221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden Gems on: February 22, 2018, 08:38:12 AM
I have been reading through various threads from around a month ago about coins that were worthless that have jumped hugely such as xtrabytes and raiblocks. I'm curious to see if anyone has a token or coin that they think is a hidden gem and will take off this year?

Mysterium is a hidden gem because it's price is still quite low (under 1$), but this is a great pr0ject to build decentralized VPNs. Its team is good and it has a very low supply which makes it a profitable investment for long term.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin? on: February 22, 2018, 08:35:26 AM
Wondering if it's worth the investment? I read that there's supposed to be big things coming this year.

I think litecoin is always a reliable investment for long term. Because this coin is well-known and established, there are lots of users and it's here to stay for years to come...
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC fork on: February 22, 2018, 08:33:05 AM
I think people realised there will be no free money with the fork, because it is 1:1 ratio with the airdropped coin's total supply being like 10x higher than ETC. That is why i don't think it will rise any more.

Which coin will be airdropped?
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What INDICATORS are you using when trading? WHY? on: February 22, 2018, 08:31:24 AM
There's Cindicator which is a good app: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2062875.0
225  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your top 5 coins for investing long term and why did you choose them? on: February 22, 2018, 08:29:56 AM
What are your top 5 coins for investing long term and why did you choose them?

My top one is Waves.

I strongly believe in this project. It has anything it needs to be successful: great team, decentralized exchange, token creation, lending and even a multicoin wallet. Its price is rising, but it's still low compared to its value so I'm gonna buy more.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All crptocurrency at a single exchange. on: February 22, 2018, 08:27:42 AM
Is it safe to keep your all crypto currency at a single exchange (bitfinnix)?Or one should choose multiple exchanges.

It is not safe to store your coins on exchanges for a long period of time. Better to use multicoin wallets like Waves or Coinomi. Also, there are too many coins and tokens out there so it's impossible to find an exchange which lists all of them...
227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which coin safe for trading? on: February 22, 2018, 08:25:20 AM
There is no coin completely safe for trading. Do your own research and study before trading or investing. If you don't know what to do you will likely end to lose your money...

Life is what you make it.
It may be beautiful or a living nightmare; it depends on your choices and your actions.
229  Economy / Goods / Re: selling a house for bitcoin/auction on: February 16, 2018, 02:19:42 PM
hey. I've recently been trying to sell my mums house. she has dementia and we have had to sell everything my father left in his will. the house being the last thing. its a two bed two en-suite terrace house with garden in a cul de sac. outskirts of tunbridge wells in kent uk. its worth 400k but we have had to drop the price to a ridiculous price to even try  to get it sold in the time frame we have. i am wondering if anyone would be able to direct me as to how i could sell/auction it for cryptocurrency. i appreciate your feed back..

400k dollars or pounds? Anyway, I think you should add more info like pics and any problems the house may have. Does it need some kind of renovation or another work?
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: POLL ; VOTING for which are the best Cryptocurrency Exchanges ? on: February 16, 2018, 02:15:47 PM
I voted for the last one, Waves DEX.
Also, etoro is not a Cryptocurrency Exchange...
231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take profits – But into what? on: February 16, 2018, 02:13:57 PM
Hi,

I started with Crypto Last Year in September so before the big run up where everything was green every day. That’s when you think you are so good in trading Cryptos😉

Everybody knows what happened … the little dip  Shocked and of course I didn't take any profits before the dip, so it was also hard to buy the dip afterwards.

My Question is now when I take profits to stake up for the next dip, into what should I convert it?
Do you convert into FIAT and in the Dip you put it back to Crypto or do you convert to a Top 3 Crypto?
Do use Tether as it should be stable?

Let me know your way  Cool

I hate tether!
Anyway, if you had profits you have been just lucky, not skilled. In my opinion the best think to do is to pick a strategy and go with it, no matter what... If you are too susceptible to temporary drops and rises, maybe this business is not for you...
232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading FOREX or Crypto? on: February 16, 2018, 02:11:10 PM
I need some help.

I already have experience trading FOREX but until now im not that profitable. The market of forex is very UNPREDICTABLE. technical and fundamental analysis are not really working. Market makers and bank institutions are controlling the market. its centralized and big banks can manipulate the exchange.

Im planning to leave FOREX and switch to CRYTPO trading. Does anyone know who controls the bitcoin price? is it still the government or the whales trader?

I trade forex using Bitcoin on the website I have in my signature. Maybe it's manipulated but I think you can still earn good money if you are wise enough...Regarding crypto, it can be manipulated as well. Maybe any kind of market has some degree of manipulation. There are whales, pump and dump groups, etc. so both markets are risky.
233  Other / Off-topic / Re: which VPN should i Use on: February 16, 2018, 02:08:16 PM
Unfortunately it's not so easy to find reliable VPN, I use mullvad and it's quite good, but there are lots of VPNs out there which is better to avoid. Fake services, slow ones and even the ones which spy on you. I hope decentralized VPNs based on blockchain technology will be implemented...I saw MYST was working on something, but it looks to take forever to implement it...
234  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if the Internet was shut-down - forever?! on: February 16, 2018, 02:00:52 PM
The very thought of no more internet frightens me to death but, seriously, how would we cope in life? In business? In education?

