Mine looked like it stalled at one point but I just kept it going and it finished up fyi. You could use the online wallet as well immediately while you're waiting.

Wow, are you dumbasses still holding onto hope for this crapcoin? Give it up. It has been nothing for YEARS and will continue to be NOTHING.
I've only been in BURST since the fall...already up over 3x on my investment. Smart investing, mining, and the asset exchange it's been great so far...with MUCH more potential imo. BURST is as close to "printing money" as anything I've ever found. But wait, the guy I quoted says it's crap... LOL!!!

Can burst still be mined?I turned bullish and would like to buy some!
Most definitely. BURST I think will continue to go up, up, and up. Word is getting out, community is growing, it offers things no other crypto does...huge potential imo.

What is the maximum supply of BURST? Approx 2.1 billion. But there is a hard cap on it.

So, I noticed a couple days ago that my Burstcoin balance was not increasing for around 3-4 days. In checking it again today, I find that I have not recieved any burstcoing into my online wallet in about 6 days now. before that, was averaging maybe 500-600/day. Now today, I cannot log into the online wallet, nor can I access either the burst-coin.us or burstcoin.biz sites.
Does anyone know what is going on here? Was there an attack on the burstcoin network that has shut everything down or what? This seems really strange to me so looking for someone who might know what is going on.
don't have any idea but at least dash is whaling for you There have been technical difficulties with pools, sites associated with the burst-team.us. They're working to get everything up.

Hello guys, so recently i am into mining and i remember i tried mining burst weeks ago but realised with 500gb hdd, it will not net me any profit.
So i am guessing to invest into HDD for a total of 10-20TB perhaps.
My country is based in Malaysia.
Is there any great and cheap external HDD which i can mine with my laptop that you guys can suggest me?
In my country
An average of 4TB external HDD will cost me around $13x - $15x
Anyhow, is mining burst with HDD worth?
Thank you!
i'm going to wait for some expert to answer this question of yours mate, as i also wanted to invest with mining this coin i just don't have any idea if how long it will take me to get my roi and what will be a good set up using only i7 laptop hope someone can guide us so we can start the process, thanks in advance guys. Requoting for awareness, hope someone can help us You can also calculate it here: http://burstcoin.biz/calculatorYou could except that site is still down as well. So I'm just going to assume at this point, this guy (Haitch) just shut everything down. I'm sure somebody knows, would be nice if someone gave an official word. Not shut down, was just busy dealing with DDoS attack. Any idea when sites will be fully functional again? from my end it is still offline The site is up - the pools/wallets are still under attack. "All the comments in the Bitcointalk Thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1323657.3060 ) about this site being DDoS attacked, including my own comment, have been deleted. It seems the censorship that exists over in that other place has spread to the "new OP" post. I now understand the concerns of those in the original thread" Fyi...for me the main site barely comes up on a laptop/desktop. It stalls out and says the site can't be reached, and if you keep it there it will eventually come up...sometimes. It has not come up on my mobile device in days. It still very much gives the impression it's down or having trouble. Just fyi.

I was on the site when I posted, I think it's just cutting in and out. Actually, the calculation I offered was done there just before... but yeah, looking like a big pile o' crap on that end of the network. There are a ton of miners unhappy with the state of things, and not many are buying the excuses being thrown around. One day it's because of coin rain, the next it's an attack that nobody has presented any proof of, now there is a post here saying that there is a big storm in the mid-west where the servers are, but then has a link to accuweather ...talking about a storm in the NORTHEAST. At least Nation got up and running before this shitstorm. If there was no alternative to the 'burst-team' shit show right now, Burst would lose a huge number of supporters. I would be first in line to GTFO. There actually some big power outages...more toward midwest...I just talked to someone out that way. Don't know where were talking exactly though (with regard to this situation)...and you'd figure someone would take 30 seconds and post something "official"...albeit maybe not the most important thing in their life at the moment.

