1361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer and Crypto Guru Gambles Away Investor Funds on: January 12, 2023, 12:43:53 PM
Quote from: gamblingnews.com
DNP3 confessed to having gambled away all investors’ funds, the result of debilitating gambling addiction which forced him into desperation. DNP3 said that his addiction began unexpectedly, and it quickly took a hold of him.

DNP3 confessed to having spent all money he could find on a popular crypto gambling brand, chasing elusive big wins. “Even when the big wins did happen it wasn’t enough,” the streamer said. He admitted to having lost everything – including not only the investors’ funds but also his own savings.
I knew this guy because i followed him on twitter on his philanthropist activities on the platform also on twitch, that was a year ago, i guess. And was surprised after reading this news.
The act of using the investors funds without their consent is illegal in any way, worst if you gamble it all.

Well, when gambling addiction hits you, no matter how rich or poor you are, this will be a possible illness to every gambler. That's why gambling moderately.

I just read this news which has posted few days ago but never saw this topic on gambling related boards from 1-5 pages. Let me know if there's an existing discussion related to this so i can lock this instead.

This issue is the main reason why Twitch started to ban gambling streams on their platform. I'm not sure if this is the exact case or just similar before but there was a gambling streamer before that asked funds for his viewer and gamble it lives stream. This kind of activity is illegal even with the full consent of the viewers. This is another form of scam because he is using influence to ask for money for his gambling needs.
1362  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Would Anyone Be Against Self Defense? on: January 11, 2023, 02:32:58 PM
Allowing self-defence such as carrying a gun legally will just make people fearsome about making a commotion. People with bad intentions can use self-defence to assault someone legally by just provoking there target. I believe you will not need self-defence if guns are not allowed to carry by anyone except by the police and other military units. US violence increases tremendously when guns become legal in some states. Putting the law into the hand of there own citizens to decide when to shoot or not is really a bad decision. They should just improve there police and monitoring unit to provide a better safety rather than a self-defence mechanism that involves gun.

It's also worth noting that there are regulatory changes that could happen in different countries, which could also have a big impact on the market. For example, a more permissive regulatory environment could help to boost the adoption of cryptocurrencies and prices, while a more restrictive environment could have the opposite effect.

It is important to remember that, despite the predictions, this is a highly speculative and volatile market. As with any investment, you should be prepared for the potential risks and do your own research before making any decisions.

Can you provide a reference to this statement of yours because most of the country is prioritizing there own CBDC rather making a regulatory changes in favor to crypto. Besides it will be very hard for governent to fully backed crypto for there people due to the high risk involved of crypto due to it volatility. I said this because my country still categorized crypto as very risky asset that consumer needs to stay away. I will be surprised that some rich country will do what you stated above that's why I ask for a reference to back your opinion.
1364  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie - need your advice after first trades (image joined) thnk you in advance on: January 09, 2023, 12:45:09 PM
You’re only burning money on the trading fees with your small trade. You can earn more if you will just buy and hold for a week rather than continuously doing small trade since your gain is just small as the fee you are using per trade. For that small capital of yours, I suggest to you to trade in long term basis or add some small leverage if you want to earn good profit that equivalent to your waiting time.

The time and effort that you put on that trade is not worthy for a 0.51$ profit for a week mate. I’d rather focus on my job and have an overtime pay compared to that small return that requires too much of my time.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My MetaMask account is gone !! on: January 09, 2023, 11:44:28 AM
WHAT !?!?
I haven't checked my MetaMask account for about a month, and now a go back and try to check it and it's not there !!
I went to the MetaMask website it gives me two options:
create new account, Import passphrase ( or something like that ) I did not want to create a new account, so I entered
my 12 word seedphrase there and then it asks me to create a new password. WHy would I want to create a new
password when the old one should still work, however there was no option to enter the old password so I created a new one
( same as the old one ) . Once I entered those details now it takes me to a brand NEW ACCOUNT with nothing on it !! ZERO assets !!
WTF ?!? This is not what I want ! Where is my old account !? I had 7K worth of assets there and now ? where is it ?
What's the point of a seedphrase if you can't retrieve your old account !!

