airdrop is a way of distributing their token for free to the users who participate their airdrop and i think its the way developers distributing their supply since they dont do airdrop like bitsend or deeponion but there are some other coins do airdrop to attract people in ico i've seen some of it.

it depends what you feel about the coin price reaches its peak before people dumping it down but if your holding a coin its best to sell the coin from 1 - 2 years from now because thats how holding works. 50 times of its price before selling the coin would take you more than 2 year plus depending what coin your investing to.

why not use the exchange wallet instead its more secure than desktop wallet i prefer it more rather than desktop wallet because when your account got login in other location they ask for a code or something you can even use 2fa if you do not feel comfortable with email security.
