Thank you for the feedback.

I do have a two more free sites to add, but I do need your username and your url both..

I am kind of stuck at a crossroads here.. On one hand the better the quality and the more requirements I put in the system, the less likely people will review for the .0001 BTC they get for their review.
If I set the minimum Cost Per Review to a higher number, then the advertisers won't purchase.

It is a hard line to walk, and I will take your suggestions to heart and see what changes I can make to keep everyone happy.

As for Authority, it refers to a websites credibility and knowledge on a specific subject. Would you consider this site and authority on the subject.

If you do review some websites as a member I do spell these topics out in more detail. I will need to add more information on the advertiser side.

Thanks again!
-Bitvisit

Alright, here's an idea... and really the only way I can see this working.

Allow tiered pricing. Ex. the higher pay that's offered up, the more strict quality requirements there are. More or less creating the distinction between quality based on the price (which makes sense when you consider it).

I am really not sure how to handle that though... just figured I would toss out the idea and maybe some brainstorming could go into it or something like it.

What do you think about minimum reviews. Pay the lowest amount - expect poor quality 25 character views. Pay a bit more get 100 Characters etc

I also think being able to dispute reviews is important, bland traffic is one thing but poorly constructed reviews just to get a bit of money is different.

One last thing, is it possible to view old campaigns?

It says they last 7 days (not long enough IMO) I think it should be 3 months minimum for each old campaign so the webmaster has time to react to the changes. My campaign has already been deleted

Will add an info doc on mystery box and leveling over the next few days

I also want to make a custom graphic for CDKey Hut Credits so I might be looking for someone to help me out - if not I'll see what I can come up with
246  Economy / Services / Re: BitVisit Needs A Few Testers -- FREE TRAFFIC & REVIEWS on: July 06, 2013, 11:15:42 AM
Have to agree with ranlo

I had better luck with my reviewers and out of a total of 23 I had 4/5 that I would consider acceptable and the rest were clearly people doing it solely for the money. Leaving reviews like;

'Keep up the good work!'
'looks good'
'WORST EVER' - despite leaving high reviews

I think a min character rule needs to be enforced to at least 20/25 characters. Perhaps a new feature could be the choice of the minimum characters to be written can be chosen by the webmasters. They can chose min 20 char for BTCxxx a review, min 100 char for BTCxxxx and 250 for min BTCxxxxx

That way at least people have a choice on how well their sites are reviewed.

My other idea is to dispute a review, if you pay for someone to write a 100 or 250 character review and they come back with some repeated characters x 100 or they just write complete bullshit, you should be allowed to put their payment on hold until they have written a proper review.

The rating idea is a good one and it is important to know how users view your site. But knowing that I score from 3 - 10 in errors really doesnt help me bug test. And knowing that my contact form is from 1 - 10 is useless information. I think also adding a comment form with at least 10 characters per rating will help to justify the given scores.

Remember that you are charging for each review, currently I wouldn't pay to use this site based on the poor quality of reviews I received. I have absolutely no problem with people slandering my site if fact I would encourage it, if people could justify why.

My review for BitVisit

First Impression - 5/10 - slider is not needed and adds nothing to site content - if anything it confuses what the site is about. I found it quite difficult to sign up a top menu/sidebar menu would be a good idea. That being said the member's portal is nice and easy to navigate. Site functions well as expected started to receive traffic almost straight after campaign was set.

Navigation - 3/10 Homepage | 7/10 - Member (as above)

Content - 6/10 - Hard one to judge but there are a lot of good features that could be improved over time. Reviews are a good idea and pay per view is nice for traffic storms

Contact - 5/10 - Contact form on homepage only place I found it. Maybe would be nice on Members portal in case of any queries

Errors - 3/10 - Members portal, under review section hyperlinked table titles - would be better to add a title='title' tag so that titles are easier to understand - or just remove <a> tags completely. My point is I don't understand what authority means in this sense.

Authority - 0/10 - As above I don't understand what it means, domain authority has nothing to do with reviewing a site, perhaps it means how much you trust the site?

Layout - 5/10 - Clear and easy to navigate Member portal - Points lost for index page

Visit Again - 6/10 - Perhaps should be boolean yes/no rather than a rating, you'll either visit a site again or you won't. But it is a nice site and with some improvements could be really good for cheap reviews and traffic

Overall Score - 5/10 - Review quality really let the site down, with some work and some restrictions on what members can get away with, the site could be much better. Remember that you are asking people to part with their hard earned money to use your site for the services you offer, reviews and traffic. If your member's reviews are not up to par, no one will use it

Hope this helps

Luke

*Thank you to anyone who took the time to properly review my site - I will be going through and trying to improve the flaws that were highlighted

248  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are gambling games with BTC legal? on: July 03, 2013, 06:21:03 PM
Hi Guys

Yesterday i was talking with a friend of mine about opening a casino online with BTC,I really like the idea but my friend (the developer) said that is risky because whatever is gambling is not legal,is this true?

So how all the gambling websites here deal with it?

Please let me know I don't really know much about gambling and how it works

Thanks

quick answer if in US - NO - therefore move it offshore

So you're saying that is I host the website, let's say in Russia there is nothing non legal about it?even if it's a gambling game?

It depends a lot on how the country views the currency. Technically as nothing has been said either way specifically about Bitcoin gambling by governments we can assume that we are allowed to do it, even though the wiser option would be not to do it until given the green light

Britain once called Bitcoin tokens rather than currency, there is nothing illegal with gambling tokens, as far as I am aware, as they have no monetary value and can only be exchanged for goods and services, rather than buying goods and services.

