I think in 2018 you should invest in Ethereum. The coin is very promising, with a very strong team. In 2018, the Ethereum will be many events which may greatly affect its price. Also I suggest you look to ICO. For Example ArcBlock. A very promising project. Go with Ethereum. Yes. China ban was 2017/4 and cause price down less than 2,000$. some exchange sites stopped. this news being normally and have 0 effect in the market. South Korea start same planning to regulate this market. Yup. Though banning taking place in few countries, obviously adaptation occurs on the other side in countries like, Japan, Russia and Singapore. The authority calls off banning. But if you look at the citizens, the percentage of traders stopped in their countries would be more, but the percentage of the same traders trading from other countries would uplift the values. Every individual who has experience in bitcoin, would never leave earning it via any source even though their respective authority brings rules against bitcoins and other altcoins. |

The first guess is me 65k-70k USD
end of 2018 bitcoin will stable into 30,000$ in most good cases. price now crashing to less than 10,000$ and need 2-6 months to back into 20,000$ after that bitcoin can rise again to 30,000$ next 6 months. Its unpredictable looking at the moments going around the crypto currencies adaptation. Though many storms affect, altcoins stay strong with pumps and dumps. Day by day the number of investors plus the capital amount invested increases massively. This is the trust and hope that altconis would surely yield them huge profit in a short while. This leads to demands in coins and of course this will lead bitcoin value reach $30K by the end of 2018. |

for new comers I bet they are all panicking cause they are still new to this and they have no idea what they got into
the price still way ahead what it was 4 months ago , you can't consider this a crash since there is no market that keeps climbing without a dip
in general we reached a strong support level , so the price shouldn't go much lower from this point
personally I think the price will stay at the 9-12K range for few weeks before it starts to rise again
Yah. Whenever the values goes down, so many topics like the bitcoin will end, or bitcoin will crash soon and etc. Crypto coins nature is , the values pumps and dumbs always. It totally depends on the investors. This has more advantages then taking it in a negative spirit. When the price pumps up you have chance to sell. dont invest if you dont have money  Borrow money and invest in your future. For more then two years here do you know how many similar threads I saw? People complain on something that happens every day in banks world, how many people worked the whole life and stayed without pension? Crypto is not fair or gentle, you need to push your way trough. You need to know how to protect yourself, same like in the real world. If you don't know how to do that you are in trouble. Trust yourself and check more then once and you will be fine here, you can even make profit. I think if he borrows money then he needs to think how he should pay that money in everyday or monthly. it is not a problem if he has a real job and he gets paid because he gives the money from his payment so he doesn't have to worry about anything. but if he doesn't have any job in real life then borrow money is not a good idea because he couldn't pay the money. Fine. Though he earns from other job, it's not recommend to invest a large amount in a field where he is new. Let him try with a small amount. Choose the right crypto currencies. Study the market, analise and choose the right currencies. If you feel that you are not yet prepared for such investment and revenue, kindly don't move ahead. Don't waste your money. |

Its not only Ripple, you can of course buy other altcoins now as their values too have come down. Ripple is always promising. We recently had a good growth as well the market cap stood listed on top altcoins. It had around $2 spike early January 2018. Now it has come down to $1 plus. Best time to buy XRP. |

Exactly what i think! BTC will not go down completely, but Altcoins will be more important in 2018 than ever before. At the moment the fees and confirmation times for BTC transactions are horrible and this will give new coins the chance to grow. I believe in a great future for Monero! I would suggest you not to do that. Keep hold of any coins you have now. Don't sell any coin to buy any other coin. You would surely gain a lot more profit in coming months. Each coin is going to gain its own values. IF you look at the growth of all altcoins from Jan 2018, it has been so positive. So better hold on to your coins now. |

Portfolio down abt 88% but can't sell now. It doesn't make sense. It's better to hold on the down trend isn't new but this magnitude is something new. Volatility is been explained in a new form.

Correct, my portfolio is also down, funny this is, before the slump, I have thought of moving some funds and cash it out. Unfortunately, the crash happens, damping my chance of doing it, so I have no choice but to Hodl tight right now.
I believed that most of us here are really for the long haul, specially in bitcoin. This is just another test and I'm sure that it will be pass with flying colors again. We have so much optimism that we can recover from all of this. And for long time holders, this is not new to them. I'm sure that they are not shaken, only those who are really weak and afraid of the situation will really do the opposite and sell while the price is going down. Me too have to hold back the coins I have. I was supposed to exchange it last week, but held back due to the high transaction fees but now even the value crashed down. Completely erased the thought of trading instead planned to buy few more coins and hold back trusting on their growth in short while. Hope to gain a decent profit. |

Everyone who has good will and interest to use bitcoin is a target. I don't beleive bitcoin is limited only for some social groups, it should be available to everyone.
Need to check with Mr Satoshi. The motivation behind would be the people. He might have intended that everyone should be wealthy and free enough from going around banks holding debit and credit cards for their money and transactions. His other intension would have been enriching the economy. What else? |

The main reason authorities banning crypto currency is to keep their currency value high always. If crypto value goes high obviously fiats value would go down and the banks will be in chaos. These are all inter related with the current issues and dump in altcoins value being in red. Few banks have tried creating its own crypto currencies and this is the indication of business men finding the best source to gain more profits from the sources available. I've invested heavily into DeepOnion... via the airdrop and also my own BTC on KuCoin. I'm a huge believer in DeepOnion, but you're comparison is strange. Why would you put DeepOnion the table with Ripple. A privacy based coin compared to a centralized bank controlled coin?
But to answer your question... you have to decide what values you have. Do you believe in the new future of currency, unshackled by central control and special interest? If so then stay far away from Ripple.
Ripple would be a good option to buy. But now you can even look at other coins as they all lost some values. Today every alcoins values has come down. Split your investments into five if it's a huge amount, select top 5 coins and invest. For sure the gain will be so much in coming years. I come across many so say that they are investing in many altcoins. So hurry up. |

When you feel that value is too low just buy bitcoin and dont wait for next year because we do not know what would happen after the hard fork on 28 of december. And base in the previous fork the value of bitcoin are continuou increasing that is why i think and i feel value of bitcoin will increase before this year end.
