1421  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: August 13, 2016, 10:34:57 AM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

That is all our dream to be rich with bitcoin!  If we continue what we are doing right now and save all the hard earned bitcoin, we could earn enough and grow it.  We could invest it as almost everyone are doing or we could trade them.  We could save it and wait for the right time to sell it when we think that the  price is high enough.

After being scammed by investing in ponzi scheme, I still have a dream of earning a decent amount with bitcoin by holding some of it and trading some of it. I believe in a few years, its amount will rise and more people will be entice to have it increasing the demand thereby increasing the price. Patience is the key and we just have to have faith that it will be the future of money and its amount will increase exponentially for the next few years.
1422  Economy / Economics / Re: Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made? on: August 13, 2016, 10:26:35 AM
The worst decision was to invest in gambling and ponzi sites to multiply my coins in quick time, I was newbie at that time and was not aware about the scams happening around.

Honestly, I was interested with bitcoin because I read somewhere that I can earn daily even if I don't have to do anything. So the newbie me, with sparkling eyes thought that I found a gold mine because I will just invest a certain amount and then I will earn a return daily and suppose to be they will pay me "forever". I was entice with it and immediately invested without researching about it first because others said that it was legit and they have evidence that its paying daily. After a few months and get back about half of my money, the site was offline and then poof they were gone.It was then that I realize I was scammed and then that's the time I research about it and found this site. I slowly learned about avoiding those kind of sites because its a ponzi scheme and I learned my lesson never to invest again in those kind of sites. That's my worst decision ever but then thanks also for that experience because I found this site and discover that I can earn bitcoin in many ways. It's not passive but at least I am earning and I am sure that it is not a scam.
1423  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: August 13, 2016, 10:16:24 AM
Bitcoin has power nowadays because it is the father of cryptocurrency. It is the first digital money to be developed and then many got interested into it because it is something new and may be the future of money since almost all the things that we do today can be done online. The government also is not in control with it so people are free to do transactions without restriction because supporting papers are not required to do a certain transaction. There is no age limit also as long as one knows how to use a computer and how bitcoin works then he can do transaction and may be earn from it whereas compared to fiat currency, one can only do such transaction if there are documents to support them and he must be of legal age if he wanted to do a certain transaction especially if its a big amount.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase has partnered with Paypal - Officially! on: August 13, 2016, 09:06:54 AM
Yes i heard news about that both are going with partnership, but paypal is not supporting bitcoins means in the form of selling, but it will take lot time to get gathered with paypal, paypal some times act ridiculous suddenly they will drops partnership because it is not static company at all. But now you can easily convert from coinbase to paypal currency easily. But you need to have both verified account for this transaction.BTC

Nevertheless it's a good move for coinbase to have a partnership with paypal because it could help in the bitcoin growth. Though it would be better if people can buy bitcoin through paypal but still it's good that bitcoiners will have a choice in cashing out through paypal because there are others who use paypal to earn in their other source of income aside from bitcoin and they can just cash it out in their bank account in bulk and with much lesser transaction fee. Maybe time will come when we can buy through paypal but cashing out through out is already a big step. It's just one step at a time.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyrpto vs Fiat on: August 13, 2016, 08:31:11 AM
I don't know if this thread has been created before, but I would like to know your opinion on Cryptocurrency versus Fiat.

If you could tell me why too. What are the benefit of each?  Smiley

In cryptocurrency, you can access it anywhere you go and you can send payment to someone even if it is a large amount and no one will ask for any supporting documents from you to explain why that big amount and for what purpose and the transaction is quite fast like it would take minutes for the amount to be sent while in fiat, when you try to send someone a significant amount you need supporting documents and identification to push through with the transaction and it may take days or weeks just to send the amount.

You can send someone money with a lesser transaction fee compared to using fiat when you have to send it through money exchange which has bigger charges and may take a chunk of the amount you intend to send.