Did you add account to your metamask address and deposit your balance in there? It’s normal that you will create new password if you import again your seed phrase to metamask after your account logout. Probably you clear data of your browser which results to automatically logout of your metamask.

Try to keep adding account on your metamask after you input your seed-phrase until you see the account that holds your balance. This happened to me before when I add new account on my metamask and deposit coins on the extra address.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 11:39:03 AM
If you are in my shoe right now, what gambling token do you think you can take a risk on and add to your crypto portfolio and why?

If I were on your shoe, I will not on gambling tokens and focus on blockchain coins such us Bitcoin, Ethereum and others that is currently on down trend too. Most of this gambling tokens lost already the hype and you can see a same trend on all of this token which is downtrend. Gambling industry in web3 is not that hype anymore since centralized casino is still the top choice of gamblers.

You will just burn money by investing on gambling tokens since most of them is still not finished on there token vesting for the circulating supply. I will wait for the perfect time when there’s no new token being mint before I purchase these tokens.
1367  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: January 09, 2023, 09:24:05 AM
I’m always participating on Duelbits promo but I’m betting too on other sports which is not promo. So I’m sad that I experienced this even though I’m not on winning streak or on profit.  Roll Eyes

This really sting but as I read the notification email screenshot. They are just restricting you on participating promotions that means you are not profitable for them when you participate on there promotion.

Probably you made a lot of profit from there bonus while you only lose small amount on your regular be. This is the reason why they have a special line on terms that they can exclude any user without the need to explain everything. I doubt that you can get clear answer here but I’m sure it’s related on your profit when participating promotion.

Any bettor for the upcoming MAN vs Chelsea clash again on FA Cup? Ace is boosting the bets for over 2.5 goal from its original odds of 1.7. Although there recent match ended to low scoring but still this 2 team has a high capability of high scoring game that’s why taking this promotion bet is very good because this can be considered as valued bets already.

You can still place a prematch bet to avail the promotion. Click the link below for the promotion page.

https://duelbits.com/promotions/man-city-chelsea-odds-boost

My congratulations to those who bet on this promotion. Manchester United dominates Chelsea with an early 3-0 on the first half. They give so many penalty kick that result for 2 easy goal for Man plus the last goal with a very solid assist.

I was hoping that this game will be low score game due to there previous match on the English Premier yet Chelsea seems so afraid to attack while Man keeps pressuring them. This match is pretty one sided.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Cassino Continue With Wagering Requirements, If Abuse is Eliminated? on: January 08, 2023, 03:42:33 PM
One thing that has disturbed me a lot lately and that has awakened my thoughts lately is casino bonuses and how it works, if you can recall, most of the casinos offer various bonuses and other promotions because that is one of the fasted ways to attract new and old players to continue playing on the casino. But one of the major challenges that gamblers face with these bonuses and promos are the rules that are attached to them, e.g wagering requirements and other rules that need to be met before withdrawals are processed.
This led me to this question
1: What is your opinion on casinos that offers wagering requirements on both deposit and bonuses?
2: what do you think, if all necessary security checks are up to 100% and Abuse is totally eliminated from casinos, do you think gambling sites will make a no wagering requirement on their bonuses?
3: what conditional do you think could perfectly replace the wagering requirement in a casino that will serve players' purposes and also protect the revenue of the casino

No because that’s the defense mechanism of casino not to only be protected from abusers but also from regular player to not easily claim the bonus. We all now that casino is not a charity and bonuses is just there way to attract there customers to play and potentially lose along the completion of its requirements. Also there’s no such way that abuser will be remove out of the picture.

1. Most of the casino has wagering requirements for deposit and bonuses so this is pretty normal nowadays to avoid abuser and laundering.

2.No as explained above

3. I believe hitting a certain profit amount is an alternative to wagering requirements.

Doubt that marketing cost is the real reason. How much they would have saved with that? Few thousands per week? Compared to what they spent daily on platform competitions that is nothing. The only reason I see - their signature campaign on BTT does not bring much new customers.

It’s because they doing there signature campaign here seasonal and short time span duration. Stake, Duelbits, Rollbit and other reputable casino here has a long running campaign for more than years and see the result for yourself. You can’t expect that customers will easily see the signature ads here if the duration is just short. It requires time to build momentum here but its worth-it once you establish the market for the casino.

