When does this auction end?
523  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Terrahash account - 24hr priority account up for grabs on: June 15, 2013, 05:09:42 PM
I've had the hardest time giving things away for free.  The mistaken impression is that if an item has no price, it has no value.  Try posting on the auction thread with a starting bid of 1 Satoshi.
524  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BitCentury] Metabank 120Gh 65nm Pre-Order Proxy [**COMPLETE**] on: June 12, 2013, 07:58:52 PM

We are charging 32BTC to cover shipping, handling, and our onsite incidentals (employees, office space, etc)

I would imagine that with that kind of profit margin, you'd hire only the best and the brightest.

Imagine a situation where one of our staff was making copy/paste or typos in the destination BTC address and all the mining proceeds from your machine went to somebody else? Imagine we didn't discover this until later after many customers were affected.

Well, so much for that theory.
525  Economy / Auctions / Re: USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 09:19:40 PM
I was just getting you started, and it worked, Auctions are best run from a low price, let people fight for them, If you start at asking or higher no-one will be interested, that's silly.  Grin

Unfortunately, the users of this forum are far too clever for that and will see right through your little stunt. Grin

If anybody wants these USB devices, here is a thread where they are available at 2.2 BTC with only moderate silliness...

527  Economy / Auctions / Re: USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 09:09:46 PM
Sorry everybody, but this auction is too silly!  Auction closed due to lack of non-silliness!

528  Economy / Auctions / Re: USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 07:53:51 PM
Who would be used as the escrow?

You could ask John K or whoever else you wish.  How about you add your winning bid + shipping + escrow fee and send it to the escrow agent.  After delivery is confirmed by signature, funds are released to me.
529  Economy / Auctions / Re: USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 07:09:55 PM
Can we start with a lower price than your starting bid? You can always state there is a min reserve price - you might get the ball rolling rather than setting the starting bid approximately equal to or greater than the estimated value...

[EDIT] ship cost to UK?

I can't change the terms of the auction.  It's against forum rules.  My US zipcode is 94019.  You can use that to get quotes from the carrier of your choice.  I'd add on the BTC equivalent of the shipping charge.

530  Economy / Auctions / Re: USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 01:58:22 PM
I am in California.  USPS Priority Shipping to US locations is $5.35 which is about .05 BTC.
531  Economy / Auctions / USB Block Erupters 24 Hour auction on: June 10, 2013, 02:50:09 AM
Hello,

I am offering 10 USB block erupters by ASICMINER.  This auction will end 24 hours after the time stamp of this post.

Starting Bid:  2.2 BTC
Bidding Increments .01

If bidder wants shipping to US addresses, add .05 to the total amount to cover USPS Priority shipping.  If the bidder is elsewhere or want different shipping, you will have to add the BTC equivilant for exact shipping charges.  Escrow is available if desired at the bidders expense.

Example Bids:

2 @ 2.2

1 @ 2.78

(Here's a little optimism)

10 @ 5.23

Good Luck to all.

Hi folks,

I've got more than I can mine with.  These are the black ones that hash about 330Mh/s.  I'll ship these out Priority mail Monday morning, or Tuesday morning if they are paid for after 4:30 PM Monday Pacific Time.  For US shipping add .05 BTC for each box which can be up to 10 units.  Come and get 'em before they're gone.

Following the announcement of the new Chinese Supercomputer, the development team at BFL hastily called a press conference to show off their new, soon to be released line of products.  Pictured below are the Double, Single, Jalapeno, and the K1.

538  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: 120Gh ASIC for 18,2-23,5 BTC shipping, hosting, group buy! on: June 06, 2013, 04:07:45 PM
Thank you, that's good to know.

2. Yes, its right. If a unit fails, then I send it to Moscow and get a new replacement.

Have you had any communication with Bitfury to verify this?
539  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: 120Gh ASIC for 18,2-23,5 BTC shipping, hosting, group buy! on: June 06, 2013, 03:43:39 PM
Hosting Questions,

There are now several units that are going to be hosted at your location.  Some of them are fully paid for by a single investor while others are subdivided into smaller shares via the group buy mechanism.

1 - I assume that all of these units are going to be operated as a large farm with total proceeds divided by ownership percentage of the whole.  This would mitigate risk to each investor in the event of hardware failure.  Is this correct?

Which brings me to my second question.

2 - Bitfury has a 12 month warranty for these units.  In the event of hardware failure would replacement units be sent to your location to replace the defective ones?

Thanks,
Oaxaca

Looks like Soniq just hit the lottery!

BIG TIME!

Let me get this straight, IF they deliver:

He gets 2% of 12x350Gh/s  which equals 84Gh/s,
He doesn't put up any BTC,
He doesn't have to host,
He just sits back and collects.

IF they don't deliver:

He has to type up some PMs.

or am I missing something?

I don't mind that, he is entitled to use an opportunity and make business from it. It's just that is very risky investment to do. It's one thing to send 700 BTC to Avalon, it's other to send it to random user without lot of safety, or without at all.

Well, hopefully it will finish good for those that do invest.

I don't mind it either.  More power to him.  I'm jealous.  It's the equivalent of getting an Avalon for free without having to do jack shit.  No work + No risk = Happy Soniq.
