Hi guys , who can send me some HUC coins so i can play this game to HA792TiaR9Abm9QVhCTuXSKEucmaQQhQoF. I will send back after i make some HUC Thanks Now is a bad time to ask. It looks like there is a fork in the blockchain, so nobody should send or receive unless they know 100% that they are on the correct chain and that whoever they transact with is on the right chain. But you're best off buying a few HUC at an exchange. You can mine other coins then flog them off and buy HUC. Some coins are only for CPU, and they might be more profitable, but you'd have to look into it.

made trial concluded with Poloniex never received coins. (
I can confirm this. I tried to withdraw from Poloniex, and they never arrived. (Still need to contact support for those coins...)

I am completely non technical and have no idea what anyone is talking about for the last 5 pages.
I bought a bunch of HUC a couple of weeks ago and keep them on qt...the name on the zip archive is "Huntercoin-1.00.05c-time-to-dest"
I have not opened my qt or done any transactions for almost a week, definitely before these apparent problems started.
Are my coins safe? once we are eventually all on one chain again will the coins still be recognised as mine and I will be able to spend them without needing to do anything different?
Thanks
1) Your coins are safe. 2) You should back up your wallet. (Check my sig for some backup software for wallets.) 3) If you are on the wrong chain, you shouldn't do anything at all. Don't send. Don't receive. Get on the right chain.

Just to clarify your post before: I delete and re-synch one of my machines 2 days ago, it took me almost 2 days to synch, but I was on the longer chain. The other computer running for the whole time (of that synching) is also on that longer chain. So if you re-synch now you can still get on this longer chain.
Similarly, the machine I deleted the blockchain on and resync'd from zero (only OP addnode IP addresses in conf file) looks to be on the longer chain. Not 100% certain yet, but from the looks of it, yeah - longer chain right now.

I haven't SSD but I sync every day my wallet, but for this block is very long. 88,221 => 88,245 : 50 Minutes ! Let's run on my computer this night...
I had it stuck in one machine. I made more space on the disk and restarted the QT. Things started moving again. It might work for you. Dunno... 88,245 => 88,441 : 8 hours this night. I deleted a lot of files, made 40GB free in my computer, closed wallet, restarted computer, restart wallet... now HUC doesn't sync anymore ! I show last block 89,890 but still stoped at 88,441. Fuck you 88,441 I have 1 instance doing the same thing. Stuck on 88,441. I've done "-rescan" 3 times. No luck... Right now I'm going to delete the blockchain and start over. I'll update on it later.

Hey, We are still working hard to try restore the the lost Coins, Anyway, until we get them back, we want to move on, We can assure you that the coins actually lost and you can see it in http://faircoin.coinexplorers.com/Thanks, Good. Just keep moving on. The only thing that changes is that some coins are potentially lost forever. It only makes what is left all the more valuable. It sucks for those that were later on the list, but... first come, first served? No reason to not continue on.

Why block 881XX to 882XX are so hard to sync ? One block per minute !
The biggest HUC's problem is the wallet to sync/download blockchain. If we create a version who don't need to sync, it's was the greatest things for HUC. Maybe a wallet always sync, and it receive order from players via a website/app iOs/app Android.
Snailbrain posted a bit to the HUC web site (I can't find it now - maybe Snailbrain can post it here) before about this and that there are plans for a web version where you won't need to sync the blockchain like now. So, that is in the pipes. I was chatting with Mithril Man a few hours ago, and he's located another tidbit where he can get extra performance as well. So, while MM's client will still download the blockchain, you'll barely ever notice it except for that instant when you see the map update and know a new block was just generated. Other than that, it's just smooooth.

Nope. Just good, old fashioned spam bots.

HUC game for iOS ? Snailbrain had a bit up on the HUC web site before about future platform plans. My guess is that an iOS version would have to build off of a web version as Apple doesn't allow any wallet-type software on the iOS platform. But I can't seem to find that news announcement now.