Hello everyone. How far is this Android mining if I may ask the Dev team. I know there is a lot of great work being done around this but there is no info about progress. If I would like to take part in testing where should I find more info? thank you
I believe it's already up and going. Go to one of the BURST sitesite for more info http://web.burst-team.us or burstnation.com.

Storage aspect is only one part of BURST...
That's is the reason why I think Burst will fail going forward, once I see a Altcoins that want to be everything, I know something is wrong somewhere. Storj team knows what they want and are pursuing that goal and have just secured $3million investment, can Burst team market their project to VCs and be able to secure that kind of funding what are the other aspect of Burst project BURST doesn't try to be everything to everyone ...quite the contrary. Right now the most buzz with BURST is the HDD green mining and investing in its own Asset Exchange. The storage aspect is down the road I believe. The community seems to be growing wildly. It is a coin of the people...it was not premined, no ICO... while maybe some VC money comes in, it is growing through grass roots efforts. While I agree with you upon many aspects you mentioned but I don't think that only decentralized asset exchange can help project to survive the harsh competition. I also do not like to compare Storj and Burst as there are 2 different teams and different goals. Storj received funding via Bnktothefuture (if I'm right). It is very serious project with real use value. Burst is good because you earn by trading or holding assets on decentralized exchange. However, after careful study of it, I do not see a lot of potential of it. For now, Burst is an opportunity to make more Bitcoins by exchanging Burst coins to BTC. This could change if people will keep their coins and not sell. I mean that Burst should have value itself. Good comments. I agree the Asset Exchange isn't the end all be all. But it also is one aspect to BURST. I think most people are initially drawn by the HDD mining. And it's not that unique but I think more efforts are going toward a BURST marketplace to buy and sell in BURST. I guess we will disagree on BURST's potential. I don't think you're factoring in the community and how fast it's growing. A new site just opened 3 - 4 weeks ago (burst nation) and they will already have a few thousand unique members soon. If you look at wallets being opened ...Dec, Jan, Feb one year ago less than 900 BURST wallets were opened. The same time frame a year later...12,000+ wallets have been opened. In fact Feb 2017 will see an all time high in wallets opened for a month. And I have some other simple "analytics" that show the community is really growing. Does this guarantee the price will skyrocket? No, there are never guarantees. And you're right people have to buy and hold more. But to me in order to find a hidden crypto gem it doesn't have to be that complicated, laws of supply and demand will prevail. To me BURST has that hidden gem potential, just my opinion.

Yes they do have future potential. The developers are fully working in this coin. It's a pitty that the price is so low.
No it's not...that's called a buying opportunity!

BURST has huge upside imo.

I think it might be a good way to mine for people who already have good devices, but I'm not sure if it would be worth investing in equipment to mine it. I would like to hear feedback on this, and with regard to electricity costs. Is anyone getting good results?
It depends on your individual situation...if you're looking to mine and dump or looking to hold if you think BURST is going up (I do). Personally I had about 12 TB available already, my computers are already on 24/7 anyway...it's as close to free money as you get for me. About 4 months of mining and I'm at about 100k BURST (I'm holding). that would give you less than 0.02 per month after electricity but i suspect the calculator online is wrong so it's actually less, therefore you are not making an amount that different from a faucet... Not sure how you're doing your math but it's 12 TB not GB in my example...which has yielded about 100k BURST in a little less than 4 months. At current rates that's over $80. well i was right, $80 in 4 months is exactly $20 in 1 month = 0.02... I guess I'm not following what you're saying then. .02 is 2 cents usd? we are in bitcoin forum i only refer to bitcoin here, with 0.02 i mean 0.02 btc of course Ah...I'm always thinking usd more than btc.

man, cancelled orders on asset exchange taking fooooreeeverrrr to get the coins back in balance... what's going on guys?
It's irritating my bowels! so you feel me, right? I mean, it's been over 16 hours right now.... is there even a blockchain here? 198 confs on the cancellation is a bit... ummm... discouraging. WTF. seems like something that should take way less time than that. any devs able to explain this, or maybe give me an idea of how long it should take? Go to one of the BURST forums and ask. I've never had that problem...seems strange.
