If this is the last reply, the smile begins fading.   Sad

Cheer up bitcoinminer, 3 out of 5 people voted for you.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: People who buy stuff with bitcoins on: June 26, 2011, 02:36:43 AM
I couldn't agree right now a bitcoin is worth 15$ so don't treat it like its worth 20$ or even 30$. I wonder though how merchants will update their prices based on bitcoin exchange fluctuation.

I treat half my bitcoins like they're worth $100, coz I'm keeping them for the long term.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: Tradehill on: June 26, 2011, 02:34:58 AM
It couldn't hurt to provide that.  Also keep the balance info displayed on every page, especially since you make us do the math when creating buy/sell orders, which is something that should also be improved.

Personally, I'd put this issue ahead of nicer charts. It's very tedious to do manually.
464  Economy / Gambling / Re: King of the Hill - Automated Bitcoin Doubler (Rounds Start Every Hour) on: June 26, 2011, 02:29:36 AM
I feel like short rounds work around midnight and such, but longer rounds would work for other times.

It's always just after midnight. Currently 12:29am.

465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: POLL: What name would you give to the smallest unit of bitcoin (0.00000001)? on: June 26, 2011, 01:43:19 AM
That don't need a name.

Yeah, let's call them 0.00000001 btc Cheesy
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attn: People who buy stuff with bitcoins on: June 26, 2011, 01:42:15 AM
No bad experience. Just nobody wants to buy my stuff at prices comparable with the exact product on ebay. That's my own personal gripe. Other than that I don't see how we can get fresh blood involved if they have to get screwed on a transaction just to get their feet wet.

How about linking to it, now that you have people's attention? Smiley
467  Other / Off-topic / Re: This Forum is Looking More and More like 4chan on: June 26, 2011, 01:38:38 AM
How about bringing back the post rating system (just for applause, no smiting):

You can get out of the newbie zone once you have a certain amount of +1 rated posts.
You can only +1 a post if you're out of the newbie zone.

That way it's not just a matter of spamming your way to 50 or whatever the number is set at. They have to be good posts that a non-newbie will +1 you for.

It could still be set at just 5.
468  Economy / Gambling / Re: King of the Hill - Automated Bitcoin Doubler (Rounds Start Every Hour) on: June 26, 2011, 01:32:02 AM
I disagree. There are PLENTY of other games around to choose from that last longer.

This is good for people who actually want to play a shorter one.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: sent 10 btc and its not going through on: June 26, 2011, 12:42:47 AM
It's fine now, I got the coins and OP can close this thread, but I'll repeat this good advice offered elsewhere on this forum:

Make sure your client is online with a good amount of connections (8?) before attempting any send.

470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tradehill or MtGox on: June 25, 2011, 11:30:30 PM
From what I heard, Tradehill is out of Chile, while MtGox is out of Japan, so it makes you think.

As opposed to the US or Australia, which makes you stare into space like a vegetable.

http://bitcoinsurf.net/kingofthemountain/

Games start every hour, on the half-hour (ie. 3:30pm-4:30pm)

Multiplies your bet by 1.2
Min Bet: 3.0 BTC
Max Bet: 5.0 BTC

Seems the min is much too high on this one.
472  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling 10 btc on: June 25, 2011, 11:19:21 PM
Hi r, my offer has expired by the way. Tradehill price continues to drop...

473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tradehill or MtGox on: June 25, 2011, 06:31:12 PM
I am transferring all my bitmoin to tradehill (affiliate link), what about you ?

See the m on the question? That's why I never transfer my bitmoin.
474  Other / Off-topic / Re: This Forum is Looking More and More like 4chan on: June 25, 2011, 06:27:46 PM
Just allow the Newbie section to have two sections, maybe one tech side and the other currency.

Ha, for a second then I thought you were going to suggest splitting them into ultra-new and slightly-new.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I think satoshi should donate more bitcoin to Bitcoin Faucet on: June 25, 2011, 06:25:28 PM
Not just keep it. He as the founder of the bitcoin system, have more responsibility than later adopters to make it widely adopted.

How do you know he even has any left? Hookers and blow aren't cheap you know.
476  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling 10 btc on: June 25, 2011, 05:21:56 PM
Serious offer sent via PM...
477  Economy / Gambling / Re: King of the Hill - Automated Bitcoin Doubler (Rounds Start Every Hour) Low-Bets on: June 25, 2011, 04:29:59 PM
The text in the form is different from the text in the rules page:

478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gox BTC hitting TH Auction Block on: June 25, 2011, 04:19:57 PM
Bring it on... I've got a TH buy order sitting on about 12.5 in case it drops hard while I'm asleep.
479  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: [Selling] 2 btc30$ [paypal] on: June 25, 2011, 03:50:14 PM
Got the coins, thanks... let us know if you want to sell any more.
480  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitCams.com on: June 25, 2011, 12:29:54 PM
Lol, I pm'ed her asking her exactly what she was after.

I've read the entire thread... it seems to me she wasn't after anything... just offering (good) free advice that fell on deaf ears.
