Cheesy

124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: February 05, 2024, 04:21:47 PM
With that logic and point of view, someone who's seeing it with gambling is likely to get more in debt. That's sad but there's no improvement with that thinking and understanding if they see some resolution through gambling with their situations.
However, someone who frequently gambles should not see debt as providing a solution for them when they have no money. They should be able to restrain themselves from gambling when they don't have money.
They should just think about looking for a job to make money so they can allocate some money for their gambling activities. A person who is still in debt will run into problems sooner or later and when he realizes it, he really has difficulty solving the problem. Yes, it is sad but they should try to solve the problem by paying back their debts and never borrowing money again.
Yeah, having a job is the main solution for paying off the debts that a gambler has. There's no need to rethink of it and just look at the part when you can easily pay it with your salaries. You have to talk to the person that you owe money and explain that you'll pay it eventually with the use of your salary without any other sources like gambling again. Because it has already taught you on how to be better with yourself and it's not the way on how you should pay your debts.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 05, 2024, 11:26:45 AM
The game was intense but it's already one-sided from the very beginning. The lead was just too much and it's going to be seen if this is really a scripted league as what people say. I want it to see that SMB will win game three because many are anticipating that it should be Magnolia to win the game 3 as they've said that this is what happens comes next when all of these grand finals come. It's a sister company as we all know but I think that it's not scripted. I just want to see prolonged matches because of the drama that has happened on this particular game.  Grin

We've seen some outside the court actions, as Abueva seems to have issue with Tau's wife I hope Calvin will control his emotions to avoid any issue again, it's a sistem company but the way they are playing both are hunger to win the finals and take that trophy,  but only one will take it and with how we are seeing the series its more likely that SMB extend their edge after winning game 2, though we can't remove that where bettors may think that there might be a manipulation that may happen to make sure that it won't be a complete swept for the Beermen.
Yeah, actually the win was less noisier than this drama and issue that Abueva has been taken against with Mo's wife. I don't know who to believe but as the game has been in action, Abueva has been hot and when the game's done, here we go with the next action and drama. I guess it is really what these finals become interesting. If it's not with Abueva, we don't hear any noise of the finals but thanks to him as for sure many fans are going to wait for the game 3.

128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pay off DEBT by do Gambling? think again before you loss more on: February 04, 2024, 09:44:37 PM
Before, I don't understand why people think that paying their debts through gambling is a choice. But now, I do understand that this is the reality of life that there are people that will always think of the odd idea on how make themselves debt free but instead, they're adding more pressure to themselves and will result to having more troubles to themselves. When you want to get out of debt, do it the traditional way by working and earning and paying it with your money.

In my opinion, there are people who think they can pay off their debts by relying on gambling, because there are reports that gambling can give them profitable wins and can also double their money, so this might cross their minds, so if they have a debt of $500 but that person has money. of $250 then he will use that $50 to gamble in the hope of getting a profitable win that will be enough for them to pay off the debt they have.

It's true what you said maybe this is a strange idea, because gambling doesn't guarantee that it will give them a win that can help them to pay off their debts, and with actions like this perhaps more clearly they will only have more pressure from their debts where the money is used for paying off the debt is instead used to gamble with the excuse of doubling up and as you said this will only add to the bigger problems they will get. I agree with you,  if you really want to pay off debt you should do a job that makes money and with a mind that doesn't think about gambling you can double your money quickly.
It doesn't guarantee gain but the chance is there, so as for the other gamblers that think of it. It means that there's a chance for them to become profitable and with that, that's the reason they are leaning on for them to be able to pay their debts off. But the results as we know, it's going to be on and off but at most times, it will be off and disappointing results.

