Is there a problem with the burst wallet blockchain? I tried to download it as zip file and only got some kb of download speed. Downloading the chain directly from the wallet doesn't work either. Now the db.zip file went offline and I can't even start the download. Is this a known problem or just bad luck?

I would go to one of the BURST sites and ask your questions, or use the online wallet.

I really do not know what's good about burst besides the fact that it is easy to mine.

Anyways, Baryom may be taking some time in adding Burst and some other features that will improve player experience.
That man never ran out of idea.

The mining stands out... HDD mining which is extremely low power/resources, eco friendly/green way to mine.  BURST also has its own asset exchange where you can invest in projects and get a ROI.  And it has a very strong and growing community... which is important imo.

There are other things with BURST... smart contracts, just not sure where some of it stands.

Excited to have burstcoin on Bitsler though.

When is Burstcoin going to be officially available on the site?

It is indeed very good news for everyone that Burstcoin is added to Bitsler as one of the payment option. Bitsler has its name among big gambling service provider and for the coin is good for many reasons like it will be displayed as payment option. More people will come to know about the coin a good move to spread the word out.
It is NOT added as a direct payment option on the Bitsler site ONLY ETH,BTC,DOGE and LTC. Also NOT Swift so you can not use Burst in any way at Bitsler.

Now... they will add to the platform the BURST payment on the next weeks....
If you say so anything is possible i guess.  Grin

There was a big announcement from Bitsler about BURST being added to their site a few days ago... it just hasn't been implemented yet.

Wow this coin is confusing me  Cheesy

I have a local wallet and spent 1 coin to register my name,. Now according to what i can see i need a public key by sending a coin to pool.
Problem 1. This Step at  http://localhost:8125/rewardassignment.html No idea here.
Problem 2. I want to try to mine ,but i cant see anything on localhost wallet to choose the hardrives i have set up. Also will i need to join a Pool for this , because Problem 1 suggest i sent 1 Burst to a pool to get a public key.

I am so confused maybe just missing the obvious but i cant see it lol .Any advice please

I actually found the sidebar now lol can see it at 80% zoom was totally hidden before. So just How to fill in the rewardassignment form and do i need a Pool.

OK im out this suck. Even the Burst forum is dead dont even take registrations and i cant find any tools to work.

I'm not quite following you but I am one of the least tech savvy people out there and I was able to get set up and start mining pretty easily.

The BURST forums area dead?  There are 2 forums with thousands of people on there.  I would suggest going to one of the forums and ask your questions there.

Cheesy Well im not at super sayan skill level either but its quite a run around. I did try too register but need a email to confirm and seems the admin need to accept me first. My wallet dont show hard drives so i was installing plotters and such tools but still i cant see if im mining or not and my ram usage is sky high so is cpu. Maybe better to have a PC specially for this but i dont want to do that wil stick to my stake coins.Just thought it was a interesting plan as i have  access to quite allot of space .No worries thx anyway.

Go to www.burst-team.us and the forums there if you haven't yet.

I started small and just plotted some space on my computer just to figure out the process A - Z.  If you use the all in one wallet I figured it out pretty easily.

I'm. Of seeing the point in this unless you sre running a massive data center and have tons of extra space or have some sort of server you in co trol of at a company and you can use the extra space. Then you still must map it. How are you guys profiting ? I see how much a HDD is and it will take forever to break even then I can't use the HDD since its plotted and I must keep like ten HDDs stacked on a pc 24/7 using eoectricity. Given I can mine with the pc but burst just seems to me something someone with extra space they have no need for use. Am I right in saying this ? Or am I missing somwthing ? I do see the community is large I was watching this thread wince burst began and its true it will only go up in value but still.

I'm not trying to be negative. There ia no doubt this is a good coin. That's not what I'm desputing here.

The mistake you're making (and many make) all you're looking at is the return TODAY.  Mining and immediately dumping it all on an exchange is different than holding.  If you believe BURST will go up significantly the next 6 months, year, 2 years (or however long you're willing to hold) then it could be a GREAT move.  If you don't think that then don't get involved.

