. And I don’t know right now is the best time to buy

$800 is not a sign of something else. It just means that the price of Bitcoin is alive and being traded. Only up to that. It does not give us a heads up of a future bull run or something. If you want to buy, the price within $7,000 is still very cheap. I can even say that the price of Bitcoin under $10,000 is very cheap.

I think so too. $800 is just over 10% and is normal for bitcoin to jump around that much. I agree with what you say and anything under 10k is still very cheap. I think even the people who bought at 18k will be in the green if they hold a few years more. People need to remember you will alive for many many more years and there is still time to wait. Don't give up so quickly and sell out. Only sell when you plan to buy more bitcoin afterwards. Always look to the longterm which will be 2 years? 3? I think 5 years from now anyone who buys bitcoin today will have a lot of profit. Now imagine you looking at this in the future 5 years from now and wish you listened.  Grin
322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 29, 2019, 05:43:08 PM
Thank you for the link https://d.tube/ Really nice and it is fairly popular and supported by its own coin and best of all its fully decentralized to fully uncensored just the ways things should be.

I guess it was some sort of bot I don't know, I guess we will never know. At least they said sorry though. Facebook wouldn't have the decency to apologise. So at least give them credit for that. I hope all the videos get reinstated asap since this is quite worrying for me to see.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Find The True Value Of Bitcoin on: December 29, 2019, 05:15:54 PM
...only the government has the power to dictate the price of bitcoin.

No, I strongly disagree! The price of Bitcoin is dependent upon the demand of the people. The value has actually started from zero and gradually turned to a few cents and a few dollars later on. The growth has nothing to do with the government whatsoever. Everything has something to do with people putting trust on it basically because of its technology, that it cannot be controlled by any single individual or group, that it cannot even be tampered or killed, that transactions are made public therefore transparent, and that personal identities are not anymore needed in doing transactions. It is therefore the agreement among people that Bitcoin has value that put value to it.

I also strongly disagree. They have no idea what they are talking about. So according to them because drugs are illegal there is no market? People will still use and buy bitcoin if it is illegal.
What a clueless person. The government does what we want them to or we protest they should read a history book. If they made bitcoin illgal I would tell them to get off and keep using it. Freedom and moral value is much more important than any man-made self-serving and selfish law with alter motives.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌍[ANN]🌳 [FRED IEO] - FRED ENERGY Token - Green Energy Projects - Stellar🌲🌳 on: December 29, 2019, 05:10:10 PM
I don't really see the use of this token. So I own Fred tokens? So what? It means nothing. I cannot do anything with them. Or do they actually function in the marketplace? Has anyone got any proof of getting what they have ordered? Is it stuff you are stocking from other companies? Are there any videos of these products? I also don't like this talk about a fake team. People should leave credible evidence though. I want to see links and pictures so we know beyond a doubt. Deleting messages in telegram and banning people. Blaming the bot? I don't know what is true and what is not but these are red flags none the less.

Where else do you plan to list your tokens btw?
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][IEO] Easy Feedback Token. To reward people who communicate useful feedback on: December 29, 2019, 04:57:29 PM
You are already listed on tokpie. I see you have other exchange partners. Are you listed on any of them yet? When will we be able to leave feedback and earn EFT? We need a working system for the tokens price to go up and attract investors. Real-world use. I hope bounty hunters will be some of the first to use it when fully developed. I know the first test went well from reading this. https://easyfeedbacktoken.io/thanks_all_users_easyfeedback/
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube vs Crypto on: December 27, 2019, 07:01:01 PM
I think youtube just got trigger happy. It's ridiculous. There is not a place for censorship in a free world. I'm glad this is coming to an end and it is a mistake. Though to be fair to youtube there are so many scams out there. But they need to educate themselves or hire some people who know about crypto so they can look at the complaints and see if it is indeed a scam or Ponzi or legit coin. It is not fair to punish everyone because of bad seeds and bad actors.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin about to Make a Comeback? on: December 27, 2019, 06:54:11 PM
Dogecoin for me doesn't even matter when I buy it I just profit from it. I just never bought it at 70 satoshis since I was sure it wouldn't last. Dogecoin goes form 20-70 satoshi back and forth so I pretty much have profited from that quite a number of times. The coin works well and is very fast with low fees. It is great for micro transactions and suites faucets well and GPT sites. I have also used it to make purchase online which is great since I a spend my investment. Now I feel is the time to buy so I bought a bit of dogecoins. It will not go to waste since I belive in dogecoin and I will be able to spend it so it is useable without having to convert to another currency such as bitcoin. Bitcoin falls behind when it comes to micro transactions but this is by design. Dogecoin will be in my portfolio for a long time to come.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google banned ETH wallet and metamask android client on Playstore on: December 27, 2019, 06:17:53 PM
Hahahaha funny. So they ban legit apps but there are a shit ton load of fake pieces of shit floating around on google playstore with fake wallets and clipboard copy paste theft. There fake traffic apps with fake reviews and even reviews from plain idiots giving 5 stars to something that does nothing. I always report them. Every single one of them. If an app is good and people give it one star I report them.