Of cause that justification is completely false, the entire idea of Bitcoin is not known to be legal or illegal, in any country. The fact that anyone at all is trading them is a huge risk, it takes just one person to outlaw it and the entire system could potentially die.

With that being said I think it's a wise idea to try and make a mark before Bitcoin takes off.

I would say go for it if you have the time and money and a unique idea, Bitcoin has literally no limitations so express your creativity and come up with something great

I would suggest trying to get hosting outside the US though, we all know what they're like with the internet..

251  Economy / Gambling / Re: CDKey Hut Casino - Win Xbox Live/Steam/Origin codes and more! on: July 02, 2013, 09:06:13 PM
Been working on a leveling system for the casino today

The idea being you get exp when you win a prize. The exp is equal to the chance you had to win the code, the higher the chance the less likely you are to win the prize.

Each level will bring a boost of an extra 5% chance to win each prize. Think a code with 20% chance to win you'll get a 25% chance to win.

I will also be extending the prizes on display to include exp as a random prize each time you don't win. The extra prizes will also include extra spins and hopefully in the future Bitcoin.

I think this would be quite a nice addition to the casino and hopefully add a gaming experience to the casino

One final idea for the future is a grid reference game where you are situated in a map and explore to find prizes

NW N   NE
W O E
SW S SE

*O means search for codes

Each move you make will cost 1-2 credits and you have a chance to win a code each step, searching will also cost 1-2.

Random text will be displayed each time you don't win - I'll try and come up with some funny stuff but I might look to hire someone to help me out if I get round to making this game

Bought BTC0.5 last night, instant delivery - took maybe 10 seconds to verify?

This is exactly what has been needed in the UK for far too long, highly recommended !

which will receive a total of 100% of the company's virtual-currency profits after all expenses until the total dividends paid is equal to the offering price of .0005

Does it mean that once we get 0.0005 in dividends, the company can just stop paying dividends at all? Does not make sense if you buy at 0.0025.

+1

This.

Then AMC can start capitalizing on the shares at the moment share holders get 100% and AMC is funded via purchasing shares

When the initial 0.0005 has been paid then AMC will start to receive dividends too

But what does it mean for shareholders? After the threshold of 0.0005 of dividends, the company is not obliged by contract to pay anything right? The guy couldn't just decide to pay himself most of the benefices then?

I have also wondered about this.

"1 share of AMC on BitFunder represents 1/100,000,000th of 100% of the monthly profits after all expenses."

"AMC may issue up to 20,000,000 "Early-Adopters" shares which may be posted for no less than 0.0005 BTC each and will also issue 20,000,000 growth and expansion fund shares to AMC. The "Early-Adopter" shares may be posted in batches with the first batch being 5,000,000 shares. Only the first 40,000,000 issued shares will receive 100% of the monthly profits after all expenses until the total dividends paid is equal to .0005 BTC per share"

I dont think Ken is in it to rip anyone off, I'm sure he understands from the great community response he's had in terms of support and funding, that he can make a lot of money from this venture. It's certainly not in his best interest to take the money and run..

But what do I know, hopefully someone with better insight will be able to help me out

VMC and AMC will be making a joint announcement this coming Thursday about
their Research And Development.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-06-27+18:00:00

Silly question maybe: Where will this announcement get published?

In this thread or at VMCs website?

Most likely on VMCs site, Bitfunder, here and btct.co

There might be an issue /w credits - you might have to logout and back in for them to register

I have moved the credits from the sidebar to the bottom of the page + below each paid game (issue with credits not updating been fixed)

259  Economy / Gambling / Re: CDKey Hut Casino - Win Xbox Live/Steam/Origin codes and more! on: June 25, 2013, 05:36:35 PM

Awesome! I really hope you get more attention from these games, the site is really nice, and it's an original idea, but it really isn't getting as much attention as it deserves, then some other guy launches just another dice site and gets 10 pages in no time, it's just so unfair. Have you tried advertising?

Thanks for the support Smiley I'll try and get it ready by tonight but most likely it'll be ready tomorrow

I think at the moment with the Bitcoin community people are more interested in hoarding BTC and perhaps are also interested in gambling them in the hope to get more, rather than cashing out buy spending them or perhaps by playing my games. I think when Bitcoin starts to take off I will have more interest

I also think the lack of prizes effects how many people play, I don't have a lot of funding at the moment but hopefully I will be able to buy some new codes soon.

I have a inexpensive advert setup with coinurl which drives a bit of traffic but again as I dont have a lot of funding it's hard, I do SEO on my site so it's rather well optimized. It's also a great portfolio piece for me Smiley

Mystery Box now live
260  Economy / Gambling / Re: CDKey Hut Casino - Win Xbox Live/Steam/Origin codes and more! on: June 25, 2013, 04:50:35 PM

That seems fun! I'll definately play this a bit, is there a way to play this paid? Also, is it bugged by any chance? I've tried ~20 times and Box 1 NEVER has a prize.

It's not bugged no, completely random. It works the same way as the slots, randomly picks a code and queries the chance to win with 2 numbers, if they match then you win, if not then you don't.  I suppose box 1 was just unlucky

It will cost twice what the slots and poke the code cost ($1 - 4 credits) but also has twice the odds

I'll work on the paid version either tonight or tomorrow, I'll let you know when it's ready Smiley

By the way my next idea for the casino is leveling/tiers so the more you play the higher your chance of winning.

It'll work like if you win a code you get exp equal to the chance of winning the code, each tier will require a certain amount exp to advance and when you hit each tier you have a slightly higher chance of winning. It won't be overly high but I think it would be a nice incentive to play and perhaps make the games more engaging
