1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: August 09, 2017, 01:23:16 AM
I use a portion of bitcoin as a long term investment, for trading and then if there is an immediate need to convert it to fiat to pay for expenses then I would do it but if there is a way to not convert it like borrowing fiat then its much preferable. As much as possible, I would prefer bitcoin as a long term investment since many are also treating it as a long term investment so I'll just go with the flow.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The current increase in price of bitcoin and it advantage on: August 09, 2017, 01:10:13 AM
With the recent rise in the price of bitcoin to us dollars to as high as $3305 as at yesterday, the best period to trade your bitcoin is now.

Maybe for the short term traders it would be the best time to sell now since there is a possibility it would bounce back to 2,800+ or more. For the long term traders, it is still early to sell now because more people are joining the bandwagon which would mean a higher demand thus a higher price. We will just hodl and wait.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just going to $100,000 now? on: August 08, 2017, 07:38:04 AM
It's not now but maybe years or decades from now. I think in the first year of bitcoin when the price is just a few dollars, they will target an amount of a thousand dollars which seems too good to be true but now in all time high of $3,000+ so we cannot really predict what the future will be. I hope someday it will reach that amount because many are also positive about it.
1204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What people are saying about the surge in bitcoin price on: August 08, 2017, 07:03:29 AM

From CoinTelegraph: Consumers are losing trust in major banks and financial service providers. Many institutional investors, traders and most millennials are moving toward Bitcoin and fintech due to the fraudulent activities and inefficiencies of existing banks.

Since most of the people who are tech savvy are millennials then it's not surprising that they are choosing bitcoin over banks because their eyes are now open to the truth of what is happening when they deposit their money to the bank. Many bank systems are compromise, funds that are suddenly gone, ATM cards copied and unexplained wealth of some people working in the bank. If people has a choice of securing their funds aside from putting it in the bank then bitcoin would be the answer.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good idea to buy altcoins when they crash?? on: August 08, 2017, 02:18:36 AM
It would depend on the reason why the coin's value drop. If it's just because a recent pump has happen and then it was dump but it stop in its previous support then maybe it's a good chance to buy. If it seems that it continues to drop for a long time then maybe it would still continue to go down and if you are looking to buy it in short term then its not advisable. There are many factors to look at when buying altcoins not just because the value of it is down then you should buy it.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: August 08, 2017, 01:47:46 AM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?

I know some people who are in a desperate situation and wanted to pay their debts that's why they are taking their chance to win a big amount to pay it all borrowing money from others to participate in gambling hoping to get lucky. Given that their emotion is already not that stable because they are in that situation, there is a big chance that they would lose which would make their situation worse and the possibility of doing something not right like earning in an illegal way.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the future of bitcoin will look like on: August 08, 2017, 01:19:46 AM
Most people will say : bitcoin has a bright future.
I will support this statement too, because there are many facts about the advantages of bitcoin and how it could develop so far until this point.
Bitcoin is unstoppable, we can consider it as a better monetary system without intervene of central bank.
However, we can predict what will happen in the future for sure and only judge it by assessing the current situation.
Here a good video about it : Bill Gates - Nobody can stop bitcoin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0HmrSfJwhU

The word of the rich people has a very big role in making bitcoin popular since many people look up to them thinking how can they be like him having the financial freedom they always wanted. As we can observe now, bitcoin is in all time high and continues to rise because more people are believing that it is the future of money. It may be hard to shift from fiat to digital but I think it will happen just like what the computer and internet do before where many people don't believe it at first.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: August 07, 2017, 01:15:33 AM
How does one Put down Gambling for good?

You can start by putting your funds to something that you can't easily pull off like the same concept as time deposit or you let someone trustworthy to hold your funds for you so that you will not be tempted to deposit again to gamble. You can go back to your hobby which you stop doing when you started gambling or find another activity which interest you and let you pass time. You can also join some group which are into gambling before and then quit and ask them for advise on how they did it.
1209  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: August 07, 2017, 12:52:38 AM
If I planned on buying some coins today. Which would be the better long term investment, and why?

Bitcoin would be good for long term investment because looking back to the price of bitcoin a few years ago, there is a huge leap of price and some people who were able to buy it in the first five years of its existence have already massive profit and some became a millionaire because of the massive increase in price. We can only make speculation and hope that bitcoin would continue rising since people who are into cryptocurrency has bitcoin and then an altcoin. Besides, some altcoin is use by whales to profit by pump and dump.
1210  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: August 07, 2017, 12:31:25 AM
Personally, if I'm in a coffee shop or any store with some people, I pull out my wallet and subtly show them my Xapo debit card. Then they get curious on what kind of card is that since it doesnt look like the usual Mastercard or creditcard. Then I explain it from there on.

What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? Smiley

Usually when someone will ask me some sideline or if I know something where they can earn money then I would just tell them about bitcoin. It's usually word of mouth and then when someone ask that person who ask me then he would tell him about it. Since social media is one of the fastest way to connect to your friends, relatives and acquaintances then from time to time I share some information about bitcoin.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: August 06, 2017, 11:17:19 AM
Cash is better than bitcoin for NOW in terms of its accessibility to the people. Bitcoin is not that widespread yet since when paying in groceries, restaurants or other establishments, cash or card is still the one used and when you ask some random people about bitcoin, they have no idea what it is. I think this is the disadvantage of bitcoin over cash but bitcoin later on will be used as a payment option and will be in par with cash and as an investment option, bitcoin is way better than cash.
1212  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 06, 2017, 09:29:15 AM
It's possible because all of us has no idea of what the future will be only speculations. Bitcoin's value go down massively a few years ago because of an unforeseen event and people panic so they immediately sold their coins but then it was able to go up and now bitcoin is slowly becoming popular and more people are either investing to or trading it. Though its price is still volatile but it still continues to go up which means a higher demand.
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: Investments outside crypto on: August 06, 2017, 09:13:34 AM
The only investments that i have outside the cryptocurrency world is a real estate investment, i bought a small house here aside from my current house and i open that small house for renting and it gives me $100 per month which is not bad because i can take some of the money from my profit from rental service to pay my bills and other things.