I love this lol. Maybe they should stop allowing criminals creating apps that are stolen or steal themselves before pointing fingers at legit companies. Google is breaking their own rules by condoning and even allowing fake apps and scams. So !@#$ google honestly and truly.
329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to select a good bounty campaign! on: December 26, 2019, 07:36:20 PM
You can find bounty campaigns here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

Unfortunately, not all accept new participants, so you will probably have to wait until your Bitcointalk account rank increases slightly to join the well-paid ones.
If you have accounts on social media (Twitter, Facebook) it is possible that thanks to them you can earn some tokens or altcoins.
However, remember that there are a lot of scam projects on the bounty market, so before you join, carefully analyze whether the project is real and has a chance to succeed.
aa21 have social media account which is twitter. Look at the post that aa21 knew airdrop from a twitter post. Well, it's still not very helpful for aa21 to earn money by joining bounty campaign like ICOs rather than joining well paid ones campaign as what you have mentioned.

I noticed he mentioned Twitter, but he doesn't necessarily must have an account there. I often browse Twitter accounts without logging in. Wink

In my opinion, using social media accounts is the only way to earn more than dust. Rates for Bitcointalk "Newbie" accounts are really very low, but if he has a large number of followers on FB or Twitter, this is how he can earn more.

You have to be so careful using twitter account for promoting crypto projects. There are many many reasons that you could be banned and they do not tell you why so if you going to fo for the social media bounties watch out for this. You don't want to lose your high paying twitter account. Things to watch out for are. Supporting too many crypto projects at once and have RT after RT of endless projects. Mix your account up and have other interests too. You need to also post your own stuff you should not just post about promoting bounties. Post a more personal tweet every now and again. Try not overdo the # as well. Twitter doesn't like too many crypto related # in one post.
330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It can be done (from member to hero) on: December 26, 2019, 06:49:22 PM
Instead of people "spamming" for activity, people now make messages they know will be popular and reply to people more likely to notice them. Or supporting popular opinion to get more views. It is basically targeting traffic. You can post well and hardly ever get merits. The system is broken. So many selfish people sit with merits and not give them out. How does this help? If you want to rank up you need to help others too.
I am sorry but ranking up is not just based on quality. Many times people won't even see or read your comment. I don't post in the most popular threads to is it to my disadvantage etc etc

It feels like a popularity contest in school. I just watch rather I don't really care for merits. I don't need merits to know I can post well and help others. Another thing is I am empty and have no more merits to give please tell me how that helps??

I have 3 whole merits lol ....

I have 0 merits to send and it has been that way for weeks and weeks.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Xapo Debit Cards to be mailed this month! on: December 24, 2019, 07:52:12 PM
I was thinking of doing this but if I just exchange my crypto to fiat in the exchange then to my bank I can use the debit/credit card. To it is as if it were "prepaid" with XAPO you do not need to do that part it is done each time you pay. My problem is if you pay a Reddit card fee every time you use the XAPO wallet then what's the point? I hope some users hear can comment on their experiences.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy holidays to all bitcointalk members.Check out my goofy bitcoin artwork. :) on: December 24, 2019, 07:28:41 PM
It's fine to post here and wish others goodwill. This is Xmas time after all. Happy holidays all. I like your logo. Good to start a friendly topic like this one and to see people being so nice to one another. We need more of this.
Back and forth conversation is much needed on the forum.

Don't forget to fill the stockings(bags) with bitcoin and happy hodling.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 24, 2019, 07:00:51 PM
Oh yeah, I love this initiative. This is extremely helpful to the Bitcoin community itself.
It will help the adoption and you are right that a single question can reach dozen of people since they will become curious about Bitcoin once they hear that, especiall you asking it for payment.

Good job! Keep it up!!!
This is one of the reasons I believe the "Merit" system hasn't really been used properly. If you actually acknowledged this "Oh yeah, I love this initiative. This is extremely helpful to the Bitcoin community itself in your comment, what stopped you from meriting that post then? You don't have spendable merit, like I do?

Well, to the other issue - this should serve as a caveat though. Before you ask if the shop or business allows for payment with Bitcoin, make sure you have some in a wallet in case the response is " Yes!" So you don't end up looking embarrassed.

