141  Economy / Securities / Things looking bright for crowd funding sites? on: October 23, 2013, 08:25:11 PM
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/u-sec-release-long-awaited-105956761.html

So it might not be definitive but surely is a bright light at the end of the tunnel and makes BitFunder and BTC-TC look very bad for all the FUD they caused, not to mention the money they've lost many individuals

*Of cause this doesn't mean that the problems with crypto crowd funding sites is over but I do think they massively over reacted

Very very tempting, I get paid tomorrow so I might have to go in for 1 Smiley

They go for just under BTC1.65 damn they're pricey
145  Economy / Goods / Re: (UK GROUP BUY 11/20) 0.1BTC Casascius Silver Coin on: October 21, 2013, 12:34:13 PM
One other thing i have thought have however, I am sure there will be a customs charge of some amount. There was one when i ordered from Casascius in the past.

Can everyone confirm that they are ok to cover this between users too, again it will be on a unique users basis and also not for profit

No problem
146  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: October 16, 2013, 08:39:33 PM
first off - dividend is not late, It is always posted the day after the 15th.

We will have more in stock tomorrow morning. Our transfer did not go through this morning as we expected.

We are still working on the bitfunder issue but this is a process that takes time and we have our lawyer working on the issue.

It might be worth having a chat with Ken Slaugher of Active Miner

yeah but where is ol Kenneth? not a peep for a few days now...

Working on our Colored Coins Program.

149  Economy / Goods / Re: 0.1 Casascius Silver Group Buy UK & EU on: October 12, 2013, 02:54:20 PM
Ill think about it. Im a semi-colector, but also investor...
They are very expensive. Im still hoping the price will drop. For 0.25-0.30 BTC I would probably buy some...

I don't see the price dropping any time soon

I'm interested in probably 2 if possible, when do you plan on dropping the order?

* For £40 each it's a much better price than if you bought from a reseller

152  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] WTF! BitFunder Restrictions to US Citizens on: October 09, 2013, 09:33:15 PM
...
* Is it a law or what, why are US citizens not allowed to hold BTC stocks any more?

Nothing to do with BTC, everything to do with unregistered securities.
And you can buy & hold them as much as you like, it's the selling side that's a big no-no  Sad

I see, you have to register to sell the shares..

By the looks of things, shares are now going underground, I noticed Additcion mining are allowing you to convert your BF shares to direct shares..

I really hope this doesn't mean the end of crowd funding sites, I guess we just have to sit back and let the US have their rampage and try to pick up the pieces the best we can
153  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] WTF! BitFunder Restrictions to US Citizens on: October 09, 2013, 07:06:30 PM
I've already lost BTC2, not that much compared to some I'm sure, but about BTC2 more than I wanted to lose today..

Is it time to cut the losses and bail, or stick with it. I understand a lot of the market for the stocks was US but seeing as I'm a UK citizen should I follow the trend and get out while I can, or stick with it. The shares obviously still have value, the companies still exist but perhaps the market has just be cut right down..

What are other free citizens doing in this time of need?

IMHO it's the perfect time to get cheap stocks, hopefully we'll see a surge in a few weeks, I don't think the UK will be imposing the same (law)? any time soon

how much discount does your steam code supplier grant you, if you don't mind telling me Cheesy PM/Message me if you want!

That would depend on which product you're talking about.. I pay wholesale prices and base my prices on how much I pay and what other retailers are charging

So there is no set discount, similar to there is not set price, I charge what I think is fair, they charge what they think is fair and profitable
156  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Free Bitcoin directory script on: September 19, 2013, 07:42:05 PM
any news on this ?

Yes it's very close Smiley

I have payments almost setup, I had someone help me out, I havent managed to have a successful test but I will have a proper go at setting it up this weekend

I really hope I can get this released soon as I'm sure you do too Smiley

I'm not sure it's worth changing my current system to accept all the alt currencies, I think litecoin is the only one i would genuinely consider

It's true that Alt-Coins could mean more income as a lot of competitors are offering this. But, I agree that Litecoin is the best one to use alongside Bitcoin. Otherwise many people get confused about the payment methods with a lot of alt-coins implemented.

I will look into other coins at some point, but I dont feel any sense of urgency to do so at this point in time, Bitcoin is still going rather strong but I still remain skeptical about the others

159  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Unique Bitcoin Casino script - 1 COPY LEFT!!! on: September 17, 2013, 09:54:51 PM
- How is it unique is 4 copies have been sold Wink

- What is the difference between the now $375 version and the $8 one : http://bitcoindev.net/index.php?page=item&id=17

I like what you have done with BitShop, but it's common sense, anyone who is going to spend $370, or any money for that matter, on a script, they're going to want to see it first.

You dont even need a domain just put it on a new folder in bitcoindev.net and rather than charging bitcoin just give each new user xxxxxx free credits to play with..
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help to implement Bitcoin payments [0.2 BTC Bounty] on: September 16, 2013, 09:12:20 PM
I can do this but I don't do bounties, they force bad coding and racing which means that people don't test. Also $20 is too cheap. PM me if you want to hire me.

I can do all the testing. All you need to do is setup an IPN which shouldn't be hard. You don't need to make it do anything (I can do that) it just needs to hit the server back when a payment has been made successfully
