962  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Dapat Iwasan At Tandaan Kung Sasali Sa Mga Airdrop on: August 19, 2023, 12:13:49 AM
963  Economy / Economics / Re: Running faucet business in 2023 still possible? on: August 18, 2023, 11:38:31 PM
Not anymore but if you wanna do it for fun, and you have the idea that you can still get banner ads and advertisers then that's what it means to be profitable.

no they are not. though there are still some people who are wasting their time on this, very few can survive. maybe hard to find ad companies which will advertise on your site. unless, you have other services other than faucets. because right now, you need to be innovative to survive.
Those that still remember the time how they started probably made their own faucets so that they can pass onto the other people on how they've known Bitcoin.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How Could NFTs and AR Transform Virtual Events? on: August 18, 2023, 07:59:02 PM
I do see your enthusiasm for what NFTs and AR can do for a business or event. But they've been there once in a while and I think that their era is about to get done. IIRC, AR projects have been there from 2016-2107 but then didn't flourish and didn't become popular due to the market's bias trend during that time. But who knows if by the next trend of the market that shall be on the bull run if AR will be once popular again. Because it doesn't look good if these developers are going to integrate it with crypto. They're much better if they remain AR without any integration of crypto yet the blockchain technology is still there being applied for its own purpose. It becomes and looks like a joke project if there's a token of their own being made.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: August 18, 2023, 07:41:10 PM
That's the truth that we'll just check it if a problem through the process has been encountered.

It sounds bad but it is undeniable fact, this is what happened in most cases.
Only few gamblers who read some parts of the terms and conditions, but I believe there is no one who is willing to read the whole wall of text in the terms and conditions page.
I myself have to admit that I do not read the whole T&C but I do try to search the things that I think is the most important thing for me.
Yeah, with those lot of texts, some might just choose what they want to read. We go ahead to the ones that we want to read if it's about the rules and terms of service. That makes the work easier even if you ignore most of what's written on those agreement contracts and terms of service.

Wagering requirement for deposit is one of the things that I usually try to find first beside the other important things such as country restriction, minimum deposit/withdrawal, and kyc policy.
These are the basics that I think majority are also going ahead when they read the TOS.
966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Dive to 2-Month Low Triggers $1B Liquidation Amidst Market Challenges on: August 18, 2023, 05:22:56 PM
The decline in the pole and flag pattern led to substantial BTCitcoin sell-off, compounded by market factors, coinciding with a $1.05T crypto market cap. BTCitcoin's downfall resulted in $1B liquidation in 24 hours, with BTC accounting for $500M.
That's a lot of folks that have been liquidated and this incident isn't new, Bitcoin has always been volatile and that's why when you're setting a position you have to put a stop loss.

BTC's market cap dropped over 7.5% to $505B overnight, as price hovered near $26K. Recent sell-off liquidated $380M in long positions. The pattern disruption plunged BTC below $26K, highlighting $25K as a crucial recovery zone.

despite today's slightly recovery, market sentiments again turned unfavourable, but bulls still have the chance to defend them selves at $25,000 key support zone.
The chance is always there, while Bitcoin has been stagnant for the past months sitting on $29k-$30k~ for quite a while. The chance of it going down have been there and that's what the analyses that I have seen were saying and it actually did now.
967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: August 18, 2023, 04:41:47 PM
1. Bitcoin can already be traded on exchange and Pi has not
2. Bitcoin does not require KYC and Pi must do KYC
3. Bitcoin already has a price and Pi does not yet have a price
4. Bitcoin is very popular and recognized as the king of cryptocurrency and Pi is only a part of cryptocurrency
5. Bitcoin is the main pioneer and Pi is just an imitator
While I do agree that most of what you've said is true, PI isn't really a cryptocurrency based on what it is showing right now. They keep hiding in the shadows and telling people that it's a crypto but in reality, they're there to collect people's data. A lot of people have been fooled by this project and keeps on waiting for the right time for them to sell it on exchanges. But once the reality knocks them out, they will realize that there's no reality for this project and it won't get into exchanges.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Peer pressure as a substantial gambling catalyst. on: August 18, 2023, 03:28:59 PM
I agree with taking a short break from gambling because it is proven to give peace and not think about gambling continuously.
When you've got enough and you can't take it anymore, it's best to take a short break and even if it takes to be a longer one that's fine. As long as you get the essence of taking a break and your purpose from doing it is to be away for the moment and think of the things that you have to.

