102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3 children' Father will execute himself because MTGOX on: November 27, 2013, 05:48:22 PM
If you kill yourself then you are to blame not MTGox, you have your kids and they should be more valuable then any amount of savings! Prove to them that you care about them more and man up, don't take a cowards way and leave them with your troubles. I suggest just switching off your computer and spending time with your family, or call some counselors to handle your situation.

Also I suggest people don't start suggesting he starts begging for money, if this is real he is unstable and If for example something does not go well it could make the issue worse. His kids might also be in danger so the best solution is for this family to get some help, professional help.

*also*
Please remember guys that people have done stupid things in the past because of what people say on the internet, don't treat this like a game just because he might be troll.

104  Economy / Currency exchange / UK Bitcoin Sellers - BTCSense Exchange on: November 27, 2013, 01:40:48 PM
Hey, so BTCSense is a UK Bitcoin Exchange, still in Beta however some Bitcointalk members have already used the service with positive reviews. Google is surprisingly ranking the service very well, considering I have not put to much effort into SEO or promoting the service (yet). One problem is that I do not hold a large enough Bitcoin reserve to supply the exchange fully myself, as a result I thought it might be a great idea to get some UK sellers on board, maybe even as part of a team. If you sell on Localbitcoins & Bitbargain for instance then BTCSense would provide another useful avenue for you to sell. Sellers with a stellar reputation & experience are obviously a priority, the aim with BTCSense is to offer a highly professional and reputable service in the UK for customers looking to buy Bitcoins (selling options will also likely be added).

I should add that the current system does require some minor updates to support multiple traders, however this is something I am looking into and should not be difficult to implement. Some initial interest would be great as I can then determine which strategies will be best and what to implement. Obviously one seller with a decent holding on Bitcoin would be sufficient how a group might be more productive. If BTCSense is something you feel you might like to be part of or contribute to then get back to me. All suggestions and feedback is welcome, regardless of whether you are interested in being part of the team or just like the idea. Thanks.

105  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 0.45BTC Available for £108 (UK Bank Transfer) [WTS] on: November 27, 2013, 10:59:57 AM
This is not still available, I sold ages ago. I might be interested in selling another 0.1BTC UKBT if anyone is interested?
106  Economy / Services / Re: WTS Real Social Followers - 1000 for 0.05BTC on: November 25, 2013, 06:43:48 PM
40 bucks for 1k real twitter is still expensive. Twiends does it for half of that.

I have not heard of Twiends so I not sure what kind of quality they provide, or if they send bots. Either way the price I provided is a general price for followers on any network, subscribers on Youtube for example are generally more difficult to get than Twitter followers. Depending on budget I can give an exact price for any specific networks. I should also add that with my service you can split followers across as many social profiles as you want. I have used many services myself over the years and this service I am promoting is the one I stuck with, and that I use exclusively.
107  Economy / Services / Re: WTS Real Social Followers - 1000 for 0.05BTC on: November 25, 2013, 09:29:03 AM
Wow sorry I made a mistake with the pricing, the price is actually 0.05BTC not 0.5BTC Cheesy.
108  Economy / Lending / Cash Loan with Bitcoin Collateral? on: November 25, 2013, 01:24:53 AM
Hey everyone, recently some unexpected costs have arisen and I am hoping to ease the burden with a potential loan. I am a student and there is a trip planned which I plan to go to (Brussels, Utrecht & Bruges Cheesy), the problem is I need to pay the deposit over the next few days, I also need to buy a passport which also costs more than I initially anticipated. I can just about afford those however money-wise I will be short for the next month or so, as a result I would like to see if its possible to get a cash loan?

I do have 0.5BTC which I have reserved, I could obviously just sell it (which is an option) however I am worried that by the time my money comes through (January 6th) the price might end up much higher forcing me to pay extra to get the same equivalent of BTC that I sold. I beleive it is important to at least same my small holding of Bitcoins for the future. I think it is a better idea for me to keep that small reserve of Bitcoin and perhaps send some of it to the lender as collateral for the loan instead, this means I can repay the loan with cash and get my Bitcoins back in return, without potentially losing my reserve of coins. I will have £1,700 (cash) in January so that is when I would want to repay the loan, the money is expected on the 6th however I would like to maybe schedule the repayment for say the 25th of January just to account for any possible delays in that payment (just in case).

I am looking for a loan in the range of £100 to £700, obviously if I am to offer my 0.5BTC as collateral then I guess lenders wont be interested in lending the top end? I should also add that my account is under my real name, all of my transactions to date have gone through without using Escrow so that also adds to my legitimacy. I am happy to provide some ID too. I really don't need the loan however I would rather pay some interest with cash rather than risking my small stake in Bitcoin.

Obviously I am looking for members who have a clean history, either dealing with lending or transactions. I have never asked for a loan on here before so please get back to me with your suggestions and feedback etc. It is 1:18am here so I will be getting some sleep for tonight, I will be online again later tomorrow to check any PM's and this thread. Feel free to make any offers and let me know your thoughts on possible conditions if this interests you. Thanks.

