Well, 10 years is a very long-term period. It is impossible to know how the cryptocoin market will evolve in the next 10 years. Anyway for long-term investments I suggest Ethereum Classic, Monero and Magi Coin.

When will you add Bitcoin Cash deposits?

Dude that coin is FREE, just keep it. Dont attempt to buy it as we do not know where it will go. Look its crashing like hell now. Good thing I didnt buy. Let the Chinese Miners and Roger pump it for us and waste their money. If they make another pump to $1000, dump it, and buy the BCC dip. And wait for their next stupid pump. That's all I have to say about this altcoin... it's going nowhere - you don't even have a trustful wallet for it yet.
I agree with you! Since it's free money let's wait until the price will go up and then sell it. Keep calm and be patient.

Yes, many of us took our coins away from exchanges before July 31. Then exchanges didn't scam and also sent BCH to BTC owners, who could sell them with high profits. So, most of us lose a big possibility to get tons of free money. But I don't think it was too much paranoia towards exchanges; I think it is always better to keep our coins on our own wallets, regardless forks or other similar things. It was just a case everything went fine this time. If exchanges scammed you wouldn't have said the same thing.

Does anyone use Minexcoin wallet? Is it safe to use or cointains malware?

My guess is yobit. They are often the first ones to accept new coins.
Yobit now accepts BCH deposits. Bittrex too. I'm trying to deposit, but I think I will wait for days to get enough confirmations...

Can you explain how to do this step by step?
Follow this guide and you'll be fine. Don't forget to choose the right server for electron cash!

if someone did it successfully. report!!
I did it and everything went fine. Now I have BCH in my electron cash wallet.

Hi,
Has anyone able to generate a deposit address at the above exchanges for bitcoin cash?
Or is there a way to get notified on my phone about this status from kraken or bittrex?
No, BCH deposits on exchanges are not available yet. I read somewhere on this forum viabtc accepts Bitcoin Cash deposits though. But you have to send your ID for verification...
|
|
|
Very good for you. But you took huge risks putting all your coins on an exchange... anyway you have been lucky enough to claim and than sell BCH. I'm glad for you!

BCH deposits on exchanges are not available yet. Maybe only on viabtc, though I haven't tried it... SO keep calm and let's wait.

So this time you should have kept your BTC with an exchange! How ... fitting.
Ahah I was thinking exactly the same thing. The ones who risked to put their money on exchanges got the biggest reward. We, who trust only in ourselves and preferred to take control of our private keys putting all our money on our own wallets, well, we have been screwed so far...

Nobody mentioned it because that's the Electrum version for Litecoin. Electrum for BTC and Electrum for LTC (this one you are talking about) are developed by different teams. This wallet is a forked version of Electrum (BTC) wallet which works for Litecoin. Nothing to worry about if you use Electrum for Bitcoin.

You could use your cell-phone ?
How and in what way? Do you have an USB stick? Electrum has a portable version too...
No I don't have. Well, you can use a mobile wallet (like Coinomi) and redeem your BCH. Or you can use a portable version of electrum, first move all your BTC to this new wallet, then delete the old (empty) one you have on your computer and install a Bitcoin Cash wallet on your computer. Then import your private keys in your BCH wallet to claim these coins.

Here is my problem:
I just caught onto the fact that MUtibit HD is really outdated and doesn't have support anymore. I ran into a nice tutorial they made 5 days ago about transitioning to an Electrum wallet, Now, I am wondering how to transition safely to make sure I don't lose my Bitcoin cash (BCC). I just bought more BTC before the fork. I have my seed words.
Here is what I was thinking trying:
Upload my Multibit HD seeds to my new electrum wallet.
Transfer the Bitcoins (BTC) to a different Electrum wallet ( on another computer)
Then use my MULtibit HD seeds ( same as my new electrum right?) to upload my BCC on the Bitcoin cash wallet- or Electron cash wallet.
Im freaked out of my mind that I might have missed out on BCC because I had my BTC in a multibit HD wallet.
Thanks a million for any help, tips or inputs.
QUESTION: Should I even bother uploading my seeds from Multibit to Electrum or I could just transfer directly my BTC to a different Electrum wallet ?
You better send all your Bitcoins to your new Electrum wallet with a single transaction. Easier, cheaper and faster.

?
I tried in mac , i got BCC successfuly . This is done for testing purpose only. Before fork happen i already install electrum in my MAC PC. In that electrum i have 0.0002btc balance. After fork on August 1, i installed electron-cash wallet on same pc. I got 0.0002bcc in that wallet too. Means i did not follow any rules of Electrum. After that i send btc to other web-wallet and it successfully transfred. And in my electron cash wallet ,still showing me 0.0002 bcc. Means all done in same pc . if want to do , do at your own risk. Are you already able to spend your Bitcoin Cash?
