1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: Today at 11:20:53 AM
Buddy Hield is the new splash brother as they say and yes, he's trying to prove himself that he's got some good hands. I'm waiting for more games of him and let's see if he's going to be consistent as expected.

Second game against the Kings, not sure if this is back to back for both teams, but the Warriors got another steal as this is a come from behind win. Buddy Hield had 10 points, but he has some ridiculous outside 3 in the second or third quarter if I'm not mistaken.

So yes, maybe he is going to be the new splash brother in the Warriors uniform. Or simply be Buddy Hield who is going to play very hard this season to help the Warriors to be on top of the West again, although it's going to be very hard to do.
He's for sure going to be another key player for the Warriors since Klay has left and he's the one to replace him.

He will get a lot of experience from Chris Paul for sure. But the Spurs should also get some players to really support Wemby specially in the second year. Yeah, there could be a lot of comparison with him and Giannis, when Giannis came he was also skinny as well but developed into one of the best.
In fairness with Wemby, he added some thickness for this year and that means progress to him. He's still got a lot of years to the NBA and he's now the front runner of Spurs, we just have to hope that he won't have any critical injury.

Yes, it is coming indeed. I am curious if some folks in here are betting on these preseason games? Because if someone is up for fun, this is the type of games that we've like to have on but I am careful with the few bucks that I'd bet and just waiting for the regular season to come. We have less than 2 weeks for the regular season starts.
And how many dollars are you willing to bet? Just a few bucks for the sake of an experiment or something like that? Of course, there are those forum members among us who bet on sporting events. Including basketball. It is a wonderful sport with its own unique features. A huge sport. You can completely immerse yourself in all this for a long time)
Not that much at all, if I have some spare money to use then I'd do so.

I haven't bet at all, still pre-season, might be good to just see how the teams are playing, specially those who move to a new team and see how and where they fit in that new team. So far Klay for me had a good game, same with Buddy Hield, so I guess it's very much fair that both teams ended with a win-win situation. Obviously, the big news is Bronny James and Lebron playing together and makes history. In a few minutes we will see Sacramento and Warriors again. Warriors took the first game, and they are still the underdog here, so let's see if they can pull another upset and for those bettors who are going with them, then good luck, currently at 1.95.

The season is quickly coming upon us.

Why not, it’s better to start practicing early so we’re ready for the regular season. But the range or amount I’m betting in preseason is different—it’s just to warm up, not as serious as the regular season. So far, I’ve been losing, but it’s still manageable.
That makes sense.

The real battle is in the regular season, and we can talk about our bets in the "NBA betting" thread then.
Thanks, I've forgotten about that thread and will just probably go there if it's about betting. And for some other games that just happened, the Pacers and Cavaliers got a good game today. Pacers won though.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the difference between those gambling for fun and for profit. on: October 10, 2024, 10:40:39 PM
There are gamblers that do gamble for fun, really. But the huge difference ofcourse is having money to spend and gamble for without having the thought of recovering them. The gamblers that do it for profit are stressed at most times when there's still a huge amount to chase and that's how many losses more money.

I think even in the first world countries, there are complains like this that they're not getting what they deserve. It means that it's a global problem and all we have to do is to focus on ourselves and do whatever we can do to make ourselves better. Because whether there is or there is no government, it is us that shall make our lives predict and do what must be done in order for us to live accordingly to what we want to.
If we see the reality, it is time for the government realizes what they must do with their corrupt officers so they can runs their program properly. They must investigates their officers who commit corruption and punish them so slowly they can clean their government from those people. Corruption is a global matter that needs to be solve immediately before their country lose the chance to grow to be better.

It is not easy to clean the corruption especially if that was happen from a long time ago. It needs honesty and braveness from all officers to work better for their people. If their country can grow, that will benefit all of the people. Hopefully, the tax can be distribute to the right places.
You know the thing about government is easy to say and dictate. But when it's about the actuality of it, these officials in the government are like friends. Although there's always politics on it but in the end, it's always the same agenda for them and that's about the money that they're going to share from all of the taxation that they'll get including in gambling and under the tables.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian Government plans to begin taxing gambling. on: October 08, 2024, 10:43:36 PM
It's the same in our country, such taxes aren't really put into good use but into the pockets of the crocs. It's sad that the developing countries have inept officials that instead of helping people, they're putting themselves first and forgetting to help why they're being elected and put into their positions.

Unfortunately, that's the reality for most countries. Corruption is still rampant everywhere. Lucky if you are residing in a country where corruption is minimal. Because with tax alone, government can already improve the lives of their constituents. However, with corruption involved, a lot of funds are going to the pockets of these irresponsible politicians.