I think the disdvantage of cryptocurrency against fiat is that cryptocurrency cannot be use in buying items like the daily needs in a supermarket or in any other shops that did not adopt cryptocurrency yet as payment option because fiat is still the one widely used by people.
1426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin WiFi T-shirt on: August 13, 2016, 07:57:43 AM
Hey,

I would like to create something within the project Bitcoin and start your startup.
I count on the support of an innovative project for bitcoin wifi

https://bitcoinstarter.com/projects/bitcoin-wifi-t-shirt/

This is a good idea for bitcoin to be known in public. People tend to go where there is wifi so it's a way of introducing bitcoin to the public. I would like to help in the project but I don't have much bitcoin now since I just become interested in it this year so I will just share this idea to others who have known bitcoin and maybe in some way they can help.Good luck with your project! Cheesy
1427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Worldwide! on: August 13, 2016, 06:46:29 AM
I have seen bitcoin becoming more and more popular in my country over time.More exchange rising and more and more users getting to involve in the bitcoin. It is still not accepted offline in my country but in 5 years i think we will see that to in my country.

A problem for a lot of countries. We just have to wait for the big companies adaption and I know it will happen. I might not have the facts but just look at us. Look at steam, look at purse io they are all doing it even with the kmown risk in bitcoin.

Once the big companies adopt bitcoin then others will follow through because if big companies are using them then it means there is a potential and profit in bitcoin so other small companies will follow them and the competitors also of other big companies will also use it because they don't want to be left behind and the fear of missing out. When this happens,it would be the start of bitcoin being popular and known especially to people that are not that techie and they would want to be part of the bitcoin world.
1428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *warning* Two current security issues with mobile devices on: August 12, 2016, 11:34:51 AM
Nowadays, it's been really hard to trust any sites/apps that will hold our bitcoin earnings. It would be better to use those that are trusted, used by most users, reputable, and have positive reviews. Making research first may help. Another thing, I think it's okay to use more than one wallet, so that in case something's happened, you won't lose all your earnings. Just my opinion

As much as possible, we should avoid using wallet that has no reputation and a review of users that it is really a dependable and trusted site. It's convenient to use a mobile wallet but safety should come first. If someone opt to use a mobile wallet then it should only be for small amounts so that when there are problems and someone try to steal it then only a small amount will be lost.
1429  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we figure out the scammers? on: August 10, 2016, 12:12:43 PM
You can figure out if its a potential scammer if:
1.It is offering a high return in a short period of time like the High Yield Investment Programs. Having a return of 10% a day is just too good to be true even 5% or 3% per day.
2.They are not being transparent or don't disclose how they can come up or earn the amount they are paying you or the interest they are paying you each day.
3.They have no physical address or there is a physical address stated but it does not exist.
4.There are already complaints to the person or company you are dealing with before so you should check first if its reputable.
5.If a person wants to get money from you and rushing you then maybe there's a hidden agenda why he's in a rush.
1430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC wallet with interest? on: August 10, 2016, 10:39:47 AM
I don't know any wallet that has an interest in it. Maybe when someone offers it then the owner has a hidden agenda behind it and will just try to accumulate coins then out of the blue the site will be gone along with your precious coins. If you want interest then maybe you can lend it but make sure that the borrower can pay you back and check his reputation first.
1431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First Step of Making Bitcoin on: August 10, 2016, 10:20:28 AM
What should i do for earn BTC.
although im not a rich person, nor of my family.
but i had some interest in BTC.

how can i gain bitcoin without no money.
already collected from faucet, but it seems need target to be payout.

anyone have some advice?
or anyone have some work for me?

can try to do some work and paying with bitcoin.

You want to have money but you have nothing to invest so you need to do some job for someone else to earn like if you have some skills then you can find it in the services section and I'm sure you can find work there that will be suitable for you. You can rank up your account here and join signature campaign but make sure that you have quality post. You can try gambling also if you want to earn it fast but it's risky because you might lose the bitcoin or satoshi you have accumulated or you might be lucky and win that target amount you want in no time. You can also try trading but study and research about it first. There are many ways to earn and its only up to you what you will choose but it needs hard work and patience.
1432  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: August 10, 2016, 09:57:35 AM
It can happen because we can't predict the future. There might be a new cryptocurrency that will be created that can surpass bitcoin and then people will transfer or focus on that cryptocurrency instead of bitcoin. One case also is that once a bitcoin owner dies and he didn't pass his private keys to someone then the bitcoin in it will be unused and the number of bitcoin in circulation will be lesser.
1433  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitfinex owners - stolen funds and ponzi schemes on: August 10, 2016, 08:55:52 AM
Bitfinex did not report anything to the Hong Kong police.    They lied. There is no investigation from any authority yet.

