did you try putting putting it into the cd drive?  i think youll get more speed if you have a blu-ray.

Again...  Let them cancel, make the units anyway, then sell them at a mark-up once assembled. I dont think youll have a problem moving them.  Youll sell out at a larger profit margin in less than an hour.

If thats brown nosing, sure I am a brown noser, but seems to me that everyone would win in that situation.  everyone who wants a refund gets one, terrahash makes more profit, and less whining.

This whole deal is completely over, they sounded like the real deal for a short time - they are not, it is clear!
The couple of fanboys on here who keep posting positive stuff about them or slagging off detractors have low post counts and are likely aligned with TH either Amir himself or friends or just people too greedy to not see the truth.

It's time to get out while you can guys before the 45 day PayPal limit

what?  do you even read?

Just sent out an email. We have secured two additional early-may orders of Avalon ASIC chips. We now have 40,000 chips (all ordered before May 16) which are enough to process all the orders that we received during our pre-order opening. If we get the Avalon chips by the end of this month, we will ship out all the orders by Mid August.

On a separate note, the test board is hashing now. I will post pics/videos tomorrow. Have a great weekend!

I believe his brother did die, but I think he is using it as a way to make himself some cash.  This is this guys pattern, find a cause, any cause and exploit it for personal gain.  ANYTHING that happens in his life is.... "poor poor me, everyone shits on me, while I did nothing wrong, please give me some money"

So your brother died, and you think someone killed him,  go hire a lawyer, and pay for it yourself.

You shame your brother by begging.
149  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just lost my little brother on: June 29, 2013, 11:35:09 PM
Coming up with scam after scam is not a legitimate form of public grief.

So far this grifter has begged for money in AT LEAST 3 different ways surrounding this death.

What kind of a person loses a brother and immediately starts panhandling over his dead body?

A fucking scumbag, thats who.  I cant tell if he actually believes his own bullshit, or if its all pure scam. All you can do is hit the ignore button. This guy has lost his soul.

you arent missing anything, this is the bug that I am hoping some of these smarties here can fix.
151  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: June 29, 2013, 01:28:27 AM
This is driving me nuts!  I have done everything I can think of with my meager skills.   Would a bounty inspire you geniuses to figure out the 7xxx problem with mismatching cpu/gpu hashes?  There are quite a few of us with this problem.
152  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: June 28, 2013, 08:25:06 PM
I tried that one and it has the same CPU hash GPU hash not matching issue (with or without BFI_INT disabled).

Hmm.  I've just realized the -S flag, which you said you already tried, includes disabling BFI_INT.  Can you run the OpenCL code on your CPU (-d, -D, or -p flags, see --help)?  Feedback from that might help narrow down the problem to an OpenCL compiler issue or hardware difference.

I tried with the hex editor, and you guessed correctly, it threw an error.   I think this may be beyond me.

What was the error?  I've since tried this on both Windows and Linux and the resulting binary seemed to work (don't know that it disabled BFI_INT.)  Are you sure you overwrote (instead of inserting) and didn't change anything else?

The -S flag crashes me every time.

I re tried the hex edit, and it did not throw an error this time, I must have screwed it up at first.  But I get the same issue, cpu and gpu hash does not match.  If I run on my cpu, it works fine.

If you can change source and recompile, try commenting out these two lines.  If you're handy with a hex editor, try searching for the string "cl_amd_media_ops" in your binary and overwriting with X's or some unique string, which should permanently disable BFI_INT (though I wonder if the .exe/ELF/whatever has some checksums that will throw an error when you run the program.)

anyone know how I might go about disabling BFI_INT?

THis guy claims to have it working on a 7970, by disabling BFI_INT.

Cases and fans are precisely designed with airflow in mind. If you remove a side of the case that ruins it, so I seriously advise you to put it back.

10 minutes of testing proves you wrong.  My temps are a LOT lower without the side on, and a box fan blowing on it.

I wish everyone would pay in BTC...

You know that is really getting old.

You realize that to have Bitcoins, you have to mine bitcoins. So why the heck would you expect to have everyone pay in BTC?

On top of that, this is a new unknown vendor, what protection do I have paying in BTC? answer: NONE.

That's why you should never own a business selling BTC miners. Because you don't understand the very BASIC ground floor aspect of the business.

yeah... fuck bitcoins!

any coupon available  Smiley

Found one on fatwallet Smiley

But I'm getting failed to create bitpay invoice at the end Sad

I used the "2weeks" coupon and got 10% off. Grin

If you didnt get the coupon from steamboat, I wouldnt fuck around...  it might mess up your order when it isnt paid in full.  Bump you to the back of the line, OR not get your order at all till its paid in full.  Steamboat has enough to do matching up our chip orders with assembly orders etc....  do you honestly want to fuck with possibly not receiving your miner over 10% off?  10% is prob all that he is profiting from your order to begin with, and for the headache that he is going through with all the logistics, he deserves that at least.
