601  Economy / Goods / Re: Electronic Cigarettes smoke for $35 a month! on: December 04, 2012, 01:28:22 AM
I have tried a lot of them, and just can not find anything to suit me.  I wish there was a way I could sample.
602  Economy / Services / Looking for website designer, very familiar with opencart on: December 04, 2012, 01:09:55 AM
About a year ago, I altered a version of opencart, with the intent of selling it as a premade website for reviews..  I took it as far as I could on my own, and turned it over to an opencart designer who never did the work he promised.  I let it set all this time and forgot about it till recently.  I am looking for someone to finish it up.  This would be VERY easy work for someone that knows what they are doing.  It needs very little cleaning, and to be packaged up for installation.

I would be willing to split ALL the profit 50/50 with whoever can finish this up.    Easy work that could pay off big time.

MUST be familiar with opencart!

pm for more info.

Or you could stand your ground and make them go to court and try and prove that bitcoins are money.

Good luck with that. According to Bernanke, gold isn't even money.

605  Economy / Economics / Re: US Gov't Phasing out the PENNY and NICKEL in 2013 on: December 03, 2012, 01:36:34 AM
You guys do know it's illegal to melt these coins, right?

It IS illegal, until they take them out of circulation, then whoever has the most, wins.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: US Gov't Phasing out the PENNY and NICKEL in 2013 on: December 02, 2012, 05:06:04 PM
I have been stacking pre 82 pennies for years, that is the way to go in my opinion.

Currently:

pre 82 pennies have a metal value of =$0.0238623

nickels have a metal value of = $0.0517926
http://www.coinflation.com/

So you more than double your investment with the penny, not so much with the nickel.

The downside is that you have to sort the pennies.  A lot of people hand sort, but if you want to get serious about sorting you can grab one of these:
http://www.pennysorter.com/

I usually go to the bank and grab $100 worth of pennies at a time, sort them, and return the 83 and older pennies into the change machine at the bank, with a zero processing fee.  I love my bank!  1 out of every 4 or so boxes I find an Indian head penny, and a few handful of Wheaties too, and I can sell those on ebay for added profit.

Ill also do this with dime and quarter boxes treasure hunting silver. I usually find 1 silver coin per box in the dimes and quarters.  You have to hand sort those though, but it is fast work, looking at the edges of the coins for lines.

608  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2500 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + Stratum on: December 01, 2012, 03:16:10 PM
Do I need to do anything different to make a stratum miner version of CGminer to work?

I enter in the URL, same settings has cgminer 2.7.5 and any version with stratum support doesn't connect at all.

Enter "localhost" in the url, once the proxy program is running

Out of curiosity, what did you use to mine it with?  GPU?  FPGA? ... <gasp> CPU?

I used a single 5800 at 350 Mhash/s

well I sent 0.5 BTC on 1.147X, and the winning I would toss to you.
Ironically I lost, got upset, threw 3.4 and won 4.4 BTC!
So overall I am up 0.5 BTC!

So you get 10% of my winnings!
which is 0.05 BTC!

Thanks!

Everyone should send a satoshi to the genesis block address.

Would be more interesting if it were like a lottery and all of us send a small amount of BTC to miner, in this case laughingbear

I second that idea

Are you familiar with the Zeitgeist Movement or the Venus Project?

Very much so.  I also ran as a delegate for Ron Paul.