That's because they see that borrowing money can be used to gamble and they also see that with the borrowed money, they can have a chance to win even though gambling will not be able to give them the victory they imagine.
It is a bad idea to borrow money to gamble because it can worsen the situation, especially if they lose all their money. They will not be able to pay their debts when someone collects them so they will probably stay away from it.
Yes, they should look for work to earn income. And from that income, you can use a little to gamble. This will help you avoid debt problems.
With that logic and point of view, someone who's seeing it with gambling is likely to get more in debt. That's sad but there's no improvement with that thinking and understanding if they see some resolution through gambling with their situations.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 04, 2024, 05:10:43 PM
I guess that guy found his purpose for sharing his winnings for treating his friends or anyone he likes to treat. As you've said, he's already a pensioner and his children are old as well and probably they're all professionals and that's why he has just found that purpose and that's nice to see he's not selfish and sharing the winnings he get.
I think about it too for an old (assuming because he is a pensioner already) and a person that has nothing to worry about financially related is quite generous not all but there are some when it comes to sharing what they had. While on the other hand, giving should not be always, people are greedy and prone to abuse,
Well, that's his money and if he feels like to give everyday then we can stop him as it's his money and his old, a pensioner and nothing to ask for with his life. I think personally, I've met this type of person but I don't know if they're the same as this old guy who's a giver. When we're old and have nothing to worry about, we'd mostly do whatever we want to do and spend our money for everything that we want to enjoy.

i hope the guy won't tolerate people if someone wants to abuse his generosity.
I agree, many are abusing people's kindness so I hope that he'd notice that.

How about you? Are you generous and if so, why are you generous?

In my case, I am a little generous because winning is a blessing that should be shared. However, I will not make people feel guilty when I give an amount from my blessing.
As long as I have something to share and spare, I'll not think about it but will do. But when the times of need to tighten my pocket and belt then it's understandable that I won't do so. It depends on our status and as well as our moods.

133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe visiting a seer or spiritual house could make you win a game? on: February 03, 2024, 06:52:17 AM
There are many people like that in my country that in terms of luck and money, they're trying to contact spirits as if they're truly going to get some help from them. I don't buy it and I don't believe it but somehow, I believe that there are lying and wild spirits everywhere. So, it's like a superstitious belief where you'll follow what's been told to you and you'd definitely going to be lucky with that game. I think it interconnects but never it had happened to me when I tried it before long time ago and that's why I don't buy it anymore.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: February 02, 2024, 11:02:29 PM
Everyone here is for sure can avail to take risk while there are people that can't do that much with it and just choose to save for their own future. But little did they know that buying a property and fully paying it is already an investment. Why? That's because it is appreciating while those that have been mortgaging it for how many years are still considered it as a liability until it's fully paid. But what's good with it is that they can rent it out if it's allowed to do so. So, with those savers that didn't know what to do with their money is just to go and buy those traditional assets for their safety if they can't take that much risk.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 02, 2024, 07:12:10 PM
Bitcoin itself is safe so as its network. What's not safe is the way you use your devices when you're connected to the internet. If you're reckless and you're like the other people that don't give importance to your browsing activities then you're prone of getting targeted by these hackers and there's a tendency that your wallet might not be safe as well and so as your private keys. As in being reckless even with how you keep your private keys, you don't mind storing it on a safer storage.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 02, 2024, 05:35:23 PM
Mate, that's always the case with these sister teams facing the grand finals. That issue can't be gone with us, fans, talking about it having the script and prolonging the series up to game 7. Like give and take to each other and all of them are winners including the venue and the PBA management per se.
What's important is that this kind of speculation will not destroy the entertainment of this series. Because if we believe the reason why one team losses because they have to follow the script, then we can always make our own judgement and sometimes excuses that we don't accept if what we are backing with losses.
Yeah, it is within our judgement to check whether these games have been scripted or not. When it is obvious, that just gives us disappointment and then we still watch eventually. And as for the first game, SMB takes the first blood for winning game 1.

I've checked bets.io and yes, as you've said it's also a per game basis.
And as AFAIR, the max point spread that the line has move was -4.5, but it came back to -3.5 for SMB.
Not worth it if someone bet within that line. Let's see the next game on Sunday.