This is one of very few coins that is actually innovative. I don't have time to human-mine myself, but I think the idea has huge potential, especially in developing countries since it is possible with a regular desktop computer and some human time/effort. For those of you human-mining, I'm curious, how many HUC are you earning per day?
I'm only playing a little bit off and on as I've been swamped with work lately, so I only get 5~20 HUC usually. But that's not doing much at all. I'm not sure what I could get if I really tried hard.

Time to start lobbying other exchanges.
BTC-e! That would be very sweet!

Any word from Cryptsy as to when they'll manage to get HUC up and running? This is almost like depositing or withdrawing there!

I am just wondering how much time you guys are spending on this game. I just started playing but it seems every move just take so much time. So is there any strategy guide i can take a look at . I've been playing since yesterday and it does take a long time to make moves. But this is my strategy and so far I have picked up some coins and I should be able to steadily get some this way. So there is bots and you can find one of the guys strategies as a bot here http://huntercointalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2537 now thats the number one name you will see in game BGB. You can have multiple strategies and here are mine: 1. Leave a miner in the fields around the middle and when I'm on the computer I just check to see if coins have spawned and I walk towards them simple he stays in the field till your ready to call him back. Now with this strategy you have to be careful you aren't next to a BGB bots or any other bots odds are if you are next to a group of bots(usually his bots are stacked) you are going up against a bot to pick up a coin. SO obviously the bot doesn't have to be watching the computer screen and will instantly walk towards the coin when it spawns while you may be one block away from getting the coin it makes all the difference quicker reaction time will get you the coin. So space your self from these bots don't go running for a coin that is closer to a bot then you are closer to it because you won't pick it up and you'll waste time. Stick to your area away from the bots and pick from your area. I think there is other bots besides BGB out there but he is the main bot.. 2. Loot the BGB trains, its a bot plain and simple its going to make repetitive moves watch for this. Look for a field where he blows up miners and takes their coin. Have some miners set up at the neck of this field and blow him up when he is coming out the field take his coins. 3. Bombing heavy traffic areas as its said all you need to do is have some miners in heavy traffic areas and blow them up when you see people walking by with lots of coins. 4. Bomb the afk players. What it seems is when players collect in the field and when they are going to sleep or what ever they are doing they will put their miner at the edges of the field simple bomb them take their coins. NOW something very important when you are walking back with your coins be careful for the BGB guards and other players that appear to be guards if you just click back on your base when you are far away from it odds are you aren't going to make it back with your coins. SO take some times and slowly guide your player back to base. YOU don't want to go towards any other colors. You can stick with one main color or you can do these strategies with multiple colors. If this has helped anyone.. HQvkqP95fwLhN7YyRJ6sGv2vkqJ2bAZB7v Good post! That is quite helpful. I'd not see BGB's post at the Huntercointalk forums.

Bots:
Whether there are a lot of bots or not.. in the end, if the value increases or more people start to play, the game will be much more competitive.
100 Bots vs 100 Humans = Humans Win
at least until bots understand how to set traps, cause diversions, have advanced strats/tactics.
People aren't currently working together as large teams - if they did they could group up with 50 players.. each with 10 teams.. that's 3 hunters per team.. = 1500 Hunters This amount of hunters can easily dominate 1 or more entrances to the central part of the map.. and control the flow of spice
remember: it was possible to solo mine bitcoin once.. now you need to join a pool.. although, HUC is still soloeable atm (human way)
Yestarday I made 20 HUCs in about 15 Minutes (easily, with virtually no risk) -- ok, so i did have to send them out to the location a few hours before, and then send them back which took a few hours. But, i could have scaled this tactic up by 8+ times, and had hunters travelling back and forth none stop. Although there are only 8.75 HUCs put onto the map every minute, there is around 10k coins up for grabs on "hunters".
Player guilds/teams would really change things quite a bit. But I guess they'd need some way to organize. It's not really possible here. Maybe in the Huntercointalk.com forums? Skype works well for MMOs as well.

The next instalment is ready: Huntercoin: Syncing the BlockchainThis is really just so that people know what to expect when syncing the blockchain. It can take a while if you've not done it before, but if you're just catching up, it's not bad. Again, it's really about how good your Internet connection is. Mine is pretty pathetic...
