Q. any ETA for one of your products ?
A. We are still waiting for Avalon to release the specs. As soon as they do it, BkkCoins will hopefully finish the design and be able to send us some boards within 7-10 days, or we will try to get some manufactured locally here in Bay Area. The turn around time for boards is usually 3-4 days. So we hope we will have boards in 2 weeks. After that we will do some testing for about 2 weeks. Basically within a month, we will be ready to assemble and ship upto 250 boards a day, given that we have the Avalon chips. Now that is a big variable, we have no idea when we will get the chips. However we will start taking orders for the assembly service, so that in case you receive your chips, you can send them over to us and we will start assembling your boards.

I am pretty sure they are in the testing phase right now.

Go read the OP

when would the people in the first batch start receiving their equipment? I understand dates are set in stone, but what is at least the date people are talking about.

that all depends on a LOT of factors, mostly when they get the chips.  First we need to know who got in the first batch.

And it just goes on forever and ever. but if i do it with the cpu version it work for perfect in no time. i read through form and have not noticed any thing posted about this.

I've come across this too with a full uninstall of newer drivers (removal tool) and downgrading to 12.8.

The only solution I can use to avoid the loop above is to run in safemode with the -S flag.

This does run a lot slower than normal.... however it is still a lot faster than my CPU.

I ran into this issue myself - was mining for a prefix 1piit79 on a 7970 and didn't realize it was a bug until I tried 3 times (and wasted quite a lot of GPU time - 50% tok ~7h Smiley )

Funnily enough it worked just fine when I ran it on 5870 (and it was surprisingly just a bit slower than the 7970).

I am having the same issue with my 7970.  Does anyone have a fix for this? Id love to use this, but nothing works.  safe mode isnt working for me.

Just ordered additional 20,000 chips from Avalon. Orders that would not be covered by the first batch, would certainly be covered by these chips.

BitSyncom is going to get the chips produced in bulk from the foundry. We believe that all the orders will be shipped by Avalon in close proximity to each other. So, hopefully, the chips ordered today will be shipped at most a week or two after the ships we ordered on May 10 and 16. In that case, our batch 2 orders will start shipping at most 2 weeks after the batch 1.

This is clearly not what we discussed. Terrahash contact us ASAP.

No more drama please....  god dammit.

You've learned a valuable lesson, bid when there is no one else on. Plus you did bump the thread making it more likely for people to bid....but it's too late now, should end in minutes and then transactions aren't going to confirm in time.

Site has earned 0.65 BTC (made a loss altogether) if those last bets confirm.

They're going to confirm, look at those fees :S It was my first time doing penny auctions, damnit -.- Shouldn't have listened to laughingbear...

cant win if you dont play

unconfirmed transaction
192  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: June 19, 2013, 06:29:26 PM
thats just how it works...  you were trying to outbid someone else by 0.00006666.

this is all pennies anyway.  dont gamble with what you cant afford to lose.
193  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockRun.com - Penny auctions on the blockchain on: June 19, 2013, 06:25:08 PM
its gambling...  its fun.  it actually looks like your bid wont go through, and youll get it back

195  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / 7970 thermal paste replacement on: June 19, 2013, 06:11:24 PM
My Sapphire 7970 has been a PAIN in the ass ever since I got it.  I switched over to LTC a few weks ago, and it took me forever to get the hash rate up to 725 kh/s.  Once I finally got that sorted out, my temps started to become a problem.  When I first started mining ltc, my temps were around 75-80c. The temp slowly kept rising till they were in the 85-87c range!  I had the side of my pc open and a box fan blowing right on the card, and it helped a little at first, but then the temps were back at the 85c range.  This is in an air conditioned room.

I tried cleaning the card, maxing out fans etc, nothing helped, and it was driving me nuts.  The pc kept restarting itself from high temps.  I finally ordered some thermal paste and replaced what came with the factory.  It was super easy, 4 screws and a twist and it was open.  The factory paste was thick and had spilled all over the transistors surrounding the chip.  I cleaned everything the besi I could, used a toothbrush to get the paste off the transistors, and added the new paste.

I am now running at max load, an hour later, I am at 735 kh/s and gpu-z says my core temp is at 58c!  my VRM temps are at 78-80c!

I hope this helps any one else struggling with rising temps this summer.

Cryptoin, you are stressing me out.
197  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 19, 2013, 03:24:50 PM
How can they do payment first when they offer bank transfer and they have to wait for BTC Confirmations?

It's order date with a cutoff time to pay.

This is how it is with most businesses.

BTC payments should get preference of course, this is a bitcoin business. waiting on bank transfers, sorry but that should not penalize the btc orders.  No one buying this sort of equipment should not be aware of the problems with the banking system.
198  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 19, 2013, 03:19:20 PM

Are you guys saying terrahash is not processing order based on who paid first?  that doesnt make any sense.

terrahash can you please confirm.

I called and talked to them personally.  The man on the phone confirmed this with me.

Feel free to call him, and let him know how you feel, its a toll free number.

Oh, now it makes even more sense to me...

Quote
sending $79,109.13 up front on 14th of May

Cloudhashing sent TH just enough money to purchase another 10,000 Avalon chips on May 14th, right when TH says they would have made a second avalon order.

Now comes June and Cloudhashing wants a refund, but TH has no money.  The only way to raise money for a refund is to accept pre-orders. Smiley

makes sense.  I think this is a sound theory
200  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 19, 2013, 02:44:16 PM
Seconded. If indeed they are allowing people to sell unpaid preorders, I think I am going to ask for a refund.  Ill invest my money somewhere else.