8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do casino platforms allow bots in their dice games? on: October 08, 2024, 09:45:38 PM
I think that I have seen some dice bots in the past. But I don't know if many still uses them so, if you're having the idea of using it for an specific casino, you should ask the representative or support of them through chat to clarify if it's allowed or not. It's better to hear it from them if you already have that prospect. Some suggestions are also fine though.
Ensuring the casino about using a bot is necessary to avoids from breaking their rules. We don't know if the casino still allows that so we have to ask to their representative in this forum or directly to ask to their support system. I am sure they will explain more better than what we found from here or other places because we asked about their permissions to use a bot for a dice game.

By asking the casino, we don't risk our account because they think we cheat them which they don't like. So if they allow the use of a bot for dice games, we can use it without worrying about anything.
Yes. It is better if you'll confirm and ask it first before using that OP wants to use. While they have some features that someone can just roll the dice automatically or with some specific numbers of rolling. If not confident, better consult than to put the account into risk and trouble of being halted and triggered due to the usage of a third party bot.

As long as they're paying a lot of money to the protectors then they will be protected. Maybe next time we'll see a lot of them being exposed and it's all just a matter of time when. Or when the administration changes and we're in a new governance, they should be fair to all but it's all about how much money their competitors can give to whom who.

These illegal POGOs operated like shabu laboratories in the past, often hidden inside hotels and private subdivisions where they went undetected.
Yeah, there were some news during the past admin that they've operated like drug dens too.

Recently, our city mayor declared that our city was free from illegal POGOs. However, just a month later, an illegal POGO was raided, highlighting the authorities’ oversight.
Maybe your mayor lack of intel for that pogo and that's why just after a month, it was exposed and raided. Still, a win for the local government there that it was taken down.

Hello everyone

a little bit arises in wanting to ask about the use of Bots in dice games, maybe questions like this are often asked but I have not received a definite answer

Are bots in dice games prohibited?

Which casinos allow Bots?

I need advice from more experienced friends

thank you if you are willing to give advice

Yeah, I'll take the prize money as well and wouldn't mind have it taxed at all. Even in the US, there are taxes that they need to deduct as per winning prize money.
That's why they're used to say about 'after-taxes' prize money and that's because taxation bureau there is very strict and if there are violators, they'll be fine with bigger amounts.
The important thing is that in the US, such taxes are being used to make useful contributions to society. The taxes can be called very high, but then the people will receive other better services in return, while in countries like Nigeria, and even in many other countries, this tax money is not intended to fill the treasury to serve the people, it fills the pockets of some corrupt classes. Besides, the governments of these countries are relatively strict and do not create much space for casino owners, it feels like they do not prioritize the gambling industry as a service that should develop when the national financial system does not depend on this industry.
It's the same in our country, such taxes aren't really put into good use but into the pockets of the crocs. It's sad that the developing countries have inept officials that instead of helping people, they're putting themselves first and forgetting to help why they're being elected and put into their positions.

Mate, I don't know when we'll have those officials again that have the pure heart in serving. Okay, let's give it to the current administration that they're able to take down these POGOs but they are hiding something that somewhere in Cavite, there's still one big politician-backed POGO that still operates in an island there. So, what the government did is just took down a competitor of the other.
I believe so, they just pointed those competitors and established their own, the good catch here is they control the law so they can simply hide those extablishements that still doing the same business, though just for the sake of giving them that compliment as those text promotions are now been limited to none after the president declares his position against illegal POGOs.

Well, bill is just a bill. It's not yet a law and I think that you're quite confused with that or this is what's working in our country. But these briberies are pretty normal in our country. That's sad that even the law enforces are getting involved and they're doing it as if that's already part of their routine and a normal thing to be done.

Sad to say that there are more corrupt officials than those who are working fairly, from that sense, there's always a chance that even there's already a order about it, those people behind can still continue as they can easily work it out with corrupt officials that will protect the business and will let them facilatate the business.

No further update though as we observe there are no text about promotions about casino offers, that's part of the great news after it was been address by the President.

Yeah, it's a huge jackpot and life changing win. And also, another condition is that whoever made that raffle says that it is tax-free then it is going to be tax free. It's either exempted from the taxes or they're the ones that are going to be obliged paying the taxes. So, on top of the jackpot money, if they'll be paying it then that's a lot of money on them to pay for.

I believe it’s a withholding tax, where the government makes sure they get their cut, so your net winnings are what’s left after the tax deduction. It used to be tax-free, but now it seems the government is eager to grab a bigger share of people's money. Personally, I wouldn’t mind being taxed on a lottery win rather than not winning at all --after all, the odds of winning the lottery are nearly impossible, almost like throwing money down the drain.