FYI. All casino has daily tournament. Don’t tell me that big casino with long running signature campaign here doesn’t get anything on there campaign here.
well actually if they dare to spend money every week to finance a signature campaign of course they will get new gamblers in their casino but keep in mind how many ads are displayed out there do they reach the target in a short time, I don't think so, everything needs to be processed long term so can get new users to gamble in their casino from that signature campaign many big casino sites here are still running their signature campaign

Actually you are just re-echoing what I posted above so I obviously doesn’t need the keep in mind advice since that’s exactly my original thought.  Cheesy

In addition to what you re-echoed statement, I just want to point out that signature campaign is sometimes just useless if users participating on it doesn’t provide good post spread in the forum to target more users that is not aware to the promoted casino. Most of the campaigns focus on gambling board alone while most of the user visiting this board is not all an active gambler and just posting for campaigns.

There’s still a lot of potential customer out there on Bitcoin and Altcoin discussion section since some risky traders are gamblers too.

Yeah, and cryptocurrency exchanges arent supposed to be used as bank also, but we all know how people care about that.

I dont intend to keep BTC on a gambling platform for ages. But tell me, how often you see people people deposit>gamble>withdraw their funds? Usually they make a deposit and keep it on a platform until they win enough or lose. I think a lot just keep their funds there until they win the amount they have set as a goal. I am saying this because someone could have deposited a hundred two weeks ago, and if he would have withdrawn, he could have 105 dollars right now instead of a 100.

You have a point if the scenario you are only assuming is if crypto will pump but how about when crypto dump while you deposit your coin on casino to 10% or more? Is having a stable balance is worst than losing part of it while it’s just sitting on your casino balance?

Duelbits value customer balance so that everyone can play without worrying about bear market. If you are concerned on the price increase of your token then you should not depositing it on casino and just wait for it to become stable before you play or you can just split your bank roll and just deposit half of it on the casino.

The beauty of this kind of system was you can choose different token/coin when you withdraw based on the current market price.
1373  Economy / Economics / Re: If your passive income beats inflation rate, deposit might be a better choice. on: January 07, 2023, 04:14:45 PM
The OP has valid ideology when it comes to his finances. The only problem on this analysis was he assumed that his expenses is fixed to value he gives which don’t give any room for additional expenses for improvement of his life like better apartment, food and other things to improved his life. Not to mention the future expenses for having a family and raising a child. The computation of OP only assumes a regular life that revolves on same routine until the end which makes him contented on a 3% bank interest rate over more chance of earnings for the money being stagnant on bank deposits.
1374  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: January 07, 2023, 03:24:17 PM

A casino that has a minimum deposit of 1 dollar and a minimum withdrawal of 5 dollars is what would always be ideal for me, I know that casinos like this don't exist, they always require a higher amount in account or when withdrawing, but a casino that offers this This type of withdrawal would be the best, but for players who are on a low budget but like to play and enjoy, players who have a lot of money it is quite common that this type of thing does not affect them, because they handle very large amounts, and the The casino has no problem processing withdrawals automatically, but I also know that there are many who would take advantage of making micro withdrawals and that would not be good either.

The reason why only few casino nowadays offer this kind of low withdrawal amount is because they often give promotion that gives user micro rewards. This high withdrawal amount will limit those users that only benefiting on the casino giveaways to not easily cash it out to there wallets.

Some casino offer free withdrawal so I doubt that this high withdrawal is mainly due to the high transaction fee.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 07, 2023, 12:42:19 PM

ToS are not very reliable as usually any business reserves the right to change them and essentially are wording them in a way to give themselves a maximum privilege over players. It's important to remember that ToCs do not supersede the law.

And there's absolutely nothing shady about arbitrage bets Smiley

And what law exactly if you willfully accept it during the registration process. I once a believer too of what you are believing but the recent event on the crypto world that show great example of this.

If you don’t mind sharing a little bit OT on gambling. Celsius holders lose already there money on court battle.

The judge, Martin Glenn, found that Celsius’s terms of use — the lengthy contracts that many websites publish but few consumers read — meant “the cryptocurrency assets became Celsius’s property.”