Yes, it is annoying when people don't use merits. Noone should have merits they should have spent them long ago like as soon as they get them. I don't have any merits Sad which is the other problem. Those who hand out merits should get them often and become merit sources. There need to be more merit sources. You make good posts sometimes and no one even reads them. The same situation with asking shops about bitcoin. People need to do their bit to help. I ask about bitcoin even when I know they have no idea what I am talking about. I ask the waitress and waiter if they want a bitcoin tip. xD
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now YouTube is flagging Bitcoin and crypto-related videos? on: December 24, 2019, 06:45:00 PM
Youtube is not so bad. Have your tried IG??? You can get a block for listing to music in the background of your video. It happened to someone I know and she had less than 1000 followers and like 3 people watching.
That's being a bully. I don't think youtube is quite like that. It sounds like a group of people with altered motives to try to pull down legit youtube videos for some reason. Maybe to be assholes or maybe they competition.
I have never know youtube to be pro-censorship and stuff like this so I can say I confidently believe this is not a crackdown but rather a group of people with some motive behind it.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: December 23, 2019, 07:06:49 PM
Crypto is an infant child and running the world economic affairs on bitcoin doesn't seem feasible in current circumstances. I personally think that bitcoin is good for private use but because of its anonymous nature it can't be used at state level. As time pass things will get more transparent regarding bitcoin usage.

Bitcoin is already transparent. You should know that. If the world can run on fiat it can certainly run on bitcoin or any other crypto for that matter. Right now I am also happy with using crypto for private uses and private buys rather than large scale commercial use.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Xmas promo pool scam on: December 23, 2019, 06:57:21 PM
Interesting. Nice share. How do people fall for this? This guy promises people a high return but why did they listen to him? He is just good with words? Who believes 3x your money back in 7 days?? Apparently one person lost 100btc. You would think someone would be happy with 100btc and not be so greedy. Now the scammer is rich beyond belief for hardly doing anything. It isn't fair some people work their whole lives. The scammers just feel nothing and the victims are just making sure scams will always be around because they are greedy. They help someone become rich without work.  Angry
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 23, 2019, 06:14:12 PM
I will ask in some stores. Privately owned ones. I don't ask in chain stores since the people are less likely to talk about it as much as a private one since they have almost 0 control in a chain store but in a private store, their opinion will be heard. It is also easier for private stores to start using crypto. I think they will need to learn how to convert to either stable coin or fiat so they do not lose the value of their services or whatever they sell. They could also choose not to sell and keep to hodl as an investment as well. It really brings many different things to the table.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 23, 2019, 06:08:27 PM
Great news that they are getting caught. At least this guy was clever. It is the stupid scammers that are lazy and put in 0 effort that annoy me the most. I am glad they traced and found him. He was clever but not clever enough. His transactions were kept too public I guess somewhere along the line he must have made a mistake and inserting a sim in the wrong phone or used an exchange that could track him. I bet that they probably won't let us know the outcome. I guess it is not meaty enough news to show the outcome.
339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I enjoy posting on bitcointalk on: December 22, 2019, 07:34:40 PM
I am glad you like it here and have learnt so much. Having fun and enjoying yourself while you learn is very important. I'm glad there still people with genuine interest. You doing a good job introducing people to crypto.  Smiley

It's not about earning here. Earning is just a by product and one should not consider it as the main source.
Some people here think otherwise. Apparently, if you're in a signature campaign, you're only posting for the money.
Some people will still be posting actively in the forum whether they are wearing signature or not. Some people in that group prefers getting paid while doing so.

You cannot just pretend that all those who are wearing signatures are posting only to get paid and have no interest in writing. This may be true for majority of the users here but there are people who will post with interest and at the same time get payment for it too.

Be honest. Most would not post as much as we did if we were not earning something. I don't see anything in wanting to earn while doing other things you would do anyway. Maybe you would only make 2 posts a day but you getting paid so you make 4. It is ok. As long as you just not posting just to fill in the post. It is very annoying when you get these bounty hunters that join anything. They act like bots to me but they actually people.
Just read some of the stuff some users post.
340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware: fake XRP airdrop scam currently going on on: December 22, 2019, 06:59:12 PM

Not only the channel is up but he has deleted that video on OP and re-uploaded it so its url is changed. Its time to report this youtube video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFDp5mFDvr4 so it gets removed too. Also i am surprised to see only 1 video in the channel and subscribers are above 11K. How is that possible ?

Most probably incentivized his viewers of bought loads of fake subscribers to pass his channel off as legit.

Earned from traffic sites or bought to artificially boost their appearance of being successful. This is why numbers mean nothing. They do not lead to sales or anything. It is just an inflated number. Only actually sale leads count. YOu can have 10million views but if no one does anything you make zero. I didn't even get to see the youtube channel to go have a laugh at it. I am glad you guys reported it and it is already down the user removed the video may be to move it elsewhere after their failed attempt to scam.
