BTC-E + Balthazar, more pressing now that the NVC scam seems to be winding up/nvc crashing.

443  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can anybody stall Bitcoin for 72BTC per hour? on: March 02, 2013, 12:57:12 AM
I am not worried about anyone buying 72 btc every hour on the hour, and then giving it away to miners, hell... I encourage it!
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Boycott BTC-E on: February 25, 2013, 01:12:34 AM
Actually, Btc-e is a great exchange. I just don't appreciate that they so shamelessly promote a PPC fork that according to various sources was significantly premined. Not even talking about that bribe that was given to btc-e, which they claim to have destroyed. It is very strange - and really I mean un-fucking-believable that it should have such a high value when not many people have even heard of it yet. Very suspicious.

Sums it up perfectly.

No one knows anything about the ownership of btc-e.  They act very very VERY shady. If you lose money with them at this point, if you are robbed, if this exchange disappears with all the coins, and there is no one you can point your finger at... It is your fault.  You have been warned.

446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Boycott BTC-E on: February 23, 2013, 01:17:37 AM
BTC-E and the mods at btc-e, are scamming the customers.  When people point it out and complain about the scam, they ban them.  They say the only reason anyone would ever be upset about them stealing from their customers, is because they are invested in LTC.

They also claim that they don't care about the ltc community:

23.02.13 04:57:39 Jay1337: and you guys = 0.00001% of the community Wink

23.02.13 04:58:59 Jay1337: but seriously.. you guys are a drop in the bucket

what can you do?

STOP using this exchange that scams people, and laughs when you get upset about it.

Withdraw ALL funds from BTC-E.  I do not have another exchange to point you to, but it is clear btc-e can not be trusted. Maybe someone else can make a suggestion.

Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144353.0   and let them know that btc-e and balthazar deserve a scammer tag.

File a complaint here http://www.cftc.gov/ConsumerProtection/FileaTiporComplaint/index.htm

Let show them they cant steal from us, and go on with business as usual.

yeah?

I could care less about the money, $200 is pocket change to me, and it sounded like a cheap price.  Im more interested in seeing the service stay available for LTC, so If someone has an offer let me know.

Buy orders

Total BTC: 4690.20443755

And that is just right now, and just on btc-e
453  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scammer Accusation] BTC-e.com or Balthazar on: February 21, 2013, 03:41:57 PM
making your own coin, and selling it would not be a scam.  Even If btc-e itself would have made the coin, and promoted it as hard as they could, I wouldnt have a problem with it.  The fact it was premined in amounts of over 30k USD at this point, and paid as a bribe to be featured makes it a scam.
454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LOL] NOVASCAM price show going on at BTC-e on: February 21, 2013, 05:17:11 AM
I was directed by the  sec to file a complaint here.  Feel free to do the same.

http://www.cftc.gov/ConsumerProtection/FileaTiporComplaint/index.htm

HAHAHAHAHA
I imagine your complaint like:

"A dude on the internet created a coin thats worth more atm than the coin that i have a ton of, please do something, please, please"

almost. They weren't sure if they could do anything about that. But they were very interested in the fact they are an unlicensed black market exchange, and breaking more than a few laws regarding international money laundering.

Then sends 110,000 coins to btc-e (Approximate value $16 thousand USD)

This is the part I don't get. How are 110k, or mn, or trn coins of a PPC scamcoin clone worth 16 dollars? To whom? Where? WTF?

I mean I get it, they're trying to cash out on btc-e's reputation or w/e, userbase, by selling them some shitty noncoins. But still. 16k? Wtf?

Using current prices @ BTC-E

Amount NVC:    110,000

Price per NVC:    0.0099 BTC

Total:    1091 BTC

Price per BTC: 29.2 usd

Total: $31,857 USD

No, it's not my decision, I only recommended to do it.

There are no losses, and motivation for project is slightly different from smoothie's trololo. Of course, I'll continue working on it. Smiley

Too late, because btc-e decided to destroy this coins. Cheesy

on: February 14, 2013, 03:59:33 PM
I'll happy to do it, but this coins was sent to btc-e, as a guarantee of stake. Only btc-e can do this now.

110K premined NVC is successfully destroyed !
February 14, 2013, 11:46:33 PM
Hi all. As you know, BTC-E received 110k of coins before NVC was publicly released. There are so many trolling about this, and we  decided to destroy it.