You can call yourself the police from HK and they will confirm you that.

In the mean time, take your time and read a very interesting story : https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitfinexs-ceo-seemingly-tried-start-ponzi-scheme

We cannot directly conclude that its a ponzi scheme because there is no direct evidence that it is one but by the facts given there is really something shady about it.Knowing that the CEO is connected to a scammer before and he defended him makes him not trustworthy and now he is nowhere to be found. If this is true that he really scammed the users then it's really heartbreaking especially for those that have big amount and to add more pain making the users absorb its losses.
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Worldwide! on: August 10, 2016, 07:42:46 AM
Well, my country is a little bit old-fashioned, the government doesn’t give any laws or restrictions on bitcoin but it seems to be that they don’t want us to use bitcoin. I think it’s because they want to fully control us or just simply they don’t pay attention to it.
I hope that someday they will accept bitcoin as an official currency or anything similar to bit-license to legalize bitcoin ecosystem.

Well, in my country i never heard even a thing about bitcoin on a news channel or in any newspaper or anywhere in real world, i think there arent a lot of people aware of bitcoin in my country and if there are some then they are very rare, so simply there is not restriction on it as it is not well-known yet.

Bitcoin is not yet that popular and its something that people will not think of that exist especially those that are not that techie yet. When someone introduce it to them especially a person that is famous like a celebrity, a business owner or a high rank official then maybe they will be aware of it because that is the trend of the people, when someone credible they know is using something and they know that they can earn from it then they will try to copy him/her which in effect a higher demand and a higher price.
1435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Changed my life has it changed yours? on: August 10, 2016, 06:02:39 AM
Bitcoin has changed my life because it was able to open opportunities for me that I never thought I would have before like I would be able to save when I am sending money because it has lesser transaction fee than a normal money exchange. I was able to trade even though I only have a small amount and I earn from it also by conveying my ideas to others through posting in this forum. I am hoping of finding more ways to earn through bitcoin because I believe that its one way of achieving my dreams to financial freedom.
1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work due to gambling or visiting bitcointalk.org? on: August 09, 2016, 01:35:46 PM
When my boss is not present in my work, I sometimes visit the bitcointalk to read and learn and post. I do it during working hours so I lose time from my work but I only do it because I have free time. When I am busy from work then I visit the site when I get home. I do gambling only when I have free time so I did not lose any time because of it.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 09, 2016, 12:55:38 PM
Of course it would be for profit but I would like to have fun also while gambling. I make sure that when I start to gamble, I already set a certain amount that would be my target profit or if its not my lucky day then I also set an amount which I can afford to lose. I do make sure that I should be firm in my decision and follow my target amounts because I've already lose too much before because of greediness. Gambling is fun when you're winning but its no fun at all when you are losing. Grin
1438  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2016, 12:47:14 PM
Halving is good because it controls the flow of bitcoin mined and it has limited supply so it will regulate the flow and being greedy of other miners will be avoided because its controlled. As time goes by, bitcoin mined is lesser and lesser and the effect would be higher demand and lower supply which will make the price go up and an advantage to bitcoiners.
1439  Economy / Speculation / Re: The panic dump is on! on: August 09, 2016, 10:42:35 AM
Seems the price has been stable now and recover into nearly $600. Common scenario in price movement. The dump was normal as there is site has been reportedly hacked again.

The price is almost at $600 now. I hope it will continue to go up and there is no bad news again. I think when it crosses $600 it will be the support and then it will continue to rise until it will reach a new high again. It only cross below $600 before because of the hacking and I think the price will not go down as low as that if nothing happened.
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: August 09, 2016, 10:27:41 AM
http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

Even though this post was made five years ago, I still believe that bitcoin has a future. Its value will go up probably as high as $10,000. I regret when I didn't know about it years ago because I became interested in it this year only but still I believe that I will still be one of the new wealthy elite because bitcoin is still in its childhood stage. Maybe in 5-10 years time from now, the target price of $10,000 will be hit.
