761  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to play blackjack 100% effective? on: March 03, 2015, 04:53:53 PM
There are some basic strategies you can find on the web (one example is: http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/strategy/4-decks/). I am not sure how good it is though.

Thats great news. Can't wait for the happy hour. Its always great to have one, and is the best happy hour, amongst all site on gambling Smiley
Happy hour is great and all but it would be really awesome to organize some old school giveaway. Nothing motivated people more than some freebies. PrimeDice knows that well.

The Happy Hour is an 'old school giveaway'. Everybody has a big chance to get free bitcoin. Primedice gives away bitcoin to people who don't even use their website. Not a great way to spend your money imo.

Well IMHO, the two types of giveaway serves a different purpose.
The LB type (wagering 0.01 btc will give you the chance to get chat lotto, a random bet, 5 eligible bets are chosen randomly to get 1 btc bonus) is to reward the existing players and make them more loyal to the site.
The PD type (giving some free credits to bitcointalk, facebook, twitter, reddit users without any wager requirement) is to attract new players to the site and to build a larger customer base.
764  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coin Dicing - 1% House Edge - Premier Bitcoin Gambling! on: March 02, 2015, 07:53:25 AM
The error is still there, when this will be fixed?

Judging from OP's last post, it will probably be fixed next week after he buy more bitcoin through Circle.

Site is temp down, the house got destroyed a few nights ago. I would have had more coins invested but I was limited to $500 a week by circle.

Okay everybody maybe I'm not explaining this well enough. Say I have $100 worth of bitcoins in my wallet and I want to trade the bitcoins for actual $100. How would I do it? Is that better?

Just use your local bitcoin exchanger/ popular exchanger like coinbase. What you worry about that things?

Not worried. I just wanted to know how to turn bitcoins into real dollars. Any suggestions on exchanges?

Coinbase or Circle if you are in US. Bitstamp if you are in SEPA region. Localbitcoins if you don't want to submit personal info and want to make a p2p trade.

Could you give me the links for those sites?

You could get the links easily with google, but anyway here you are.
Coinbase: https://www.coinbase.com
Circle: https://www.circle.com
Bitstamp: https://www.bitstamp.net
localbitcoins: https://localbitcoins.com
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin security when mining is over on: February 28, 2015, 08:11:54 PM
We do not have to increase the transaction fees to compensate. We could increase the transactions within a block.

We certainly don't need to increase the tx fees in order to compensate. But how are we going to increase the transactions within a block? That will increase the incentives the miners could get if ever.

The block size can be increased with a fork. At this moment, a block cannot be larger than 1MB and bitcoin can only handle 7 transactions per second. This is not a big problem now, but if bitcoin becomes more and more widely used in the future, it could be a problem.

768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WANTED: Noob Willing to Learn New Skill/Service to Make Money! on: February 28, 2015, 08:07:13 PM
Like the above persons said, the easiest way is to offer some services for bitcoin. It could be anything, from coding to writing articles to doxxing to cam shows. I am just saying.

Don't waste your time on faucets, as you would only be able to get some cents an hour.

770  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are people incentivized with [btc] to run nodes? on: February 28, 2015, 07:57:03 PM
Bitnodes shows everyone running nodes.

Are these people incentivized to run nodes? If not, why not? If so, do node operators make some BTC from transaction fees, etc.?

thanks

Nope. Bitcoin nodes do not receive any incentives from running it. They just support the bitcoin network like a volunteer or something.

Correct, though people running full nodes could also set up an info page with a donation address for their nodes.
For example, shorena has done so (http://213.165.91.169/) and received a small amount of donation.

You said the house edge is 1.1%, but in fact it is now set at 1.2%.
For x2 bet, win chance is 49.40%. EV = 49.4%*2 = 98.8%.
And for x10 bet, the win chance is 9.88%. EV = 9.88%*10 = 98.8%.

I wasn't able to log in my account a few minutes ago, but it seems it is back up now (at least it is the case for me).
773  Economy / Gambling / Re: What type of player vs player game would you like on: February 28, 2015, 07:08:37 PM
1. Provably Fair
2. No Bot allowed
3. less than 1% house edge Grin

Maybe 2D games like bomberman / mario bros would be nice

IIRC, there was a thread some months ago that someone has developed a PvP bomberman bitcoin game.

EDIT: I found it. The thread is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=832554.0.

I have played at that wheelofsatoshi site months before (and lost of course.)

So did you buy it? Why are giving it for free?

He isn't giving the script out for free, but asking for 5.999 btc for it. Check the satoshibox link in OP and you will see the price.
776  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: February 26, 2015, 11:47:04 AM
Off the web since 10 minutes?

It is still down now, with the error "Undefined index: CNY /var/www/bitcoinwisdom/tmp/app/cono/initialize.php : 62".
777  Economy / Gambling / Re: BinaryBase.co | Binary Options | 100% First Deposit Bonus on: February 24, 2015, 02:00:52 AM
Is the site still down for everybody? I keep refreshing and getting the same error.

Does it work for anybody else?

Hope it wasnt a scam

Yup it is still down. It just shows the following message to me.

Quote
Heroku | No such app

There is no app configured at that hostname.
Perhaps the app owner has renamed it, or you mistyped the URL.

778  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: multiply your Bitcoins tenfold instantly, 25% REFERRAL COMMISSION. on: February 24, 2015, 01:40:35 AM
Your site is exactly like the one in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=965967.0 (first post, .gq, same bs story).

Friendly reminder for you: Your site is x10 not x100, so looks like you forgot to change that in your list of fake transactions. Tongue

If the site owner isn't responsible for the site, then who is? lol..

You have missed the most important word in his whole paragraph. I have marked it red for you. Cheesy

GUYS, come one, the admin has LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE INTERNET. leave him alone. its not like he is responsible for the site! get off your high horse, im sure he will show up this month or the next. your funds are provably safe and not under your control, you have noting to worry about. /sarcasm

.gq ?

What TLD is that ?

.gq domains can be obtained for free for 12 months. That's why a lot of ponzi are built with them.
