1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's price "basically a fire sale"? on: Today at 01:37:45 PM
The StF model have failed back in 2020, due to legitimation of bitcoin, a process which started in 2017.
Legitimation is a process in which something disruptive to the financial status quo is turned into a Wall Street asset, being subjected to paper speculation (eg, ETFs).
Many maximalists asked for legitimation years ago, arguing this would bring "adoption" to crypto. It did bring adoption, but by the wrong people, the very people bitcoin wanted to get away from.
Moving goal posts forward will not work for the StF model. It was doomed after the covid dip. Currently the price is at the mercy of the global financial markets. If bitcoin was not legitimate, price would be above 50k. Since it is, price is going to 5k.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you ready to see Bitcoin at $10 000? on: Today at 12:25:43 AM
Bitcoin is going to $6k.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Arweave on: April 01, 2022, 10:37:08 PM
Anyone know how to access a website made with arweave? Also give me examples of websites, to check how I can access them. Do I need a extension? I'm using chromium.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / BISQ on: June 15, 2021, 08:16:18 PM
How to add a altcoin address to BISQ?

I keep getting this warning "version of code of address not match acceptable versions for network" when I try to add a LTC address on BISQ.
The address comes directly from litecoin-qt, so it is not a invalid address.
So what type of addresses are accepted in BISQ, for LTC? The documentation don't show anything, there is no information about it.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 21, 2021, 03:44:20 PM
Any chance of XMR to catch up with ETH (in terms of price) this year? ETH have the smart contracts, but XMR have the privacy. It should be on top 10.

Also, check Haveno: https://github.com/haveno-dex/haveno
It is a exchange based on BISQ, which is being developed for Monero.
6  Local / Brasil / Re: Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 12, 2021, 07:32:08 PM
7  Local / Brasil / Re: Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 10, 2021, 04:12:53 PM
Bom, fui tentar solicitar, mas recusaram KYC.
Envie selfie quatro vezes, e recusaram.
8  Local / Brasil / Cartão NovaDAX e Rappi on: February 09, 2021, 03:56:22 PM

You made the mistake thinking you sent to the same bitcoin address, although it was different addresses, be it from your wallet or not. Supposing you did not make use of CPFP to spend the unconfirmed output from the first transaction, the transaction will still be confirmed at this time because the fee used for the second and third transaction were even lower than the fee used for the first transaction.

Not really. I knew it was different addresses. The issue was the "n/a" which appeared in the ledger, which made me think it would not need any confirmation for it. But in fact, it does need confirmation, as any other transaction.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:47:22 PM
These transactions received a confirmation each, right now.
I didn't lost the money, then.

Thanks for the information.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:09:39 PM
I suggest you double-spend the first transaction(Use same input and output) but with an additional fee, so that, your first transaction will be rejected.
If you already made a 2nd transaction it will also be rejected.

I cant, because, although I had used the RBF feature, I had spent the change address in the third transaction, so the RBF is no longer available in the first transaction.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 02:03:07 PM

Never reveal your private key to anyone, but can you tell us the txids? If not, what fee did you use to make the transactions (both the first and the second transactions)? The fee will like be the issue as suggested by mocacinno. The fee used for CPFP can also be very smal leading to unconfirmed transactions.

I just forgot to check the wallet when generating the address, so I thought it was in the destination wallet when I sent it.
This is the wrong transaction I made to the same wallet:

https://www.blockchain.com/pt/btc/tx/4158a8721afdf3c26e09aea846a5f5857cfca715dcba014954a3829e8bc2e38b

You see there is a segwit address generated for the change.
Since I thought it would not be confirmed (as it was inside the same wallet), I re-sent from these two address to another two new addresses:

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/8d3e40de7570ec8593dcc09d06f9336c9b7425a8b025e4d8174e2a6ea4d80719

I was doing this clean up because the original address (the one starting with 19WLod) had too many transactions, and I read quantum computers could attack P2PKH addresses with more than one transaction, so I started to slowly transfer between wallets two weeks ago. But this time, I had this oddity of "sending to yourself". I never saw this before. Correct me if I'm wrong, do sending to your own wallet need confirmations? Maybe I just made a mistake when I re-sent to these two new addresses, instead of waiting for it to confirm. I put 100 sat/byte for fee in each transaction, so maybe I'm still early to make any conclusion about it.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Payment to yourself on: February 09, 2021, 01:23:30 PM
I was transfering bitcoin between two wallets, and generating legacy addresses through the console.
However, without noticing it, I generated a address to the wallet which would be sending bitcoin, instead of the one receiving it. I just forgot to select the other wallet in bitcoin-qt.
So the bitcoin was sent to the same wallet, and now have 0 confirmations forever. It appears as "n/a" in the transaction ledger, instead of the address. Also a segwit change address was generated.
Minutes later I tried to send this bitcoin (0.12 actually) from these both adresses (the legacy and segwit) to another new legacy adress in the other wallet. This time I paid attention to it and selected the right wallet.
However, these are both unconfirmed as well. Blockchain.com also shows the first wrong transaction as unconfirmed.
Will these two transactions be confirmed, since the first one (payment to yourself) was not? Or did I lose the money due to this mistake?
15  Local / Brasil / Re: WARNING - Bittrex bloqueou meus fundos - não quer desbloquear a conta. on: January 02, 2021, 01:41:27 PM
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 02, 2021, 01:30:26 PM
Bittrex sucks. I stopped using them many months ago, because, while their fees over swing trades are small, their fees over transfers are huge, which is bad for those who wants to hold the coins.
I have been using Changelly now, which transfers between your own wallets. They dont have a book, so not a place for swing traders. I think we have a nice entry point for Monero here, and if you want to buy, now its the time.
17  Local / Criptomoedas Alternativas / Kleros on: November 20, 2020, 06:16:00 PM
Temos advogados no recinto?
20  Economy / Reputation / Re: In re #778641 “fabiorem” on: October 22, 2020, 08:54:04 PM
The rest of the following is also malicious nonsense, considered as a whole:

Bitcoin is finally going up, the way I described it earlier: it needs to breach the 12k to start the bull run, and its finally happening. And now I'm also stacked with altcoins, so the gains might be even higher. I'm invested in Ethereum, Link, Monero and Cardano. All great projects.

So bitcoin going up is malicious nonsense. Thanks for clarifying.