I can only speak for myself, I got into BURST about 7 - 8 months ago... I bought the coin, traded, invested in assets, and also mine a bit with 12 TB.  I'm up more than 20x on my investment so far.  Yet going back 7 - 8 months ago there were these exact same comments... "what's the point of this coin if I buy HDDs, how could I make money etc, etc, etc".
89  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ 🎁Most Popular Dice & Roulette🎁 on: May 24, 2017, 11:35:56 AM
Why burstcoin right now? There is so many coin that really have a good traffic, may be like ripple or even monero why choose burstcoin? Saw their coin on coinmarketcap and they are at rank 59. And this coin already been long time ago and the price is always stagnant like that. Are you seriously going to pump it right now?

Because BURST has huge potential and aspects/features different from any coin.  And the price is stagnant?  Go look at the last 3 - 4 months it's really gaining momentum.  BURST has always had potential but for the first time (the last few months) there is actually some marketing going on and the word is getting out.

I want to understand the difference between mining by using hard disks (burst), and renting the empty space of the hard disk (storj). Is what both are based on the cloud storage project?

BURST has you write "plot" files with pre-generated data in very large quantities to your drive, then it searches a specific sub-set of that data every time it is told there is a new block to process for a dataset with the lowest "deadline".

Has nothing at all to do with cloud storage like Storj or Maid at all, and you can't use the potted drive space for anything else.

Thank you, I thought that burstcoin is based on a project of stokage in cloud like storj corner a project that seems very promising to me.
The last question is what the burst project, other than the ficilititation of the transactions, I speak about the project on which burst is based (example ETH based on smartcontract, storj based on cloud storaj .....)

The headliner in BURST is the low resource, eco friendly, green HDD mining.  You use extra storage space to mine and receive burstcoin.  Basically anything with some extra hdd space can mine BURST.

There is also an asset exchange where you can invest BURST and get dividends, a market place (still needs to be developed), a very active community, and I think there may be a storage application that can be worked in in the future... not 100% sure though.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Burstcoin mining information on: May 21, 2017, 07:06:51 PM
@all  Go to one of the BURST specific sites...

burst-team.us or burstnation.com

Plenty of info, resources, and people willing to help.  But the hdd/green/eco friendly mining of BURST is pretty cool.

Hey Crowetic,

As you know I am a big supporter of your assets for a long time now, almost 1 year. I just like to know if you can reassure us investors that everything is and will be okay with the assets you own and run? because I am getting a little worried at where the assets are heading and that goes for all the assets on the exchange. The asset exchange is the back bone of Burst and if this continues down the path it's heading it could also bring Burst down with it. I just think the investors needs some reassurance right now as many people are getting scared and selling all their assets and taking a loss. To be honest the community is in shambles at the moment and something needs to be done to fix it before it's too late.

Go to the team site and talk there to him there, he has some comments up as well (that he's fully committed, etc).

My 2 cents on the Asset Exchange ... its just one aspect of BURST.  People got carried away thinking it's this magical place where you buy anything and get dividends without risk.  That's not the case obviously, like everything there is risk.  You are giving up your BURST to buy an asset share.  People can't have it both way... can't want the price of BURST to skyrocket and not have the AE impacted.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] -NEW BURST OP- MINE ANY FREE SPACE-(HDD MINING)- ATs, AE, P2P MARKET+MORE! on: May 19, 2017, 05:40:33 PM
burst assets from crowertic is a scam ? Price of uniburst so low Sad

Not at all... all assets are down in share price due to the rise of BURST.  There is actual, tangible stuff behind this asset that can be proven.

To the other guy that likes the BURST concept ... nothing has changed from that point of view!  This isn't about the coin itself, it's a few individuals bickering in the community.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] -NEW BURST OP- MINE ANY FREE SPACE-(HDD MINING)- ATs, AE, P2P MARKET+MORE! on: May 19, 2017, 05:02:26 AM
Start making it better by shutting down Burst Nation and reverting back to the original Op and getting the original Dev leading the charge. That or this coin is dead.

You're not going to shut down BURST Nation until the loud mouth thinks he's fleeced his followers enough.

Again, that person and website  (BURST Nation)  is not BURST or the official site of BURST.  Just like I can't put up a website today and be the "official" site of bitcoin, etc, etc.

Invest wisely, the trash will eventually cycle through ... and you still have an opportunity to make big money in BURST imo.

Unfortunately Adam is pumping this coin and he makes it sound like he is Burst. He is hooked up with the Awful Burst Casio and constantly pumps it with youtube videos.  I can see that the Casino is dying now and it will be interesting to see how Adam and is cronies bail. I hope Burst will separate  from this Burstnation garbage.

