1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coin Toss 49% on: June 13, 2012, 06:30:56 AM
Yes I did receive that amount, since the dates are close I will assume you sent it .

Might want to give people a heads up next time, otherwise it could buried or someone else may claim they actually sent it.
Thanks for refunding my lost bets after all this time.

Good luck in getting your sites back online etc, I may test them again and see if we cant move them out of pending.
Please be aware that due to the nature of the problem (bets accepted but not paid out for many months) people including myself will be very cautious about returning.

Good luck and keep me posted of the developments.

Thank you. I guess you changed your signature address since then? I was just double-checking and didn't find it at your current signature address.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinToss No Payment Received(RESPONSE RECEIVED) on: June 13, 2012, 06:20:09 AM
I would not be so quick he needs to explain things. As well as answer any question that may arise. i have a feeling he will chose not to though.
I think you are quite incorrect and are simply searching for the next Bitcoin drama. Alex used to be very involved with Bitcoin whhen I was before my hiatus, and I trust him completely. I was very surprised to see this site listed as a scam and am glad he sent you that PM.

Alex always took time to respond to any questions and addressed all concerns in the past. I doubt now will be any different.

What he said in his PM makes sense, I'm not really sure what other sort of explanation you are waiting for.

John

Thanks John. I suppose the problem is that traveling is a lot more fun than coming back to this forum to be interrogated. I came back, check that my sites were working properly and paid out those who had issues, but still I get grief from the likes of stoppots.

I'm also not sure what else he expects me to say. I looked briefly at post #13 but don't really see any questions.

Anyway, take it or leave it. I don't care either way anymore.

Not a scam at all Angry An unfortunate case of database corruption while I've been away for several months.

mem, please let me know (honestly) how much I owe you.

As far as I can tell, website has been working 100% correctly now and has been paying all recent players.

Hi Alex, glad to see you return finally.

I tested all your sites after btc flip cleaned me out of my 1st lot of bitcoin and created my gambling list to help others avoid the same fate.

bitcointoss: 2 btc
Bitcoinflip:  1 btc
Bitcoindouble:  0.5 btc
btcriches: 0.3 btc

Quite possibly more but I know at least that much was lost to each site.

Hi Mem, I sent you 3.8 BTC to your signature address (a month ago). Please check.

Hi all,

I have to go AWOL for a while.

Need to work a solid 3 months or more on some non-bitcoin stuff, and unfortunately the whole bitcoin scene is too distracting (I love it!).

If you really need to reach me, you can email admin@ [any of my domains].

Cheers, back soon.

I understood your post to claim that drug dealers were keeping the price stable. However, after re-reading your post, I can see you were referring to volatility.

What's the difference? Besides that they're opposites of each other.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Choosing a lower block reward? on: July 25, 2011, 01:52:14 AM
In fact, I believe there's been at least one block with less than 50BTC reward in it, and it was accepted just fine.

Yep, someone decided to burn 10 nBTC but accidentally burned an extra 10 mBTC along with it.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to "put BitCoin's on a website" on: July 24, 2011, 01:14:43 PM
If you wanted to trust a 3rd-party website, you could go to http://instawallet.org and load a specific number of coins into a wallet there and then keep a note of the wallet's URL.

You could then just hide that instawallet URL on your website somewhere. Maybe as text, or maybe as a QR code for example.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Micropayments on: July 23, 2011, 07:00:38 PM
I'm still using version 0.3.22 (can't upgrade for some reason). If I try and send .01 or .02 BTC, I get an "over size limit" note. I always figured this meant the amount was too small, as I didn't get the note if I sent 1 BTC or more. I pay the fee and it works for a small amount like .01 BTC and it sends OK. But the BTC comes from one or maybe two addresses, not dozens. So how come it is "over the size limit"? I used to think this was some developer's bad English and it should have said "under the size limit" (i.e., too small), but apparently not. But it acts like that *is* what it means.

You need to upgrade NOW.

And yes, it's poorly worded and should be fixed.
Didn't he just say he can't?

If he can't upgrade, then perhaps downgrading is an option.

0.3.20.2 doesn't have this issue.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Domaining - list of unused domains you may want; soliciting help on: July 23, 2011, 06:46:18 PM
90% of these are now taken. lol

Did you just grab them? Smiley I just checked them a few minutes ago at GoDaddy...

I think maybe they're still in my order basket. I'll see if I can clear them out...

Update: Okay I've cleared my GoDaddy basket and have closed that browser window... maybe now they'll show up as available for you (or anyone that wants to buy).

It was just a joke, because you posted them all.
Sorry for the confusion.

Oh, no problem Cheesy There's actually a few there that I like, but I'm not buying at the moment (enough already), so I'll take my chances and come back to this list later if I need it.

18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Win 0.2 BTC) Guess the next line in this sequence... on: July 23, 2011, 06:33:07 PM
I mean in the very beginning, there were 2 rows of aaaaaa's. Not that I would have gotten it anyway   Wink

Yes, that was my mistake unfortunately.

The second line shouldn't have been baaaaaaaaaa it should have been bororororor all along. I got mixed up thinking of 'beta' instead of 'bravo'.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Win 0.2 BTC) Guess the next line in this sequence... on: July 23, 2011, 06:29:16 PM
What was up with that first row of all aaaaaa's?

alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha alpha

Next question? Smiley

I knew those first two weren't right, but I wanted to post something since I was so close to figuring it out, then I got it right after I posted.  Smiley

So, any ETA on when you'll be posting your bitcoin address? Smiley