Maybe it's still difficult to stop completely, so it's better to rest for a few days is highly recommended. So after taking a break from everything, including gambling, can provide peace for us so that if we return to gambling with friends, we won't feel pressure from them and can respond relaxedly.
The time will have to come that you'll be forced to stop completely and not just because you've realized that it's not doing good for you and it you did too much. But also because that the pressure from your friends is no longer doing you good.
969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some smart guy converted $1000 to 1 million in one day with $BALD coin on: August 18, 2023, 02:28:01 PM
That's good for him if he made that much with $1k and as ryza said, that guy probably have the advantage of knowing the firsthand of its listing.
For someone who doesn't have that much, actually $1k is already a lot. But if you're sure of what's going to happen, you're going to invest on that without any hesitation because you know that you'll be making that much afterwards. Maybe this guy is also one of the devs, who knows? Because it's common to see such people making that much in the firsthand knowing that they're part of the team.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 18, 2023, 12:54:20 PM
The question now is, can Kai Sotto defend Karl Anthony Towns? Personally, I don't think he can, and none of the Gilas Center could stop Towns, if Gilas should make sure that their outside shooting is consistent so they can make this an interesting game to watch.
I don't think so, KAT is on a different level and with his experience, he's far from being compared to Kai. As much as I want to cheer and believe on Kai, but if we look at the reality, Kai can't be compared to him and inside the court he can't do that much in defense IMO.
That's why they can focus with outside shooting and as well as offensive where they can go with the points play and that's how they're going to cope up with the Dominican Republic. But let's just let them play and this is also going to depend on how coach Chot will choose the players that he believes to take that win against them.
971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest Low Cap altcoins for next bull run on: August 18, 2023, 11:48:28 AM
Next bull run is getting so close and so it won't be bad if buy some low cap altcoins for it. I know that is risky step but what to do? Btc ether already pump a lot and my budget is low. I manage extra budget for buy those altcoins.so can you suggest some low cap altcoins name?

Quote
Please don't throw btc, Ether, bnb, doge, xrp names blindly (some people always suggest btc eth bnb xrp everywhere)
If you don't want those typical cryptos that are always being suggested, no matter if you don't want to hear them then you'll just keep on hearing them being suggested by everybody. And that is because they've been the best-performing cryptos in the market. If the choice you want to have are those low cap altcoins, look at those recently added on the list of coinmarketcap, usually they're the new coins that have been added that has a very low market cap.

973  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 18, 2023, 01:14:03 AM

974  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: August 17, 2023, 04:46:28 PM
Bitcoin is a really promising investment, I will also add it to my retirement assets and I agree with you guys, we need to diversify, not just focus on bitcoin, that's too risky.
Most investors that have been saving for their retirement have a lot of diversified assets. It's a wise move that you don't only have Bitcoin as your retirement fund but also it's going to come from various sources. While young, don't take it for granted that you're earning very well and that's why save for the rainy days. You don't know when it will come but just think of it as it's like every day. When you've got that mindset, you'll be forced to save for your retirement and it shouldn't just be savings but it should come from an asset that will generate you the money as you grow old. Passive income as they say and then from there, you'll have to allocate your money to something better. Like now, we're having Bitcoin and soon, we will allocate the profit we get there to another one or direct to your retirement fund.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 17, 2023, 03:28:47 PM
What is your opinion on the Dominican Republic's chances? I'm considering placing a bet on this team.
They're strong, some may underestimate them but they've got a chance to win with those line ups that they've got for their schedules. If you want to put a bet on them, you should and it's up to you which team you'll want to bet. This isn't just all about the support but of course money's on the line so choose what you think have the chance of winning consider also the odds.

