401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Survival of gambling sites. on: January 03, 2016, 10:03:05 AM
No gamblers can't continuously win, Maths!

Yup the house will win the in long run. But I believe many people have underestimated how long is considered long enough for the actual profit to get very close to the EV. Glancing through the stats on https://dicesites.com/, you can see a couple of sites are doing considerably worse than what they "should be" (i.e. with a Profit/EV ratio considerably below 100%). In particular, Peerbet has a loss of 39.9 BTC after operating for over 2 years and have over 121 million bets.

403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 02, 2016, 02:04:00 PM
i watch match west ham vs liverpool, and liverpool playing so bad. i don't think liverpool can win this match maybe can hope liverpool can made 1 goals and match end with draw.

Ouch Andy Carroll just scored for West Ham in the 55th minute and now Liverpool is down by two goals. It looks like my Liverpool +0.5 bet is likely going to lose lol.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 02, 2016, 01:44:52 PM
For today, I am going to make a parlay for Barcelona -1.5 and Atletico Madrid ML @ 1.854, and to make another straight bet for Celta Vigo +0.5 @ 1.700.
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 02, 2016, 01:39:54 PM
West Ham has hit the post twice and Liverpool is very lucky to be only down by a goal at half time. Liverpool has to be more aggressive in the second half and IMO they have a good chance to make a come back. I am making a live bet on Liverpool +0.5 @ 2.05.
406  Economy / Gambling / Re: powerstars- site was hacked on: January 02, 2016, 01:23:54 PM

Or you can also see the original unedited post through google cache http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1309122.0.

Villarreal 1 - 0 Valencia and I have won my under 2.5 goals bet. Villarreal has consecutively won 3 Li Liga games with clean sheet and may be I would try a win to nil bet next time.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asia League Prediction Thread - Win 5 / 2 Lose on: January 01, 2016, 12:31:23 AM
I saw the match available on directbet, but there is written Emperors Cup not japan cup.

"Emperor's Cup" is the official name for that competition. It is like how somem people called the "Copa del Rey" as Spanish Cup.

409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 01, 2016, 12:21:00 AM
my favorite team Chelsea are on bad situation, Champions League spot seems like to be major target this season , after they kicked out from FA cup already.

You need to face the reality there. They have 1 win in december and mostly draw however thanks to the new manager, they managed to avoid some losses atleast and If chelsea cant beat anything on the local league how do you think that they will handle PSG? they cant win and thats a hard reality for you to face

Chelsea do not have much time left. They need to keep winning their remaining games to have a slim chance of making the Top 4. Otherwise, they will lose a lot of revenue by being out of Europe next season.

i think that is end of the season for Chelsea top 4. many are lagging behind, and Liverpool, Arsenal, Man. City, Totenham looks much better, there are also Leicester, Manchester United, Everton which can be quite hard.

Chelsea is now 15 points behind the 4th place (Tottenham) and 10 points behind the 6th place (Man United). Getting in "top 4" is very unlikely, and they should be happy enough if they can play for Europa League next season.
410  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Primedice is scam! on: December 31, 2015, 11:36:24 PM
Have you verified your bets yourself (check https://primedice.com/verify if you have no idea how to do so)? Also, switching between "over" and "under" helps nothing as the chance of winning is exactly the same.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: December 31, 2015, 11:07:48 AM
For Villarreal vs Valencia today, I would not be surprised to see either side wining or the match ending as a draw. So instead of betting on the result, I will bet on under 2.5 goals @ 1.70.
412  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which site you don't want to gamble in 2016? on: December 31, 2015, 10:55:25 AM
999dice without a doubt. The owner was unable to prove the existence of the claimed bankroll and left bitcointalk instead of trying to explain it (ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=523178.0), and the way their provably fair system works is just bad (ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=948965.0).
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 29, 2015, 12:59:18 PM
I will take under 3 goals @ 1.869 today. Man City has shown ability to score many goals at home, but usually zero or just one goal when they are the away team.
414  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any difference between bot and manual betting.? on: December 29, 2015, 12:45:33 PM
If we use the same strategy, is there any difference between manual and bot. Some of my senior friends say.. it is not safe to use bot, even though it is same strategy..

I request frank opinions from senior members.. so that this thread can be useful for some of our new members ..
If possible.. suggestions may also post in this..please..

With manual betting or automatic betting, your win chance for the same bet is still the same. What the bot do is just to speed up the whole process. Never download or run a bot you got from a random place unless you have checked its source, as it likely contains malicious code to transfer your account balance away and to steal your passwords.
415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 27, 2015, 02:38:09 AM
As expected actually because 80% of yesterdays match won by home team

Hmmm in fact, only 6 matches (60%) are won by the home teams yesterday, 3 matches (30%) end as a draw, and the remaining 1 match (10%) is won by the away team Everton.

Friendly reminder to those registering: Just to play safe, please remember not use the same password you are using on bitcointalk or on other sites.
To OP: Any hint what your game is about, or when it will be live? Also, you should get an SSL certificate for your site before it is ready to launch.

419  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] Best Dice of 2015 on: December 20, 2015, 05:55:10 PM
Thats exactly what i meant, that its NOT a deadline, im a jder and the max bet is like 30% of the bank

The 1.15 mil CLAM shown on JD is the total onsite investment. Investors could use /offsite in the chat to declare some offsite investment. JD actually has the max profit as 0.5% of the total effective bankroll. For details of this, you may refer to the FAQ on JD.
Oh i never readed that FAQ interesting stuff eh. The investors use the offsite invest. Since they use it why would you say its 0.5% like no one uses it? Its used and the risk per roll is way more than 0.5%.

The 0.5% is how JD determines the max profit per bet based on the total effective bankroll (both onsite and offsite). Let me try to explain it with a simple example.
Suppose I invest 100 CLAM in JD, the JD bankroll will increase by 100 CLAM and the max profit will increase by 100*0.5% = 0.5 CLAM. That 0.5 CLAM is how much I can lose at most in one bet to the JD players. Now suppose I love taking more risk, and I enter "/offsite 900" in the chat to declare a 900 CLAM offsite investment (this can be done even though I have no more CLAM in my personal wallet), the site total effective bankroll will increase by 1000 CLAM (100 onsite + 900 offsite). The max profit will increase by 5 CLAM, which is how much I can now lose at most in one bet. So now I am actually risking 5% at most per roll instead of 0.5%, but still the max profit is 0.5% of my total declared investment.
420  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bitcoin bet of 2015? on: December 20, 2015, 05:31:22 PM
A player who is assumed to be an old bettor called mechs did a large bet of over 1300 BTC in a single bet at BetKing.io (former PocketRocketsCasino) a while back. Is there anybody to beat this kind of a bet anymore? The highroller managed to build up hundreds of BTC via small multipliers before losing.

What are your thoughts? Is there any point in betting hundreds of thousands of dollars on dice, even if the site is trusted? I personally feel like I'm betting a crap ton even if the bet sizes are as tiny as 0.1 BTC...

Well 1300 btc is a huge amount to us, but if he is really the "mechs" on JD, it is probably not that much to him. In case someone does not know, mechs is the one making that famous 7000 btc bet on JD in 2013. He lost it, and his reaction is very calm it seems to me.