If you mean lottery winnings in the Philippines it used to be tax-free, but when the TRAIN law was implemented, things changed as it's already 20% tax.

But this is fine since it's a lottery winning, meaning it's a huge jackpot that could change your life forever.  Smiley

In the Old Tax law (NIRC), lotto winnings and all PCSO prizes are tax exempt. If you are fond of watching lotto draws everynight, you will always notice that the host will always say that lotto winnings are tax free.

Moreover, in the Old NIRC, prizes are subject to final tax of 20% except if the amount of the prize is Php 10,000 or less which shall be subjected to normal tax. Winnings on the other hand are subject to 20% final tax regardless of amount.

In the new TRAIN Law, winnings (except PCSO and Lotto winnings amounting to Php 10, 000 or less) are subject to a final tax of 20%.

Nope, a bill is still a bill and needs to be passed before becoming a law. So, in short, it's not yet a law and there's no need to obey with that. But in our country, even it becomes a law, there are too many lawbreakers and the rich ones able to step up the laws and follow what they think is right because the enforcers of the law can be fed with money.
That's right because they think that bill is just a bill that can be breaking if there are no attention from the regulator. Besides that, the enforcers can be bribe for some money and even they can protect the business from the inspection from the other enforcers. That will makes  the bill can not fully work because every time enforcers want to catch them, they can hide and run away from the investigation. It need a clean enforcers who can avoids the bribe or other things so they can work regard from the bill.

I just checked most of gambling platforms that supports cryptocurrency, I still can't see upcoming games of PBA.
Converge vs San Miguel Beermen in the game tomorrow, I want to bet badly now as I only have free time now  Grin

Does anyone know which platform already has a match available to be able start betting on?
They were just late and for checking in vave, they already have it. So, most bookies probably have this match already listed.

You can also try looking it up on Sportsbet or Stake - they seem to have similar and updated lines. Just go to the basketball section, and you'll find it there.
I agree. Most likely that they have the match already when one bookie has it, the rest follows it at the same time.

In short, even with such laws, if there’s no strict enforcement, nothing will really change.
This is true, despite that bills have been made into laws. There is no enforcement on it, the banned services, platforms and casinos can easily still be accessed by everyone. It's sad that this is the type of government that we have and it's unlikely to change every administration.
We'll all relying on it for as much as we can be and we're just tolerating it at all because we're powerless.
The bill will be bill while that needs to obey the bill and not doing something wrong. But the government needs to watch out the illegal online gambling or even underground casino because with the prohibition from the government, people will be careful to visits the casino. They will not says many things about gambling to many people because the government watch them and will arrest them if they breaks the rules.

That will not be easy to eradicates gambling if that is already rooted from a long time ago. Maybe the government needs to use another approach for their people so they can realize about the danger of gambling. After all, it is not easy to give understanding to people who often playing gambling.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 U.S. Presidential Election Bets! on: October 02, 2024, 09:44:13 PM
According to the RealClearPolling no-Tossup map, Pennsylvania has once again swung to Donald Trump, after Kamala was ahead for almost two weeks. Trump now holds a razor-thin lead of 0.2% in this state in aggregate of polls. And this means that Trump/Vance is now ahead in electoral college by a margin of 281 vs 257. We have just around 5-6 weeks to go for the elections and if the opinion polls are correct this time (they were horribly wrong in both 2016 and 2020), then the winner of the election may not be announced immediately due to several close contests.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/maps/president/2024/no-toss-up/electoral-college
I have a question, that this means that Pennsylvania has already won by Trump and opinion polls like this usually are the same during the election day? How accurate usually these opinion polls are? Pardon me as I am starting to follow this.

Polls do not equal the political reality of the United States whatsoever. That is something one needs to understand from the first move one does when getting into geopolitics also the inner politics of the United States. Those polls are made with a sample of the population, which means the poll could be biased or inaccurate, depending on the team behind them.
Look for example what happened during the midterm elections of 2022, according to polls the Republican party was supposed to gain advantage over the Democrat party both in the Senate and in the House of Representatives, it did not happen.

So if you are new at betting and American politics, I would recommend you to be skeptical of pols and see a little bit more how betting markets react to the actions of both candidates.
Okay, thank you. I understand it now and here in our country in the PH, I can compare that with what we call 'survey'. But just as you've said, many of us don't believe with it anymore because they can be manipulated and even the trusted organization that will conduct that can get paid by pretty much hefty amount of money just to mind condition the people. It's also important in our country who will be elected there in the US because of the tension in our seas against China.
