Both ideas are fool proof.

OK so you are saying with latest version of GUI miner scrypt, it will just work with a 7950?

Also, how do I tell which version I am running...?
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: March 23, 2013, 09:29:44 PM
Update: 3-20-13
cgminer versions 2.11.3 and up can be used to mine with high thread concurrencies now.  Follow these instructions:
WINDOWS: Open console and type
Code:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Now, close the console (it will not work if you open cgminer in the same window).  Open cgminer using a .bat or a new console, high thread concurrencies will now work.

Hey Im using GUIminer Scrypt, can I configure it to work properly with a 7950 now? Can I edit a config to make the change or do I need to open the console? A little more detail would be great Im not great with command lines...
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Internet Currency will Prevail in the Years to Come? on: March 23, 2013, 11:49:22 AM
There is BTC, LTC, and then everything else far behind. Ripple is like worse than fiat currency.

Semi-centralized control at the start, with breaking free a top priority.
Thanks for the feedback.

Grin Really hilarious man. Im dying over here  Cheesy

1207  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin now the strongest currency in the world? on: March 22, 2013, 09:56:37 PM
Absolutely the strongest. I mean, what else could lose 50% of its value overnight and still be 30x more valuable than the next "strongest" currency?
1208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1500+ bounty for litecoin 51% attack on: March 21, 2013, 06:58:04 PM
This "bounty" is a joke, even for $25k I think this would be very hard to pull off.

Anyway, the LTC network is getting much more secure over the last month or two, I think by summer it should be very, very secure.

1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GUIMiner-scrypt: A GUIMiner fork for mining scrypt chains on: March 17, 2013, 04:03:38 PM
Hey, how does this work with overclocking? Set it up via a config or use CCC/Afterburner?

Also, Im having issues connecting to a pool, I can solomine fine via localhost 9332 but when I enter my pool info it never connects.

Yet, I have no trouble connecting using the same info in cgminer...

Anybody got settings for a 6950.  I have a 3 card setup and trying all kinds of speeds but cant seem to go past 314 or so.  Stock 820/1250 yields 314kh per card with 7040 concurrency and I 18 (1408 shaders not unlocked one).  I'm using 12.10 drivers under Win 7 x64 cgminer.  I have 8GB of system RAM but I'm not seeing how others are getting 400-500.  Heat is also an issue with the cards hitting 84c even with 65% fan.

Reaper is working great on my 7950s - getting a stable 635kh.

Im using GUIminer for scrypt (cgminer) and I get roughly 440kh/s out of my non modded (no bios flash), non reference 1GB 6950.

Its set for 18 aggression and other default values for the 6950, and my clocks are 900/1250, I manually set fan to 67% and temps are around 80c
1213  Economy / Gambling / http://crypto-games.us .... Legit site? on: March 13, 2013, 02:50:36 PM
http://crypto-games.us/ltcdice.php

I sent them 10LTC on a whim getting 3-1, the result hasnt been recorded on their site and the LTC was never returned even after an email.

Im guessing either the site isnt legit or my transaction got borked in the fork?
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All time highest litecoin mining difficulty? on: March 10, 2013, 03:21:18 PM
BUMP Its hovering around 39 thats pretty brutal, it looks like the hashrate came down a little but the difficulty remains pinged deep in the redzone.
1215  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining litecoins, more profitable? on: March 06, 2013, 06:45:28 AM
Nvidia cards arent that good. Its going to be pretty slow and marginally worth it if at all cause of power use, and its hard on the video card.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3/3/13 LTC rally never forget on: March 05, 2013, 03:37:26 PM
BTC has had its share of rallies but LTC going from $.06 to $.20 in less than a week is bananas!

1217  Economy / Services / Looking for Litecoin Developer on: March 05, 2013, 01:10:55 PM
Im looking for a NYC based developer who can do the back end work integrating a payment system for Litecoin into existing gambling software. If you have experience developing for Bitcoin, Litecoin is almost identical. Please reply via PM with any references, experience, links to your work or a resume, and what your rates are.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Looking for LTC developer for back end of gambling software on: March 05, 2013, 12:41:31 PM
Hello, Im looking for a developer who has experience with BTC/LTC for the development of gambling software.

If you are located in the NYC area, this is a huge plus. Plus PM me with your references/resume and rates. Thank you.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3/3/13 LTC rally never forget on: March 05, 2013, 09:57:15 AM
It hit $.16, came back down a bit, but this insane. I had predicted a long term valuation of 1/100th of a BTC, but that was by the end of the year or 2014. It might be $.25 a coin by the end of March/April at this rate, which is a ridiculous rally. If it drops back down to $.10 a coin, which looks unlikely, Im buying a ton of them.
1220  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining Hardware Delivery if ordered now on: March 05, 2013, 07:18:05 AM
Quote of BFL_JOSH: "If you are ordering today, your expected ship date is sometime in the latter half of April as an estimate. Possibly sooner, but expect sometime in April."

Thats BS, Josh knows it, there is no way they have capacity to fill 20,000 orders in 6 weeks.

Shit, they dont even have capacity to answer emails in a timely fashion.