Could we recover as a world society ever again without it?

I think I'm gonna live in a farm, tilling the soil and breeding animals.
235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where and how to Start my own currency token? on: February 16, 2018, 01:57:07 PM
Hello, I am looking to put together a team to create my own cryptocurrency. Where can I post to find primarily an "adviser" who can help me build a team of developers, operation directors, etc.?

Serious answers only please.

Do you want a coin with its own blockchain or just a token? If you need a token, in my opinion the best and by far easiest way is to go on Waves. There is a tab ("Token Creation Tab") which let you create tokens with a few clicks. Try it out!
236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: VPN usage in crypto world on: February 16, 2018, 01:54:51 PM
Hey,
Use a VPN is it importante on website about crypto currency ?
Can i use a chrome extension vpn or a desktop app vpn ?
Thanks.

Yes, using a safe and reliable VPN is very important not only when you go on crypto-currency websites, but always. Especially if you are using a wi-fi connection (wi-fi are quite easy to crack and monitor). So using a VPN will encrypt all your data, so that you'll stay safer. Unfortunately it's not so easy to find reliable VPN, I use mullvad and it's quite good, but there are lots of VPNs out there which is better to avoid. Fake services, slow ones and even the ones which spy on you. I hope decentralized VPNs based on blockchain technology will be implemented...
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Altcoin & Token - What's diffferent ? on: February 16, 2018, 01:49:36 PM
Could someone please explain to me what is the difference between an Altcoin and a Token.
I'm a newbie, so please don't mind me asking.

I took part in some airdrop recently and now I was told that it is a token and not a coin. What does that mean ? What can I do with it ?
Can I trade tokens ?
What's the point of having tokens ?

A coin has its own blockchain, while a token rely on a pre- existent blockchain. The most known tokens are based on ETH or Waves. You may find a list of tokens here: https://coinmarketcap.com/tokens/views/all/
238  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Is The Best Btc Wallet? on: February 16, 2018, 01:46:07 PM
Hi everyone,
as any one here i want to know what is the best wallet to secure my btc in?
I checked many sites trying to know which wallet is the best , but i can't decide which to use , specially when i found many types of wallets, so if any one of you has a previous experience so tell me, should i use a web wallet or a hardware wallet, and name one for me please.
thanks a lot.

First, you should avoid web wallets because of many security problems. To stay safer, better to use hardware or desktop wallets. But keep in mind hardware wallets are quite expensive and are thought for long term storage. If you can't afford to buy a hardware wallet or you don't need to store BTC for a long period of time, then avoid hardware wallets and go for a desktop one. In my opinion the best desktop wallet out there is still Electrum, although it has its problems too...
You can ask questions about Electrum is its own board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=98.0
239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Important information about KYC! on: February 16, 2018, 01:42:52 PM
thanks for the info
I never send my personal information to KYC
the result can be sad for me
I do not have a merit, sorry
but you did a good job

I agree with you! Never send your personal info to complete strangers because you don't know what they are aiming for requesting your documents. Identity documents are very often bought and sold in the black market (and not only there...). Be careful about it! Avoid bounties, ICOs and airdrops which require too many personal information.

As for me, this issue is now very important, as more and more bounty campaigns are requesting the passage of identification. But what if it becomes a generally accepted rule? Would you not send documents and participate in bounty companies at all?

Yes, I'm afraid it will become a general rule, because I see crypto-community is losing their privacy. Maybe that's a shady strategy backed by banks and governments.
My solution? Don't join bounty campaigns at all, at least avoid joining the ones which require personal information or request KYC procedures.
My signature is a referral program of a very reliable company which already paid me many times without requesting any personal info. I know from my stats many people from bitcointalk are clicking on my signature and so I'm earning from this referral program which pays directly in BTC. I guess maybe I'm earning more this way than what I may earn joining a regular signature campaign.
240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie starting out where to invest $500 on: February 16, 2018, 01:33:29 PM
As the title suggest new to crypto, small investment of $500, which coins should I be looking to invest in?

Thanks in advance for any advice given.

500$ is not so much, but still a viable amount to start investing. Buying Bitcoin, ETH or BCH is not viable for you since their price is too expensive, so it's better to concentrate on cheaper altcoins. This is a very good website to analyze coins: https://coinmarketcap.com/

There are lots of interesting projects in the crypto-community so you may choose several coins or tokens. I can make some suggestion: Waves, Omisego, Cindicator and Santiment.