B League, Seriously? at his age? I think that rumors has no basis.
It is a rumor so whether it has a basis or none, I think that it's still worth his shot. B League is where most of the PBA bound players are going because of a higher salary and better treatment. But then, he's a public servant and just can't leave the country for that.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silly and scary questions, and what would you do if that were you. on: February 02, 2024, 11:09:53 AM
The $5 wrench attack is the worry when you allow someone to know that you're into Bitcoin. And as for the given situation, I wouldn't give any concrete answer because you can't tell what might happen and what you might do when you're there. But these situations are there to give us the warning and reminder that we should not be too vocal even with people that we know personally. Your safety is in your hands and poverty and problems of people can make them do the nastiest things that you can ever imagine and with that, will make you think whether you should tell things related to Bitcoin or not on a public forum or whenever you've got gatherings with your friends and relatives.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 02, 2024, 05:31:32 AM
And there's the line movement, it's now -2.5, perhaps will move again to -3.5 as the game is nearing. SMB here are more ready, they are well rested while Magnolia only has a few days rest then they'll face the SMB in game 1. Trap or not, I think these two teams are sister team, they can create a script on their own to make this series interesting, so always go with the underdog but not this early.
Mate, that's always the case with these sister teams facing the grand finals. That issue can't be gone with us, fans, talking about it having the script and prolonging the series up to game 7. Like give and take to each other and all of them are winners including the venue and the PBA management per se.

I hope there's a series betting online. Unfortunately I could not find anything like that on the bookies I'm using, they are more on per game better but with good markets.
I've checked bets.io and yes, as you've said it's also a per game basis.

No news yet and, based on those social media posts, Bossing is also interested in signing him up with a very juicy offer, maybe for branding advertisement, knowing how big James name in this industry, but skills wise aside from his shooting capabilities, his condition is no longer the same since he left Magnolia., I personally think that he's just aiming for one more game as Magnolia rumors again rise regard to the influence of his former wife.

But hopefully, there's consideration that will be given even if it's only for formality. Just give him that blessing to retire his jersey as one of those top elite players who played for the franchise. I guess after "The Captain" James deserves the next spot.
I just realized that he's a councilor or public servant in San Juan and that's why it is not possible for him to get signed in B League because it's overseas and might disqualify him for his public post. I think that by next week or two, we'll see some news about him signing up.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 01, 2024, 11:33:49 PM
And the Finals is now set.  Magnolia didn't give Phoenix another chance as they finish the series in 4.

As per schedule, the first game will be tomorrow at 6:15 pm, this is quite early for a finals, so let's arrive home early to be able to watch this.
Betting lines are as follows;

SMB -1.5
Magnolia +1.5

over/under (no line yet).
Yeah, I thought that it will start on Sunday but that's starting on this Friday. Actually, it's already Friday on our time and it's on the Mall of Asia arena.

This looks like a trap. I will not take it right away, if the line will move in favor of SMB like going to -3.5, then that would mean people are betting on SMB while will make Magnolia more attractive for the smart money. If the line turns out to be line that, I might take the moneyline for Magnolia, this is an early game, it will not favor the popular team. Just my thoughts though.  Smiley
Wait for another game or three and then we'll probably see that the odds are going to change. Right now, it's like a real gamble for those who wants to bet with Magnolia. So, this is gonna be a fan betting for his favorite team to show support. But if you don't want to bet as you think that it is a trap, that's okay.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for acquiring bitcoins. on: February 01, 2024, 04:08:52 PM
What is the essence of buying and hodling Bitcoin like is it to accumulate it till it attains ATH then we sell it off and wait for a dip and start buying and holdling again or just accumulate it and start using it as a digital means of exchange or are we going to continue till the 21 million Bitcoins have be mined, already 19 millions have been mined remaining 2 million because overtime, i have come across several topics about buy and hodl bitcoin so i actually wish to know the sole objective of acquiring bitcoins.
The main reason depends on you. Just as you've said, it's for every possible reason that you've mentioned. You can have it as an investment or asset and sell it during the ATHs or whenever you feel that you want to and you're in profit. That's all that matters for someone who's acquiring Bitcoins. But the majority of us are accumulating because of the hopes that we'll sell in profit and that's going to help us do the things we're planning ever since we've invested on it. No one will stop you if your reason is for profit or if you're going to use it for exchanging and buying things online and using it as a payment method or currency.

Betting broker is illegal in the first place, if you win, there's no guarantee you will get your rewards. But if you get scammed, you make a complaint and you even report the broker to the police or third party, then you're definitely stupid.

Never use betting broker or tipster, you will fight with an unnecessary problems that could happen in the future.
I guess you replied to the wrong thread mate.