If ToS is not legally accepted then how come a crypto company use it to win a court battle?
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 07, 2023, 12:03:43 PM
There was one certain time around 2021 when some sports prediction codes were shared among gamblers, but after the game, there were a lot of winnings, and the betting site cancelled the game due to the many winnings. As of then, I knew of a guy who won about $17k; I can't remember how much he staked then, but the game was cancelled.
Not sure what type of game are you referring to, but ususally when the game is cancelled then there are no winners or losers. If the bet was won and casino decided not to pay out the winnings - then it was nothing but a fraud.

There’s some instances on tennis match that the game is mark as canceled when the player retired on the middle of the game. Some bets are still tag as cancelled even if it won already like bets on total score due to the game didn’t finish at all as per ToS of some sportsbook. It’s important to read ToS because some of them includes rule to make some situations in favor to them.

On his example. I think he is pertaining on old issue that sportsbook cancelled all the bet of the player due to the involvement of user to shady bets such as fixed match and arbitrage bets. There’s no reported issue that casino cancelled match while it is won without a valid reason.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to get a hardware wallet in a bitcoin banned country? on: January 07, 2023, 11:12:29 AM
I made a tutorial before on scenario like this because I though that there’s no official reseller on my country. You can purchase it online using a drop shipping service. You can order online on trezor and use drop shipping address to receive the parcel then those parcel will be delivered to you once it arrived on the drop shipping address.

I’m sure hardware wallet is not illegal since this is just a device so you will not gonna have a problem on doing this. Find a trusted drop shipping services on your country.

1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 06, 2023, 05:07:53 PM

Once a gamble bring his luck and then lottery ga will change his/her life cause we all know how much the jackpot prize is. Imagine if you are the one who hit the jackpot then Once in a while you will be a millionaire or even a billionaire depends on the country where you bet in. But most that is has a million price which is quite big enough. But the jackpot of the lottery is very hard to hit cause there are many combinations .

I know that imagining how much money you can possibly win on lottery is really encouraging to do a random bets for fun but bear in mind that only few people win the  jackpot prize in the lottery compared to the amount of bets made on it. It’s not bad on dreaming to win one day but I personally disregarded the chance of winning on lottery and just focus on my job to get money slowly after realizing that winning a lottery is almost zero chance.

Those people that regularly placing bets will already save too much money if they just save instead of betting it.
1379  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀MOONBET.IO Community-Owned Crypto Casino 💸 $100 USDT Deposit Bonus on: January 06, 2023, 04:05:29 PM
I hope all of our suggestions here can be considered by the Moonbet development team.
so, if MBET can be used to bet on its own platform, it will make the MBET token seem to have a clear function or value and not just for trading or just holding it.
gamblers, of course, would also like a lot if MBET tokens could be registered on coins that could be bet on Moonbet.

and yesterday I tried to discuss or make suggestions directly to their telegram group, and they tried to consider my suggestions.
I hope it will be implemented soon

If you do a back reading on previous post especially last year when they first launch there signature campaign. Many users already point out the lack of utility of there tokens in the casino because it only serves as reward token without any function aside from selling it or stake it(not sure if this feature already available). The considers it too before but until I’m surprised that it’s not implemented.

I doubt that reviving this subject matter to them will gonna make any changes because they should done it at the first place when they stat to introduce MBET tokens.
1380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer @lukedashjr's wallet was hacked on: January 05, 2023, 01:14:44 PM
He should track and contact the exchanges asking them to freeze the funds incase the hacker tries to deposit in any of the top ones to convert the coins into stables.
That is good. CZ from Binance has already replied to his tweet:

Trying to exchange 3mil won't be so easy, any sight of these coins on a Cex and these coins will certainly get frozen.... Btw can a mixer freeze such coins knowing that they are tagged stolen in the event they try to clean them Huh

didnt SBF (of FTX fame) cash out like 600+ million USD of some crypto on non KYDd exchanges a just few weeks ago? so it seems possible.

Fair enough, There some exchange that still doesn’t required KYC and allow 2BTC deposit and withdrawal per day. Also there are some DEX that let user buy and sell bitcoin for fiat P2P like Bisq. I believe a 200BTC can be easily cash out nowadays due to the P2P offered by DEX.
