what whale? The biggest buy was 300ish BTC, and in the last hour the total volume is roughly 1k BTC. Those are not whales, those are mice. True. I noticed after posting that the .5k was eaten in two gulps, not one. I've since made some coffee. I just checked the MasterCoinAdvisor to get a first deal started. I think I know how to send some mastercoins, but I'm not sure how I can check if the transaction was successful.
Any suggestion on this?
You and the seller should both agree on what the transaction should look like in the block chain. Once you see it show up (and assuming they didn't send the coins to someone else first!), you own the coins. There is a website for checking these transactions, but I'm told it doesn't handle valid transactions which have bitcoin change coming back to the sender. Ben dis donc il y a du boulot. Dommage pour Marianne qui descend assez bas dans mon estime pour ce semblant d'investigation. Imaginez les articles erronés que l'on peut ainsi lire sur des sujets que l'on ne maîtrise pas ? "la thailande à carrément interdit les bitcoins (sur son territoire)" - A investiguer mais il parait qu'il n'en est rien. "Ainsi sur le site bitcoin.fr, une bannière avertit les internautes: "bitcoin n'est qu'une expérience. N'y investissez que le temps et l'argent que vous pouvez vous permettre de perdre" - Accent sensationnaliste pour... un disclaimer tout ce qu'il y a de plus classique. De plus, je ne vois pas de lien direct entre Bitcoin et la chaine de ponzi de Pirate. PS: je connais personnellement le rédacteur en chef du Marianne Belgique (une petite année d'existence), je pourrais lui demander de transmettre la lettre ouverte/l'erratum. |

I've been working on some proof of concept code for Mastercoin since there is not much around yet. I decided to put my work to some practical purpose and made a quick page that uses the Mastercoin libraries to run through the blockchain and count how much coins were bought by a specific address. A huge disclaimer: This is not the official code and things are often guestimated. For instance the whitepaper does not mention which time to use as basis for the extra coins for early adopters. I've opted in to use the time your transaction got added to a block but the reference spec might change this, although I'm not sure how. You can check how many Mastercoins you bought here. Full transparency; IPs for visits site are currently logged by the webserver software. If you don't want your ip in combination with your bitcoin address logged don't use it. A bull run has occur
A Gox run does occur Did this occur? It's occurring. In the last 50 days on average 20k of Bitcoins (USD) where traded per day on gox. A year ago before the spike and all 34k of Bitcoins changed hands per day. Slowly Mtgox gets trained of coins to trade, nobody wants to be last man standing. I don't see bid lowering and massive dump on other exchange. |

Je ne répondrai que techniquement. Ca monte parce que la pression acheteuse est plus importante que la pression vendeuse couplé au fait que les acheteurs sont aggressifs et du coup les vendeurs plus craintifs. Les gens cherchent à se raccrocher à des explications rationnelles, du coup presque à chaque fois la manipulation sort de leur chapeau ou alors maintenant c'est la situation mtgox (ok, sa solvabilité peut-être inquiétante) mais moi je vois que les sommes mis à l'achat et la vente n'ont jamais diminué (cfr: http://blockchained.com/depth_mtgox.png). Donc non pas de fuite de la liquidité hors de mtgox, d'autant plus qu'il n'y a pas de vente massive sur d'autres échanges. J'invite toutes personnes qui se posent des questions sur la psychologie de masse des marchés à lire en introduction "Mémoires d'un spéculateur" d'Edwin Lefevre. Un classique agréable à lire et bientôt centenaire qui vous apprendra qu'il n'y a rien de neuf sous le soleil. Le prix du bitcoin depuis quelques mois maitenant que le marché est devenu plus liquide répond assez bien à l'analyse technique que l'on peut en faire.