According to the OP, the odds for the Dominican Republic to win was x81. However, this was before the announcement of KAT. Probably the odds has already been reduced now, but I still think it's a very attractive odds.

Before the news about Murray being ruled out, the odds were 4.75, so it's likely that those odds will increase now that the bad news has been released. There are lots of opportunities, as some teams probably have not announced their final 12 yet. Additionally, the issue of injuries cannot be neglected, as it could happen before the actual competition. Therefore, following the news would provide us with early insights that could impact our betting decisions.
Yeah, there have been too many changes and for sure the odds will change eventually as the matches are approaching. Just keep on following on the news and who knows that as long as the date for the matches aren't been there, still a lot of things can happen for most of the participating teams that you may be interested to bet with.

Jamal Murray begged off to Canada's national team for the FIBA world cup.

This would affect Canada's chances of winning. For a moment, I considered Canada to be the closest rival to the USA. However, the absence of Jamal Murray, an NBA champion, is a significant setback for the team. Now, I am no longer interested in following this team. I have a feeling that unless their odds increase significantly, they are overvalued.

Regarding the power rankings from 5 days ago, the Dominican Republic was ranked number 10, and with the mentioned odds, this is quite enticing.

https://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2023/news/fiba-basketball-world-cup-2023-power-rankings-volume-ii

Sure they're one of the favorites because of how recent Murray's Nuggets took the championship for the last season in the NBA. That changes the perspective on how people expected him to play but with such surprise announcement, it dropped to the pit for the expectation of many fans.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 17, 2023, 01:31:03 PM
We were discussing how Canada had a good chance of winning due to Murray. However, now that he has been declared out, this will boost the chance of the USA to win the tournament. It's not good news for Canada, to be honest. Despite this, I still wouldn't bet on the USA. Instead, I would consider other teams that might have a chance to pull off an upset.
He's totally a big caliber for the team but it seems that he needs to take a rest and he surely need that for the upcoming NBA season.

What is your opinion on the Dominican Republic's chances? I'm considering placing a bet on this team.

977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in DogeCoin or Bakac Coin for the Uptrend season? on: August 17, 2023, 10:59:10 AM
Doesn't sound like a good coin. But if someone's going to compare Dogecoin with any other altcoins/meme coins, I'd get to choose Dogecoin, there's no doubt.

There is an airdrop, do you guys do the airdrop
I don't but there's still plenty of airdroppers that have been looking into from project to project. I saw successful people that have made a lot of money from those airdrops. But just as the usual ones, it's unknown for this one and you'll not know if it's a good one or bad one until it becomes.

I'm not from there but I'm starting to watch videos from people there. I haven't seen one that told about internet censorship.
But with what I've watched for the other videos. It's mostly rant about the government on how they're having huge rents in the capital and as well as those complaints on how they're not keeping up with the economy. The typical issues that I've seen that's being said by a citizen for which they're not the only one that's telling this. I saw this article and it's from last year.

980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: August 17, 2023, 08:01:14 AM
Indeed required with wagering or not we need read all term of service some gambling platform before sign up account, many gambler forget and skip for reading all term of service and complaint later when their withdrawing problem due need wagering. Its consequence with some gambling platform have been adopt with minimum wagering time for withdrawing fund and we need real carefully what rule of some gambling platform actually with withdrawing fund procedure.
We have to admit that most gamblers don't read the TOS that are written upon signing up. Who the heck is reading that anyway with the first tries of gambling? People will just going to read it when something wrong happens and they need to check out if it's on the TOS. That's the truth that we'll just check it if a problem through the process has been encountered. Otherwise, we'll keep going.

Not only about wagering but also read all term service about KYC required or not and all rule with gambling platform, don't be disappointed later when our fund not available for withdrawing without completed with task required.
Expect that most of the casinos these days are asking for KYC, so whether you read it or not. When you've won huge amounts, there's the expectation that you need to comply on it because you've win big money.