Details:
Loan: £100 - £700
Repayment date: 25th January 2013
Collateral: up to 0.5BTC (or whatever else is common as as collateral?)
Paypal is to risky, I would prefer a bank transfer (UK Bank).
109  Economy / Services / WTS Real Social Followers - 1000 for 0.05BTC on: November 24, 2013, 11:13:20 PM
I would like to offer a service to help you recieve social followers, these users will be real (they will manually visit and follow you) plus they will add you randomly over time, this is far better than receiving a load of fake bots. This service is especially great if you have a new social profile for your service but you would like to establish some authority in that community, the fact is people engage more if they see that you have a following so competing can be an uphill battle. Google have also started to take social media authority very serious in regards to SEO, so you really want to build up a following as we move into 2014. I would also like to add that I can split followers across multiple platforms too. I will only need your links to the profiles you wish to promote and once the followers start to show up you can expect between 20 - 200 followers a day, depending on the social platform and your budget. Please PM me if you are interested, a basic package would be 1000 followers for 0.05BTC, however I can cater to your budget. Sample followers are also possible.

Supported Platforms:
Facebook
Google+
Twitter
YouTube
Soundcloud
Pintrest

[5 Slots Available]

 *edit*
The price of the basic package is 0.05BTC... (not 0.5BTC)

112  Economy / Economics / Re: To people who made, lost or missed the opportunity to make a lot of money on: November 24, 2013, 01:47:55 PM
To say that money is not the most important thing in life does not mean it is not useful or that one should give up any ambitions to earn money. I guess life is probably the most important of all, money is just one aspect of life that helps maintain a living existence. Ultimately everyone should value the idea of life beyond anything else, we are slaves to our own mortality Grin.

Try locking someone in a room with £1000000000 and no access to the outside and that money is useless, the same cant be said for the other "stuff" that we are born with/develop and take for granted.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: To people who made, lost or missed the opportunity to make a lot of money on: November 24, 2013, 11:41:33 AM
I find it strange how so many people see money as "not the most important thing"...
In THIS society, you are nothing without money... You won't even find love without it.
You can't acquire food, you can't acquire a home, you can't feed a family without a currency.
This society even requires MONEY to have HEALTH in the first place. You guys are all slaves to money and you're all in denial, apparently.

You can grow your own food, free health care, I am not sure why money is needed to find love?  Homes are expensive, I guess depending on where you live.

Yes money is necessary to get by in most parts of the world but it is still not the most important thing. You can not just buy health, or buy a soul for that matter. The idea of society is BS to me though, it is a simulation of hyperrealites and signs which is what I am writing my thesis on. Smiley

My only interest in currency/money/whatever is to have enough to travel the world. I agree though it is not everything.

115  Bitcoin / Project Development / BTCSense UK Bitcoin Exchange * JV? on: November 23, 2013, 09:34:18 PM

BTCSense is a UK Bitcoin exchange that I built a few months back. At the moment the project has reached a stand still, I am happy with the design and I keep getting emails asking me when the service is live and how badly the UK needs an exchange. BTCSense is also ranked very well considering I have not yet bothered with the SEO. However there are some critical components that I feel are missing from the service. At the moment the transactions are manual, this means that without staff I need to be online to complete the transactions, this is inconvenient and I would rather work with an automated system. Also at the moment I am very low on Bitcoins so more capital is needed. Perhaps getting some investors onboard is a good idea, plus crowdfunding and maybe even getting some sellers to join. I think a lot of the technical issues could be resolved with an initial 3 man team, a designer (me), a programmer (?), and a marketer/promoter (?).

I guess the elephant in the room is the legal side of founding a new exchange here in the UK, this is the main reason I have had this project on hold. Perhaps scaling up and working on those issues as the service matures is an option, or even expanding beyond the UK if our reg's are not in favour of a Bitcoin service like BTCSense? Please leave your thoughts below on suggestions and ideas. Smiley

116  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Million dollars per coin by year 2020. I am not kidding. on: November 23, 2013, 07:21:30 PM
To add some perspective, the ~30,000 Bitcoins seized by the FBI from silkroad would be worth $30,000,000,000 if each Bitcoin was worth $1mil.

i thought they sized 140 000 btc

I did a quick search as I was not sure and 30,000BTC was mentioned, it might have been more as the article might have been early or based on rumors.

If they manage to find the rest of the 600,000 or so perhaps BTC would save face on some of the US deficit issues somewhat lol.

To be honest I think the US Gov would rather spend the $30,000,000,000 on a new nuclear missile or something. Doing something sensible, and for the people is not really their style.

...even if they didn't -yet. Maybe just 'cause they might find the thing useful for them (?) like Tor. Just to remind that your puter may get NSA-inside anytime.