My investment outside crypto is in agriculture. My family is interested in farming so having a farm and let them maintain it is a good way for me to earn passive income. While I am busy earning in crypto world, my family is also busy in having a traditional business and I am planning to invest in real estate for renting also so that I can have diversified investments.
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 06, 2017, 09:03:30 AM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

I think not since stocks and forex is already existing and traders have already experienced with it and a new player just entered the game with the same status. Also, it has piqued the interest of the people because of its volatility and high price in just a short amount of time which can attract traders so a stable price would not make the bitcoin be as popular as it is now.
1215  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: how can i reinvest my bitcoin in HYIP? on: August 06, 2017, 08:33:15 AM
till now i try to withdraw my earning but it is always pending!!  Cry

You have already answered your question in the title of your thread. A HYIP only runs for a few days up to a maximum of a few weeks with very few exceptions happening when certain HYIP-s run more than this time. I am afraid you will see your status pending for a long time and I am afraid you will never receive your earnings there. It is better when you learn the hard way so next time you don't send any coin to these websites.

HYIP is enticing since you can have a return of investment in a few weeks or months and I am one of those people who invested in HYIP before since there are others who are also saying that it is paying but then after just a few days since I invested into it, it was gone. I learned the hard way and I'm never investing in any HYIP site again.
1216  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: August 06, 2017, 08:21:12 AM
I think so many obstacles to bitcoin in order to become a global currency. A limited amount will make bitcoin just like gold. In addition, bitcoin is also not received by all countries. So maybe a lot of things have to be fixed to make bitcoin into global currency.
There are but that obstacle can be surpass if we will continue to stand for our support with bitcoin, it will not replace the current
financial system but it will just aid to make it better so I guess the government should not oppose this new technology.
We have to support and be strong as we can also hear negative speculation that would temp us to drop what we are holding now.

Bitcoin and fiat money will co-exist and people will continue using both of them as long as they are accepted. There may be some obstacle now in bitcoin since it is not yet that known especially to some people who are not tech savvy and other countries ban it but as long as we will continue to support and use bitcoin then maybe time will come when other people use it as complete replacement of fiat since anything can possibly happen.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2017, 08:03:11 AM
There's a lot of things that brings convenience coming from bitcoin like easy transaction and to communicate in other person that's why you should use bitcoin,i think bitcoin is easy to do savings and there so many bitcoin apps to easy to play and earn at the sametime,i think this bitcoin is everything to me I love bitcoin
There is no one who can dictate us on what to do, we are free to spend our money anytime and on whatever purpose, banks can freeze
our accounts but with bitcoin it is not gonna happen. I like bitcoin because not only as a payment method but also a good investment for the future.

Bitcoin is a good investment because of the price surge in just a short amount of time. Though there are times when it goes down because of some unforeseen events but it still goes up and speaking of investments, I think this one has the highest percentage of returns compared to stocks or other investment vehicle without the need to act cause you just hold it and then the price goes up.
1218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: regret by not believing in BITCOIN? on: August 06, 2017, 07:54:40 AM
who among you here heard bitcoin back in 2009 and 2010? I was one of the people who is very skeptical about it and I really regret it. Sad I missed the best opportunity for a lifetime.

I have joined some PPC before way back 2011 and then I can see in the payment option that there is an option for bitcoin but I did not mind and wasn't curious about it so if I would have just been more curious before then research more about bitcoin then I think I will be one of the lucky ones who have acquire bitcoins when its not yet that popular. I do regret not minding it but still I believe that I can still gain from it since I am here now and bitcoin is continuously rising.
1219  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't Spend Too Much Time Trading? is that true? on: August 04, 2017, 01:53:38 AM
i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically. Cry
what is your opinion?

The problem is not spending too much time in trading but you making decisions base on your emotions. Many traders lose because when their trade don't go their way, they immediately decide to do something that later on regret and then lose more money. There are people who spend too much time in trading but their loses are minimal simply because they can control their emotions. Trading is not just about technical or fundamental analysis but it involves psychology as well and when these three are in sync when you trade then more often than not it would be a profitable trade.
1220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: August 04, 2017, 01:40:27 AM
Trading with btc - eth, I buy too high ( 0,082 ) and today I sell all on 0,077. Before that trade btc - ripple ( xrp ), make mistake buy 0,0002150 so today I sell with price 0,0001200. I decide to sell all because my patience is finish. I have loss almost 40% from my money, my question is simple ................. stop or continue?

You should still continue if you have the capital because losing is part of trading and through losses you will learn your strengths and weaknesses so that next time when you trade, you will know what mistakes you made that made you loss. Of course there would be times when you still loss because market is unpredictable but you can at least minimize it by having a plan of what to do if something happen. I myself loss higher than 40% but I accepted it and then trade again.