They police that site and delete or harass anyone that does not share their ideas.

If you want to see the real Adam Read this

https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/a-spammer-sued-by-facebook-for-873m-is-seeking-redemption-in-bitcoin

I don't want this associated with the Burst Community.

We need to think of ways to make Burst Coins usable, I have been think of a few but don't know if they are any good.

Right from the cow's own mouth! One of his replies to people voicing concerns and wishes for a unified Burst community! Stay away from BurstNation. All that megalomaniac wants is scam more people out of their money. I'm just glad I was able to dump most of his assets before the AE's recent tanking.

Think I should close my account there? Stick to bitcointalk and team-burst.us?

It's a simple as this... buy BURST, mine BURST, buy and trade GOOD verified assets.  BURST still has great potential... there is just one person with a (loud) voice creating confusion at the moment.

DO NOT invest in Adam's assets.  Think of it this way, if there was a person you knew was unethical and involved in Bitcoin... and started a Bitcoin ETF or some kind of investment vehicle... you wouldn't give this unethical person money correct?  It doesn't mean Bitcoin itself is a bad investment ....its about the character of the person.

The same applies here.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: May 16, 2017, 01:21:39 PM
Adam also used to massively hype Bitcoin.  He is one man among many people in BURST.  Obviously BURST is much smaller, but it's a open source project...anyone can contribute.  BURST is not Adam, Adam is not BURST.  He is a marketer, the end.  The coin itself (HDD mining, asset exchange, great/helpful community)...and the potential of the coin is still there.  If you disagree with Adam (as I and many do) don't buy his assets... it's that simple.  But don't let him deter you if you're interested in BURST... it's a great coin with a HUGE future ahead, which will be thriving long after Adam is gone.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: May 16, 2017, 04:29:50 AM
Adam is one (loud) voice.  But he is not BURST.  He's a marketer, that's it.  He is fairly recent to the scene.  Many other great hardworking people involved with BURST for a long time.  Singling out Adam is doing a disservice to those people... the true backbone of BURST.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: May 15, 2017, 02:45:05 PM
If you look at the cost to buy HDD;s vs the reward, you will never get your money back, with the current float and reward rate mining is not a good option.
It is eco friendly I give it that, but without real world uses, its not going anywhere.

Really?  I got into BURST 6 months ago... bought, mine some, trade and receive dividends on the asset exchange ... as we sit here today I'm up nearly 20x on my investment.  Why do people only look short term and only look at today?

Regarding the other poster and the supply... there are currently 1.7 billion coins out, but it is hard capped at 2.1 billion.  There are top 10 crypto with more supply out there than BURST will ever have fyi.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: May 15, 2017, 01:00:05 PM
I wish i could like this coin but I don't see it succeeding, its just pump and dump. The casino is the only thing tied to the coin that it is used for. I don't see anywhere where you can use burst for anything useful. In addition once the pump is done and the higher ups make their money it goes back down.

Its an interesting idea but who would use the shared HDD space, what data is stored, and what service is is allocating the drive space?

All these people are added TB to the network and plotting them , for what?

You're entitled to your oponion... but the HDD space is used to mine BURST... it's a very eco friendly, green, low resource concept compared to others.  Storage aspect may be something down the road.

There is an asset exchange you can invest and trade BURST for dividends.  And your comments about what the coin is used for... can be said about a lot of crypto.

BURST has essentially only had some significant marketing the last 2 - 3 months... and it was on a consistent rise before the latest jump.

There are devs that are highly invested in the coin, been dedicated and working for a long time now...all coins get pumped but what you're implying I don't find to be true with BURST.

Dev, our wallet stuck every day several times per day for last months. Every day we have to restart it in order to make it sync further. The time on our server is precisely correct and synced well. We are using version 1.2.8. Please, advise - this issue need to be fixed.
Sometimes we see something like that:
2017-05-14 08:07:45 SEVERE: Block not accepted
nxt.BlockchainProcessor$BlockOutOfOrderException: Invalid timestamp: 87026881 current time is 87026865, previous block timestamp is 87026844

You should be trying to contact someone more directly on one of the BURST forums.  Your comments/questions may not be seen here.
